This truck is awesome, is beatiful, his black color is very good, and the KENWORTH T2000 is the best truck of trucks, do not have opponents, is full equipment, his tecnologhy is very good and his engine a cummins ISX450 or CAT c13 is very stronger and fast (this engines are COOMMON RAIL). CONGRATULATIONS FOR VIDEO. GREETINGS FROM PEREIRA, COLOMBIA.
I love the fact that KW didn't change the style of the steering wheel for years! :P Brain new KW with the same damn steering wheel and still it fits perfectly :P
Idk what the newest model of KW is now, but I got to see a new one at our factory--niiiiiice ride! And fully automatic, too--the driver was afraid he might fall asleep on his run down to TX...lol...
Nice rig and well done to the lad from the UK to get the job of driving the thing at 44 tone its no heavyer than A 40 ft here or the UK watch how ITS DONE WITH good DRIVERS
@buttonpusher37 a B double is 1 1/2 trailers together. As far as long trucks go, a B double is still only a baby by Australian standards. In the more remote areas, they can pull 3, 4, and sometimes even more full length 40 foot trailers
Yeah, spot on. Ford run B Triples in Melbourne on regular roads that are 33.5m long. There's some B Triples up north (not roadtrains) that are 36.5m long. 75ft? pfft, ours are 120 feet :-)
i agree with efendulov. i was in europe in 1996 and i drove a daimler benz 0303 bus and i gotta tell u it had a pneumatic shifter (sequential similar to an indy car) and this was made in 1990. i ve driven late model american trucks and nothing comes close to that except for the new volvo 7 series with an automatic 12 speed that u can shift manually.
If you want to see Kenworths and Cats in action a TV show is coming to 7MATE Thursday 18th October @ 21:30 called Outback Truckers. Then every Friday @ 19:30 for next 3 weeks.
@Firelife3 we can have upwards of 80 tons (160,000 lbs) but anything over 40 tons is overweight and requires permits not to mention a trailer with more than two axles. But that's heavy haul, 40-ton and less is standard general freight weight.
Oh, you still need those wrenches and screwdrivers! The on-board diagnostics direct the mechanic to where he needs to use them and fix the problem. This saves time, money, aggravation and mistakes. (most of the time but not always).
ok, ur right but its not like theres a used market for that kind of equipment. Unless u wanna start ur own channel network. In that case, good luck 2 ya.
ok but there is places in america such as michigan where the more axles you have the more weight some trucks are 75 or 100 ton or more perfectly legal. in addition on the i 80/ i 90 corridor coast to coast you can run 2 48/ 53 ft trailers , 3 /28 ft trailers for a total length 0f up to 125 feet and 60 tons and u can drives them up to 65 mph 108 kmh. it all depends where u drive
I disagree. VN770 is my fav, a 2000 model year with a Detroit, full condo, amazing riding trucks, quiet, love them! I love Freightliner too. KW and Pete, ehh...
right on. When I heard his dribble about that ˝no wrenches or screwdrivers˝ I just smiled to myself. Then again, that crap is all for show, he knows better. Some tv nerd told him to say that.
Special permits? Only in certain states. And I hate to tell them, but I see five axles (one less than this has) going down the road at 50-55 tons every day during harvest, and I've been at 53. The truck's not any more expensive than any other, it's the trailer that's expensive. Some TV exec wanted to make their self feel important with this one.
Its not longer than any other truck on the road. Check out some peoples tow rigs for race cars. A guy I race with just bought one thats 75 feet long too.
@koekwous01 I agree with you this is ridiculous there's absolutely nothing unusual about that truck except for its load, and perhaps a better electrical generator. I've seen some freight trucks like you mentioned that are far more unique and far more expensive. For one thing just those double-wide flatbeds for moving mobile homes are more of a unique truck than this is..
@Firelife3 are you kidding? 90,000 lbs isn't heavy? the average car is 3,000 The truck isn't a heavy hauler moving a oversize load but for a typical truck and (dry van) trailer 45-ton is heavy when 40-ton is most weight one can gross without a permit (in the US).
Truck + trailer is about $6-8 Hundred Thousands! but the gear in there is 7 million. I made a delivery in a B double to Melbourne worth $20 Million. Loads of Hi tech digital stuff Like PC, mobile phones etc... But I wasn't alone! I had a Security Escort in the truck and behind the truck. So I don't retire earlier.
@koekwous01 2500 lbs of iridium loaded in the back of a dodge pickup is worth a hell of alot more(iridium is one of the rares metals on the planet). Its like 500 dollars per TROY OUNCE. However, it is unusual to find massive quantities in any location. Either way, I've seen a beat up old mack carry a load worth 9 million, thing was loaded with a GPS sat, huge ass trailer....very very small payload :\
@infringementMAN Would be if they were pulling more than one trailer. If it were not for the black paint job and slightly overlength trailer, it wouldn't attract a second glance in Australia
@knlrllgll As good as the venerable W900 is, it just doesn't stack up to the more modern models, too big fuelsavings to be had in aerodynamics these days.
Did they really say a 12 liter engine? They built all of that truck and all they ordered the tractor with was a C12 CAT? If their intention was to save fuel then they probably didn't achieve that goal. I drive a 40 ton truck with a C12 and all it does is make me pull the hills a gear lower than everyone else and as a result I get the same or slightly lower mileage than guys I know who run C15's.
thats just your everyday truck really, just hauling a lot of expensive electronics... its 3 feet longer then normal, and weights 35 tons ( which they all do)...
The trailer is 6.950.000 the truck is the 50k and as for being over length? im 75.5 bumper to bumper and weigh in excess of 60tons sometimes . drop that trailer and drive away and he's just another driver...
"yeah they just plug a laptop in and fixes it no need for tools anymore" "oh right yeah ofcourse, because you dont need tools to replace a broken part"
LOOKS LIKE A NEW F.L.A.G. TRUCK FOR K.I.T.T. ON "KNIGHT RIDER"! KEEP ON TRUCKIN ELDER!
Love this show. The guy doing the voice makes everything sound epic.
I love the fact that KW didn't change the style of the steering wheel for years! :P Brain new KW with the same damn steering wheel and still it fits perfectly :P
i drive a t2000,and i just love this truck
O YEA !! U GOT THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD
Awesome! Cool Video!
Idk what the newest model of KW is now, but I got to see a new one at our factory--niiiiiice ride! And fully automatic, too--the driver was afraid he might fall asleep on his run down to TX...lol...
Man that's one snazzy looking ride.
@nazarethfan89 No. That truck and trailer, are with $7 mil, because of what's inside it.
It is part of the trailer, not just cargo.
@Nate721100 It's just a normal Kenworth. The production trailer runs off of shore power or rented generators when parked at locations.
Nice rig and well done to the lad from the UK to get the job of driving the thing at 44 tone its no heavyer than A 40 ft here or the UK watch how ITS DONE WITH good DRIVERS

