Acne is the thing causing despression, not accutane. Most people (especially teens) have a bad self esteem before starting the treatment and as the acne naturally gets worse during the first 1-3 months on accutane the risk of getting depressed increases as well. To anyone starting on accutane: Stick with it, follow your doctors advice, ignore the haters (true friends will always have your back), try your best to be in a positive state of mind and after 6 months just enjoy having a much better skin and confidence!
He clearly has makeup, I think I have the same type from what I've seen when he was at his worst, those cyst scars don't go away, the damage you get is similar to that of a deep knife cut.
Gilgamesh, you do realize that he got laser skin resurfacing to remove his acne scars, right? He even has a video of it on his youtube channel. You can barely see any of his acne scars anymore because of it.
Well then he lasered them then, my point was that those scars were not naturally gone. They do fade fairly well though but without any intervention the texture of the skin will always be scared.
True. If by "fade fairly well" you mean the redness goes away over time, then, yeah, probably. The dents the pimples leave, however, particularly the large ones, on a his face would still be fairly visible if not for the laser treatment that he got. All I'm suggesting is that he probably isn't wearing makeup because he doesn't need to; the laser skin resurfacing he got and the healthy diet that he's been keeping up already took care of the scars for him :)
The glow on his skin for me looks like makeup, remember this is a TV show, could be the intense lighting though. Scared tissue requires up to a year to fully recover and leaves tissue dependant on the damage, this is what people mean with scars "fading" well. The laser surgery is maybe what I am getting since my right cheek for some odd reason is way more scared than my left one, it looks like I am Prince Zuko from there.
Wow thank you guys so much for having me on the show, I was so happy to be able to share my channel and story and some of the things that have helped me a lot with acne!
One of my pet peeves is when people point out your acne and give you advice on "good skincare products". Most people with acne have tried millions of different products. For me, I have hormonal problems and acne is one of my signs that I have some issues with my hormones! When I do eat healthy and consume less dairy, it does clear up for a little bit, but it still flares up. Lots of people don't understand how mentally draining acne can have on someone. I'm glad this video was made not only to help people who might have acne because of their food, but also towards those oblivious to someone's insecurities of their acne.
Shayla same problem mine is genetic :( and I’m only 13 and it’s so hard for me I’ve literally tried everything and I hate when ppl stares.. especially I’m the only one at school with Cystic acne
Try to eliminate all forms of dairy , sugar, and bread. I did the whole 30 program and my acne cleared up. Once I started to eat “junk/processed “ food it came back. It takes baby steps but everything can be corrected with diet. It’s hard, if it was easy everyone would do it. Whole 30. Look into it people !
Xxx you don't like impromptu advice, so be patient with me, but; you just said removing dairy helped your skin. For me it's animal fats that cause problem skin.
What sucks even more is when someone points out my birthmark and is like you can wear foundation to cover it btw that came from my family the people who are not supposed to care what you look like I don’t see most of my family any more for unrelated reasons now

I'm 71 now. I had cystic acne from age 16 to age 30 when after going thru every treatment, I was put on Acutane and I was cured but left facially scarred. Suicide was a constant thought. No dating, no prom, no friends. It completely destroyed the life I could have had. It's still hard to talk about but I'm so greatfu for videos like these. I was not alone. I'm so happy for this young good looking man as only one who suffered is.
@@Normalguy198 why not my friend? during these times of covid, youtube provided many hours of entertainment. and a world of education and information. n'est pas?
Guys I cut out sugar and dairy and my face has improved so much in only two weeks. I also drink a lot of water, so please do this if you are struggling. It helped me a lot :)
True. I’ve cut out sugar and dairy for 6 months now, and started doing exercise too. I still get break out during my period but not as bad as before. The moment I’ve got positive for covid I didn’t watch my diet n I got cystic acne again, when I recovered, I continue my diet n yeah my face is clear again.
I tried the best and the natural way to get rid of acne at *AcneCureOnline .Com* All you guys should try this website. Because i tried it and i get great results...
Aww I felt so bad when he started to cry. People are so mean. It’s true, diet definitely has an effect on skin and everything else(hair, nails, etc) it’s different for everyone but for me, eating healthy clears my skin really good.
