I think I might have a similar problem but I cant figure it out. I dont know all the names but I can turn the button thing and paper can be rolled in and out, but when I finish a line and want it to move one line down it just goed back to the start of the same line at the margin where it started. I cant seem to get it to move down. Do you know what the problem might be? I have the erika 44
Hello Sanne-Nedieh, The Erika 44 is a beautiful machine. Diagnosing the problem with out seeing your Erika would be difficult and I do not know the workings quite as well as I do the Oliver. My suggestion would be to find a good repair shop in your area and let them have a look, very likely it is a small repair and most machines could use a good cleaning and tune-up. Another option would be to join a few of the typewriter groups on face book and submit a video of the problem. Best of luck with your Erika, Bryan.