I love nose trucks they look so darn good
I think so too.
There are no Flatscreens or such things which are NOW latest state of the art equipment!
I think this video is is about 10 years old.
I just graduated from Swift Truck Driver Training... can I drive this???
GODFATHER of trucks
thats cool
The same as any other truck on the highway ..there is a generator built into the trailer, that T2000 is just like any other KW rolling down the road.
Maybe you will also take to a barbie with some sheilas mate ;)
Very Nice!! Just need a modified bull bar on the front to finish it!!
oh gawd so priiiiitttaaaaayyyy~

Aren't those called "Road Trains"?
Christ those things are enormous!

how can you talk about fuel efficiency with such a beast?!?!!
I like your work and whats the cost to have my 2000 Truck 379 Peterbilt LHD transformed?
+Yahya Kamara
sure by a european truck scania, man , merc
@alexander1485 Back when TV/Discovery Channel were worth watching
it's just like driving any other trucks in america.
you drive one combination, you drive it all.
same idea.
esta chilo este video
I know of a TV truck that cost over $8 million and that was in 2000, the HD trucks now top $10 million.
wow! this truck comes with a FADEC?
Latest state of the art equipment? This mustve come out late 90s
Oh, you still need those wrenches and screwdrivers! The on-board diagnostics direct the mechanic to where he needs to use them and fix the problem. This saves time, money, aggravation and mistakes. (most of the time but not always).
good truck
ok, ur right but its not like theres a used market for that kind of equipment. Unless u wanna start ur own channel network. In that case, good luck 2 ya.
Nice truck full of gadgets but nowhere near as scary as a roadtrain on a dirt road coming toward you.
ok but there is places in america such as michigan where the more axles you have the more weight some trucks are 75 or 100 ton or more perfectly legal. in addition
on the i 80/ i 90 corridor coast to coast you can run 2 48/ 53 ft trailers , 3 /28 ft trailers