I think you guys should include many veggies in your diet, Brian avoids dairies and whey protein. He eats many veggies and that helps to clear his skin up

My heart goes out to this guy. I had a good friend in high school who had severe acne. People called him all kinds of horrible names. It's not a person's fault - no one wants it. Very glad this guy healed up.
My dermatologist literally told me food didn't have anything to do with my acne and wrote it off as purely hormonal. I don't go to that dermatologist anymore.
suffering from acne for more than 10 years and still suffering from it, it made me smile to see him all cleared and happy and confident. happy for him :)
Eliminating dairy, gluten and sugar cleared most of my acne. I do still get some hormonal acne around my period, but most of it is gone. Also, consuming turmeric and apple cider vinegar too helped with the acne. Before 'going natural', I took antibiotics for 2 years, which ruined my immune system and the acne just came back after I stopped. I wish I'd known about the diet aspect earlier!
You mean 'consuming'? I just take 1 tsp of turmeric mixed with black pepper a day. Also a few tbsps or Apple Cider Vinegar a day. Also use turmeric and ACV as topical treatment particularly good for scarring and inflammation. Turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory.
The turmeric spice is fine. You can mix 1 tsp of turmeric, about 30 'turns' of black pepper- the pepper helps the turmeric to work and mix it with the non-dairy milk. It helps if you consume the turmeric with something with fat in it- such as the soy milk etc. Also, use it as a face mask. Just mix some turmeric with honey or water, make it into a paste and apply for about 30 minutes. Use a clean makeup brush to apply and always wear gloves because turmeric gets everywhere! Don't worry if it stains your face, because it will wash off in the morning shower. I would also recommend using a rosewater spray on your face- that helps to ease inflamed skin.
Same as my brother... Having a cyst acne.. it kills his confidence.. ☹️ He always crys on his room.. and always starring on the mirror.. He said to his self.. he become a monster.. it breaks my heart hearing that.. I always cheering him up.. giving all the products and healthy routine..
Well my brother say justin bieber also have a acne so he thought he was Justin Bieber and i proud to my little brother that he is so confident of himself ✊
Tell him try Tulsi original "holy basil tea". Drink one cup a day. It cleared my skin after 10 year battle with acne, and trying everything under the sun.
@@danieldiaz4584 actually when im depress and i ate fatty foods the next day i woke up my skin looks better amd when i cry i dont know whyyy theee fuck is this skin
Sugar equals high glycemic index which = Insulin spike which = oxidation in the blood & blood vessels, where nutrients are supposed to be instead. No it won't "cause" acne in the same way that dairy probably will but your not helping your body deal or repair with inflammation, your in fact causing it. There is nothing good about it.
I saw a video where a guy cleared up his skin by taking high doses of vitamin B5. He said it's water soluble so it's ok to take high doses. The other name for it is pantothenic acid I think and said it's cheap at the vitamin store
I heard vitamin A and D could also be the cause of acne so check your vitamin levels too. Try cod liver oil it has both vitamins and more for healthy skin!
I haven’t eaten dairy in three years and I would still get eczema. I lessened my grain intake and still got it. So I gave up nuts and it cleared up. Also started getting hormonal acne and the moment I went back to eating hormone free chicken it cleared up. I think all of this stuff that they pump into our food is messing people up. Half the stuff they put in our food is not acceptable overseas.
Wow! What a beautiful acknowledgement to everything he has gone through. It's so sad to know how few of us really understand the importance of what NOT to EAT and What to Actually Eat... AND how food is actually medicine.
Zetoria he did go on accutane and he said that his face did clear up, but unfortunately it came back. the second time he cleared up his acne it was all thanks to his diet.
I suffered from acne for over a decade and it destroyed my self-esteem for years. I tried everything under the sun but nothing helped like changing my diet and intermittent fasting.
I heard in vitamin A deficiency cystic acne is one of the symptoms and Also I heard prone acne people lack vitamin D too. A friend takes cod liver oil because it has vitamin A and D but also she put garlic on her acne over night for two days her skin burnt tho so if anyone wants to do it just put a little bit of the garlic juice and wash in morning, the pimples are gone Idk what really helped but she still taking Cod Liver Oil and no breakouts yet it's been like a week and a half! Anyways also I heard soy milk cause acne in some people so Idk if you drink that I drink soy and it doesn't cause acne on me but this is why I think acne is a lack of some vitamin
I did Accutane. The effects start to wear off after awhile, though there is a permanent reduction. The best thing I ever did to get rid of acne? Quit dairy. Dairy is full of estrogen. Acne is largely a hormonal issue. But even so, with completing a full course of Accutane and giving up dairy, I had some acne that persisted. I started supplementing with Magnesium and spraying Magnesium on my skin after showering. This cured the rest of it. I do intermittent fasting too.
