    I want one with a flat bottom, perforated leather on the sides and bottom alcantera on the top with carbon in the middle. I already have the kit to add the M1 M2 buttons and the wireless sender/receiver to connect the steering wheel to the mode buttons on the lower center console. Also have magnetic carbon paddles to install. Just installed the XHP transmission stage 2 transmission upgrade yesterday. Haven’t really driven far or played with it yet because I had to drive normally with my wife in the car.😅

      Reach out to Infinite Autowerks. They take custom orders and can build you exactly what you want.
      Let me know your thoughts on the XHP, that is definitely on my list as well. So are the magnetic paddles later on.

    Really appreciate the detailed video. Do you know what would happen if we accidentally move the clock spring when steering wheel is removed? I accidentally rotated mine back and forth when the wheel was off, and afterwards I noticed strange random vibrations in the steering wheel

    • @Mpostor
      @Mpostor  8 днів тому +1

      It will not give you any vibration issues in the steering wheel. The clock spring would give you electrical issues. Only thing it can possibly do is maybe mess with the Lane keep vibrator motor and the steering wheel. I'd go back through and check everything to make sure it is fully tight and the vibration motor is fully seated and tightened down.

      @@Mpostor thank you so much for your prompt & detailed reply. You are right, the intermittent vibration comes from the bottom left of the weekly exactly where the vibrator is

      @alisaremi I would definitely look into that then for sure!

      It's definitely worth it, in my opinion! Being the main thing you touch in the car the most. Looks and feels amazing.

    I’m trying to pop out my air bag. The left side was easy. I’m having such a difficult time popping out the right side of air bag. Was it easy for you?

      The important thing is the angle that you are pushing the tool up, if it is not correct you cant do anything.

      My apologies just saw this. When you pop out one side don't pull it out to much. The more you pull it out the more tension it puts on the other side.
      Just barely pop out one side and then go for the other side. Just have some light pulling pressure as you hit the second side and should come right out.

      @@Mpostor thank you I will keep that in mind next attempt.

    15:34 at this point pf time in video. You pull out green tab from one sensor. Which i believe is a touch sensor. And when you put the whole bit in new wheel, it looks like you removed that sensor. I see there is no green tab on new wheel thats why. I am having the same thing. Removing that, does that cause any issues ? And what is that sensor for actually ?

    • @Mpostor
      @Mpostor  15 днів тому

      It is the steering wheel pressure sensor. So when the car fusses at you and tells you to put your hands back on the wheel. It is not on the new wheel and does not cause any issues whatsoever.
      Rock on!

      Ahh ok thanks. And confirming can i remove that even with oem wheel ? I assume it will be ok ? Better it will not tell me to keep my hands on ? And confirming it does not affect any ariving assistant features ?

    • @Mpostor
      @Mpostor  15 днів тому +1

      @savya01 If you remove it on the OEM wheel I'm sure it will have issues or throw an error.
      As far as installing the wheel I have. No codes, no errors, and no issues. Everything works perfectly as it did before.

      @savya01 15 днів тому +1

      Cool thanks. I did install the oem wheel without that. Current does not have any issues or errors so i assume its ok on that too.
      I had custom wheel before and that senspr got misplaced and i installed the oem back on as i am selling and it did not show any error or had any issues when i did not connect it as custom. So i assume all ok.

    Center console does not come out that easy. The pins at the front are a pain in the a.ss to remove without breaking.

    • @Mpostor
      @Mpostor  23 дні тому +1

      You have to be firm with it, but they do pop right out. I have removed it maybe 5 times and never almost broke anything.
      Then again, I also have a ton of experience with trim work as it used to be my job lol

      @@Mpostori wanted to comment this detail for DIY guys, who will do it first time like i did the same thing for my car a few months ago. You just skip forward that part, but it was the hardest part in the whole process for me to remove it without breaking anything. My car is G20 Lci, maybe there is a difference in the tiny pins behind on the cup holder side, but i don’t think so.

    • @Mpostor
      @Mpostor  23 дні тому +1

      @emre_murat Could be a difference but not sure since mine is Pre lci. I have a camera mount for next time doing work inside the car. Just tried to pre remove them so it was more fluid with recording with one hand.