only thing i want to know is how big is the alternater and how many batteries
Yeah, but will it blend?
Nice...
Errm. Did he say that is state of the art technology in there?
do the 30 technicians come with the truck?
Wow ....a computer controlled engine! What will they invent next?
damn man 4 get da truck.... how much r u getin paid 2 drive it?
Best job in the world... ok i guess it depends but i could agree with that guy.
right on. When I heard his dribble about that ˝no wrenches or screwdrivers˝ I just smiled to myself. Then again, that crap is all for show, he knows better. Some tv nerd told him to say that.

Some TV exec wanted to make their self feel important with this one.
lol I saw this on TV when it was on air
@killer2600 here in finland we can have a total weight of 60 tons :D if you have a truck, and a 5-axle trailer behind...
that truck looks like a serious black puppy face!
Its not longer than any other truck on the road. Check out some peoples tow rigs for race cars. A guy I race with just bought one thats 75 feet long too.

@yoshihawv but this is from the late 1990s in america~!

will smith now has one as an RV
The perfect truck for the job is a Kenworth W900 with a Cummins N14 plus in it
short truck and very light, easy as to drive, i welcome him to come drive my rig, 105 foot and 62.5 tonne
I take that back-it's a little longer and much heavier, but it's not that hard to drive a truck. I did it for just over 2 yrs.
53 ft is the standard length for a full sized trailer.
hey, they make kenworths by me!
Hahahah! That's funny! Were the escorts private contractors?
It's Not a Government Security, Then it would be called Police! or Federal Police.
Sure It is one of the big security firms.
@koekwous01

beautifull
I wonder how much it would cost for insurance
Darth Vader Has His Own Truck? Damm...
класс ))))))))
@buttonpusher37 Not in southern Australia. If you're out in the middle of nowhere like the road to Telfer, nobody seems to care
@infringementMAN Would be if they were pulling more than one trailer. If it were not for the black paint job and slightly overlength trailer, it wouldn't attract a second glance in Australia
Long and heavy truck????
My truck is 80 feet, 6 inches...(doubles). Gotcha beat.
@Projective are they worth $7 mil?
ROFL @ the hood of that red car
KENWORTH is the best. and peterbilt is good
Optimus, is it you?
@knlrllgll
As good as the venerable W900 is, it just doesn't stack up to the more modern models, too big fuelsavings to be had in aerodynamics these days.

conparen, una kenworth t2000 con motor cummins, a una volvo vn-780 con un motor cummins y diganme cual ofrece mejor rendimiento, sguridad y confort
i wouldn't want this to overpass me when i'm cycling. it would scare the shit out of me
You mean pass (American term) or overtake (British term). Overpass isn't a driving maneuver.
thats just your everyday truck really, just hauling a lot of expensive electronics...
its 3 feet longer then normal, and weights 35 tons ( which they all do)...
My point exactly...
" Its quite amazing to me being an old truck driver there are no wrenches or screwdrivers anymore " something doesn't add up...
Put an old needle nose Peterbuilt in place of that kw and then you have something to be proud of
it isn't the most expensive truck/trailer.
here in belgium there is a television company that owns (tv)trucks worth of 10 million euro's
The trailer is 6.950.000 the truck is the 50k and as for being over length? im 75.5 bumper to bumper and weigh in excess of 60tons sometimes . drop that trailer and drive away and he's just another driver...
"yeah they just plug a laptop in and fixes it no need for tools anymore"
"oh right yeah ofcourse, because you dont need tools to replace a broken part"
0:26, clearly before computers were the norm.
@koekwous01 the one in the video. Your load is expensive, the truck and trailer are not.
only 751 cubic inches?