Try Potato juice paste on your face once in a day for a month and see the result, also don't forget to have a proper sleep and drink lukewarm water with lemon juice on empty stomach early in the morning
Glad you figured this out at a young age. I suffered with cystic acne until I was 45. I saw dozens of dermatologist across several states and tried everything except Acutane. I spent thousands on lasers, facials, light therapy, products, medications. Cutting dairy and sugar from my diet cleared my skin. I get an occasional zit but nothing cystic or frequent. Best wishes for continued healthy skin.
and that's why i hate most of what doctors say, they only sell you their stuff which in most cases isn't neccessary you spend so much time/money on that crap while the answer often is related to your diet which is cheaper, healthier and the better solution anyways. i'm glad that i can use google for everything, so many problems i had were just about lifestyle/diet instead of taking some drugs from doctors.
Diet works on some people, but there has been no evidence showing it's a cure. I have suffered from severe acne all my life and tried everything including diet. Meanwhile so many people that I see eat like crap and have perfect skin.
It breaks my heart hearing how cruel people were to him. I pray that my kids are never bullies. God bless this guy, he’s really inspired me as someone who also suffers from acne, to change my diet. Really felt his pain, so happy he’s living a more confident and healthy life 😌 I hope we are all out here raising more respectful kids. So many lessons in his story beyond a cure for acne. Appreciate this video

aqualuv99 the reason is not the same for everyone. I have tried a lot of products and dairy products have rarely been part of my diet. I consume junk foods once in 2-3 weeks and eat home cooked and often organic food everyday. But I still suffer from moderate acne. My periods are regular too. Idk what's the problem.
Wow, I have significantly less acne compared to this guy but I used to be so insecure and sad. Seeing this video made me realise that we should always be thankful to God about the fact that we have all of our organs and body parts in working condition. Kudos to you for overcoming your struggles. I'm gonna have a strict diet myself and avoid dairy and meat products as much as possible.
Acne means you have a gut issue. I dealt with this for 18 years and I'm 31 and finally have clear skin. Avoid pasteurized dairy and hard to digest wheat you will see wonders in your complexion. Makeup isn't even a necessity if you have a solid foundation. Your body if healthy will give you your skin tone, naturally. Topical stuff can work sometimes but your attitude and gut health determine how good your skin looks.
I struggled with cystic acne all over my back for 5 plus years. I tried everything and accutane was the only thing that got rid of it. I've been off accutane for 3 months and I'm living a nightmare. everything is coming back so thankyou!! I'll definitely be trying to change my diet
Aww poor dude. i totally know how you feel. i had bad acne in the early teens, i would cry bc i felt so hideous. my mom got me accutane (before they pretty much banned it) and it worked! it got worse before it got better though, and that was extremely hard to deal with. luckily, as an adult i dont have any acne. my skin stays pretty clear now, but i remember how NOTHING worked to clear it up. it was so discouraging, bc of this I'd pile on makeup to cover it. even to this day, i sometimes still wear a lot of makeup for someone who has clear skin (its not a ridiculous amount or anything). but i catch myself still doing things like that bc of being insecure about my skin for sooooo long. now, i finally have the confidence to leave my house without makeup, and im 100% fine with it. i wouldnt be caught dead outside without makeup when i had acne. i hope his skin stays clear! drinking copious amounts of water really helps.
glover they didn't ban it they took it off he market and reformulated it due to its side effects... I was on it to and now I have joint pains and I'm 23👍🏼
Accutane is pretty much the only thing that works well for me, at least for a while. It tends to come back. But when I'm on it, and for a few months afterwards, I'm totally clear. And no side effects except a bit of dry skin. Nothing else really works for me. And I've tried just about everything.
