One thing I think was missed out was actually getting a comparison review on noise between all three brands. My main reason for watching was to see in a concert setting, whether the Hearprotek performed similarly enough over the Eargasms, or whether Eargasms are worth their premium in terms of clarity, and overall sound quality. At the time of writing, two pairs of Hearprotek on amazon is only $17 over a singular pair of Eargasms for $39. So my main question is... are Eargasms worth it or does the Hearprotek hold up its own enough to not justify the premium.
Hi Johnny - Yes, Eargasms are a very solid product, and slightly higher quality overall so we do think it's worth the extra cost. Objectively, if you are looking for the strongest hearing protection and preserving sound quality, Eargasm has the highest noise reduction rating (NRR) of these earplugs. Also to clarify, currently the Eargasm pack does come with 2 sizes of earplug shells + 1 pair of filters for $39. There are more accessories included with the Hearprotek pack, which some may prefer for total value, but the audio quality of Eargasms are better for hearing in the long term.
Hi, I am a musician and thought all the above were primarily for that purpose. You mentioned some others may be better for musicians and would put the link below. I am curious which you think would be better for musicians and why. I have gone through so many. Westone seems to be very good. I watched this because I just bought Earpeace and Hearprotek for myself for rehearsals and shows. Earpeace is coming today and Hearprotk tomorrow. Your thoughts, please? Thanks for the video
I use the Eargasm for motorcycle riding. I have a Shoei full face helmet, Cardo Packtalk Black, Harley Electra glide with upper and lower fairings. The Eargasm blocks too much noise for me to hear my music. I have to listen very closely to hear what song is playing. If I am parked right next to another rider I can not hear what they are saying unless I remove my helmet and an Eargasm ear plug. I tried to contact Eargasm to purchase different filters, but got no response. I wish I had tried the Earpeace first. Being able to adjust your filters for your needs is a big deal in my opinion. I am going to try the Earpeace next. If your not trying to listen to music or coms and wear a half helmet the Eargasm would work great. The Eargasm plugs are also comfortable for me.
I've only just used the Hearprotek. I have the Shoei gt air 2 and Cardo packtalk bold. I thought the sound blocking wasn't too good but today I carefully inserted them deeper and was pleased with results. The music didn't suffer too much high frequency loss but the wind and engine noise reduction was good, although I was driving under 60 in my 660 triple triumph trident. It would be interesting to see a comparison with the earpeace but I'm pleased as half the price. The chord supplied is a must too as easy to lose a plug as a helmet is removed .This lady has a lovely voice too❤
I have a CB500X and am about to start a long trip, so I got the Earpeace, which arrived today. I’m just wondering what you found in your comparison between Earpeace and Eargasm…which was better reducing engine and wind noise, and which allowed you to hear music more clearly? Thanks
This is not a comparisson. It's a description. No comments about quality ?