Hi Gavin, just wondering how you're getting on now.. your story reminds me of mine; my skin was beautiful while on Accutane and for up to six months post treatment. Then came back, and I cried for days .. it's sooo hard once you've been clear for a while to have to go back! But I've been on THREE circles of accutane and now I no longer want to go back on it. Any advice greatly appreciated :) I realise everyone here is saying go vegan, but that doesn't work for me, I've tried. - anyways, best of luck to you and all fellow sufferers :))
I tried everything, I finally decided to put all my faith in God to heal me. I prayed and even wheb things didnt seem to get better I still praised Him. He completely healed me of cystic acne and boils and I havent had one for 2 years where id almost get a new one every other day. God is good thank you Jesus.
It blows my mind that people believe there is a god who ignores the prayers of millions of children starving to death or fixing any real problems, but at the same time, they think he will fix their zits or help them find their car keys. How delusional can you get...
Indiegaze Christ followers believe in God by walking in faith not in sight. This is a terrible world however when bad things happen we believe in a greater good that we dont notice in the moment. Faith in God is everything through the thick and thin. If you dont like it good for you. Ima stick to believing in Christ
For years whether I'd attend a party or a family get together would depend on how my skin looks. I never told anyone this. I hated it so much because I couldn't control my break outs. They controlled me. Sometimes I'd have clear skin which made me feel happy and confident. This happened because of what I called luck. I got sick and tired of depending on luck. I wanted to feel confident everyday. I noticed a change once I changed my diet. Don't waste your money on expensive facial cleansers! Find out what foods are causing breakouts and eliminate them. I stopped consuming sugar and it's making a difference. I still get a pimple every now and then which means there is something else I need to eliminate. I'm gonna try getting rid of dairy products. I love cheese and ice cream, that's going to be extremely hard!
Oh wow same here, depending on my face how clear it was I would go out, I always said maybe to everything and waited until the day before or the same day to agree to go out, many times I didn’t it really affect my social life since most of the time my breakouts are bad. Worst thing is, im good looking, I know girls like me but I don’t have the confidence to go out with them if my break outs are bad which is most of the time. I normally talk myself into thinking Im not good enough because my face is so mess up, always saying to myself when my face clears up I will be unstoppable but its been most of my 20s already , I feel like acne was ruin my life and. Will never be able to recover those golden years
BaldManLogan i am lactose intolerant, and people with asthma when having dairy get phlegm too, dairy isnt for human consumtpion, we are the only animals who have milk after growing age and just so you know the dairy products at the store arent even 5 to 10% real milk, my cousin works for TGLee and he packages all the milks for that brand and others so you get at least 80% powder and water. I used to have milk everyday until i becamelactose intolerant and even if i could id never go back, my weight has remained balanced, barely have trouble breathing. If anyone is to have milk then directly from the cow would be best, other than that youre better off without it

@baldmanlogan....the dairy industry is not kind to cows. A lot of people stop buying milk because of that and also it's not good for you. We aren't cows, we don't need their milk.

Twizzlin That was just a quick interview, I follow him on social media and his yt channel so I know a bit more than you😉 He just chosen the best way of living life possible😃
My face was so bad all my teenage years into my late twenties, and being a female it was worse for my self esteem I was called things I never heard of. So I feel for this guy.
i have had cystic acne for years when i was 13 i started getting it and slowly it took over may face and it got worse and worse. even though i was a topper in junior high (in india its grade 9th and 10th) i was constantly bullied and a million times i thought of killing myself. but i took my time i took some meds but mostly, i changed my diet and added more veggies and less sugar and choose the path of being vegan and i am a model now ❤ love for all of those who suffer through this. ❤ stay strong!
thanks this video literally saved my life, ive had a loaded gun in my mouth jsut waiting for the nerve to pull the trigger because i couldnt live on acutane or with my acne anymore. 6 months dairy free and i cannot believe i have no pimples. i used to get 42 active yellow pimples a day. now i get nothing thank you so much
I'm a huge fan of Brian, and his videos were honestly the catalyst to talk to my doctor about my own acne. But I call slight shenanigans with this interview. Anybody that's followed him knows that he was on accutane for over a year (much longer than a normal course of accutane), which greatly improved his acne. Then he started a vegan diet, which he attributes to his clear complexion. But I think it's probably 80% accutane and 20% vegan diet that cleared his skin. The doctors also praise how smooth his skin looks.... But if you've watched his videos, you've seen him have laser skin treatments. A vegan diet didn't erase acne scars. Laser skin treatments did. So while I love his videos, this interview is fairly misleading. You won't look like that by just eating vegetables.
I have watched his videos as well, he went and had plenty of treatment - filmed everything and now crediting everything to diet. Hope he gets his zits back.
Yeah I’m a huge fan of him and his channel and have watched plenty of his videos in the past, but I too was a little caught off guard by how much they disregarded those other aspects
I suffered from severe acne too when I was teen, I get rid of the meat and dairy products and in a year I was completely clean when many of my friends were dealing with skin issues! Look I'm not saying everyone got to go vegan but for sure veggies are our best allies in a healthier lifestyle my friends! Only one little life to live at the fullest , live it healthy !
I love you so much Brian. I remember watching your video that was showed on here and crying together with you...I had bad acne in that time and I really understand the pain. Thank you so much for helping thousands of people go through the same. YOU ARE AMAZING ❤️❤️❤️
I'll make it real simple for everyone out there. You are what you eat. Substances you intake affect your genetic expression. While you may have acne now, if you put in the work like he did, you will find the cause and will overcome it. Accutane is not the solution, not the only one, and it comes with its risks. I experienced psychosis when I took my first dose (50mg) alongside 10+ physical side effects that would render me unable to function or move for over 24 hours. BUT HEY here's what works for me : sulforaphane + oleuropein. Currently also testing panthothenic acid doses with boswellia serrata and meriva turmeric. I ate half an entire broccoli a day for a week and my skin has been clearer than it has been for the last ten years. Don't give up people. Love y'all.
I m so glad that this brave man kept fighting all that stress coming from a society that always finds flaws in people. Dealing with body shaming is itself a war that kills you everyday.
Its so heartbreaking people can't realize how crushing to ones self esteem it is! Not only that but painful!!! This poor young man but I'm so happy it worked out for him. He's so handsome!
This is me. I went through everything he described. I have had acne or better yet cysts of this magnitude for 10 years or ever since I moved to America. This isn't just acne, this is very unhealthy type of cyst; it's your body telling you something is fucked up. I was made fun of and harshly criticized by peers and family for not taking care of myself. I visited dermatologists many times to cure my condition but none of them were able to help me. They kept dismissing the cause to bacterial infection. To speak the truth, they didn't give a damn about my problem. One day, my friend brought bratwurst (pork sausage) for dinner. It was the best bratwurst I had in my life. The very next day, I had multiple cysts breaking out. Then I realized, my diet was the cause. I cut pork and milk out of my diet. My face started getting better instantly. I only eat chicken and beef and I do my best to avoid beef and soon I will be cutting that shit out of my life. I recently confirmed and double triple confirmed that butter fucks me up too so that's over as well. I suspect that the dairy and meat industry in America is doing something to the meat or I'm just allergic to animal fat.
I’m going through this rn, it’s awful, i can’t help but think about it and how people who look at me must be looking at my acne that’s literally all i think about
I was given accutane. Soon after all my hair fell out. Hair grew back super thin with dry scalp with dandruff. Also tired grey before 40. Warning do not take Accutane.
@Abubakr #Apostate man i cannot stress enough how big of a role your diet plays in curing acne. When I was a sophomore in high school i decided to start eating healthy and start going to the gym. I didn't even know the food you eat has anything to do with how the skin on your fuckin forehead, I just wanted to be healthier. Bro before I knew it my acne starting going away, slowly, but it did. It was so bad I just took a side by side picture of my sophomore id picture next to my senior year one, and you can't even tell i'm the same person it's insane. All I'm trying to say is just do some research on what's healthy and what's not, and make a change because I was in the same place you were and 2 years later my face is 100% clear.
My dermatologist straight up told me sugar can make acne worse. Scientific journals have published studies to back this up. Sugar itself mostly likely doesn't cause acne though. (just like water doesn't cure it) So if your derm told u your acne is not caused by your diet, they probably assessed your skin and told you this from a place of experience and recommended a treatment that WILL improve YOUR specific type of acne. BUT it never hurts to reduce processed sugar in your diet to see if it helps. Good luck to u, I'm on a skin journey too :)
So glad he found the culprit!👍🏾 Reminds me of a beautiful woman that worked at my job who started getting really bad acne like this and it broke my heart to see the change. I know she had to have felt self conscious about it but she didnt let it show. I wanted to ask her what she was eating but we werent close enough for that. A couple of years later her skin was totally clear and she later revealed to the staff that it was her bodys reaction to tofu and soy products she’d started eating once she became vegetarian. Once she realized the connection and stopped eating those products her skin once again returned to its clear and radiant state. 😃
I ditched dairy 2 years ago and never looked back. I had skin problems and the following things helped me... Drink plenty of water. Eat fish (omega 3,6,9's), and avoid process foods. Removing dairy from your diet can make you calcium/magnesium deficient, it will make you weak, tired, moody and miserable (I learned the hard way). To avoid this, take calcium & magnesium supplements. I tried almond/soya milk but it gave me stomach problems. Calcium alone isn't enough, your body needs magnesium to absorb and regulate calcium levels. Google the benefits of magnesium, you will be surprised.
I'm on a magnesium supplement. I use soy or almond milk( rice milk too)..[I do have regular ice cream from time to time. Magnesium wise I use a "chelated" form. (For bette r absorption).
I followed this guy as a bodybuilder. Great to see he's worked on his health besides just aesthetics. I also suffer from adult acne, but I'm gonna cut dairy and eat more veggies
My dermatologist pushed and pushed drugs on me. He told me that my diet has 0 to do with my acne but I knew he was wrong. I also stopped drinking milk and the big painful cyst like acne on my chest and neck went away. I still get a hormonal cyst or two but nothing like it was. I also found that not overwashing my face and not using those intense peroxide acne creams helped even more. I was washing my face and chest so much I striped it of the natural bacteria that I need. Anyway. You're a handsome dude! Even back then and I'm so happy you were able to find something that works for you. We are what we eat!
that's why i hate doctors, mostly they sell you their crap drugs instead of telling you the truth, changing diet is the answer to so many problems, but they won't make money of off it for telling you that.
Ashley haas Whatever works for you. But for this guy, I’ve been following him (his youtube channel) before he started his vegan diet. No, his acne stopped not because he changed his diet. It stopped because he went onto a medication cycle using Isotretinoin, the Accutane. His worst phase was cured by using accutane. Only wayyyy after that, he change his diet to vegan. They are just selling his story as a vegan, but thats not true and very misleading.
Oh how acne has made me cried. I even remember waking up in the middle of the night because my cystic acne hurt so bad. I cut out milk as well and started using African Black Soap. Cleared my cystic acne right up!. The DIY video about ABS is my #1 to date. So happy for Brian! Hope his story gives confidence to others that one really can clear up their chronic acne.
Finding the root of what’s causing your acne is key to make that small change that will help you big time. Mine was a hormonal imbalance, I’m doing better now after 4 years battling acne.
I wonder if they specifically told him not to say "vegan,"? Because that's what he is and that's what he attributes his clear skin to, but he left it at upping the intake of his veggies and cutting out dairy...just wondering why he never mentioned the word vegan
dana ward Just because you eliminate dairy and meat doesn't mean that you are vegan...veganism is an ethical choice not a health choice...not eating meat/dairy does not make you a vegan plenty of people do this and they still wear leather and fur....
I had a similar experience when i was young. My cystic acne was maybe half as bad as this and in some ways it was more awkward because the contrast between a really really bad pimple against normal skin made them more cartoonish/garish. It's one of the reasons i would wear a long fringe on my hair, because i never really got acne on my forehead, when my forehead was exposed it made the acne on my cheeks really stand out and show how bad it was. There were kids who joked about how aliens or spiders would hatch out of the really big ones, it was not a pleasant social environment for a kid. Fortunate would have it that i went through a period of time of not eating any crisps. There was no real reason for this, but my skin cleared up significantly at the time, it didn't resolve the issue by any means, but i'd say my skin improved by ~80%. When the family got crisps back in my skin flared back up and that's when we suspected the connection. When speaking to my GP it was suggested it was probably the oil content of the crisps as we (my family) experimented a little bit with different snack foods and got different results. baked corn snacks like wotsits or monster munch had no to very little affect on my skin so i knew that every now and then i could treat myself to something nice and tasty and not omit all crisp snacks from my diet. The worst crisps were Walkers Sensations, a single packet of those would fully flare up my acne cysts for nearly a week like the ones you see here. I have mad empathy for anyone who grew up with any level of acne.
I’m only on the second day of my diet and I feel amazing. I’m doing this for my acne. No longer eat dairy, sugar, processed foods, pork, and beef. They didn't let him finish talking about what else he eliminated from his diet. I bet he also cut out sugar & gluten. Cutting out gluten caused my adult-onset acne that i had for 10 years to clear within 3 weeks!
Lol gluten does nothing bad for you... the only people who shouldnt eat gluten are the ones who are gluten intolerant... plus if you cut off gluten you can become gluten intolerant... no benefits
I was in the same boat. Cystic acne from 12/13yrs-19yrs, accutane didn’t help... two years ago I tried the Keto diet, ended up basically only eating meat. Here I am two years later, perfectly clear skin all over my body, scars reducing, and for the first time I’m not wearing any makeup. Diet is so important!!
Drink plenty of water Boil water if you don't have bottled. Cut out or cut down on red meats. Wash your meats lemon juice or vinegar. Make sure he does #2 regularly Prunes are helpful It will get better
Cut down on red meat? Oh boy, that's going to be hard since he loves food so much. I've cut out dairy and sugar. He is currently on Curology and it seems to be improving. Again, I'm just wow by your story! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the replay, Brian! I appreciate all the advice. He's good with doing #2, sometimes even 2 times a day, lol. I understand what you're saying (ex: cut out the fat like chicken skin out of his diet). He drinks tons of water. The weather here has gotten colder and that seems to be helping too. Thanks again!!
That's so interesting, cause I did almost the exact opposite! I increased my dairy intake, but only eat raw dairy. Lots of raw butter, kefir and some buttermilk and yoghurt. I decreased my plant intake, cause almost all plants caused me gut issues. I had to cut out every single plant seed (such as nuts, seeds, grains, beans, legumes and any flours and oils made from them) greens and tubers, or I would not only get acne, but also stomach aches for days. Even from such benign things as macadamia nuts and oats and sweet potatoes. I can only eat botanical fruits (cucumber, pepper, avocado, lemon, and sweet fruits, except banana for some reason) and fermented plants (sauerkraut) from the plant kingdom. As well as coconuts and chestnuts, despite them being nuts, as they never cause me issues beyond a little bloating. But I feel extremely good and skin is better than ever. I can also tolerate moderate amounts of berries. For the rest it's whole animal products, including organs.
Reading through some of the comments for those that do suffer from this. I hope you too find the help you need like this young man. I’ve come to understand that it’s more than what we all know for those of us that are lucky to not experience this.
I took acutain 3 times I’m 63 and still get cysts so now I still take an antibiotic, minicyclin 100. I had hundreds of shots in my face. I have autoimmune thyroid problems. It is a continuous battle but Right now it is under control. best wishes to you, hang in there
get off the antibiotics youre killing your stomach. youre making the issue worse. antibiotics dont cure acne period. just make it worse. from experience.

This guy had acne in such a bad way yet usually he's very positive and hopeful.Kudos to him.I never had acne this bad and I would have probably killed myself if my skin was in such bad condition but this guy takes it the right way, deals with it and I must commend him for not going all crazy because of it.Not often do you see such maturity and understanding because acne especially this severe can cause major depression.I wouldn't have been able to handle it.Way to go man!
For 100s of thousands of years we ate orgranic food and different food.. Now with technology, our diets are have dramatically changed and our bodies are not designed for it. Thats why we are al sick.
and here I am, I eat as much junk food as I want I never had any problems regarding acne in my entire life, I'm 25 now, it just proves how different we all are.
it's because you don't have the bacteria "streptococcus" that causes acne so you can eat as much junk food as you want without having a zit! this guy have been killing this bacteria by eating right and healthy : )
It is still possible to clear it up. Just because something runs in your family doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll get it. Dairy, sugar and processed foods turn on the genes that make you ceceptable to diseases and inflammation but if you cut out those things and eat real whole foods it turns off inflammation in the body.
Girly No My grandfather and mother had very bad acne. I had AWFUL acne when I was 11/12, but it really started clearing up at 13, and at 14 I barely had any breakouts, and since 15 my skin has been incredibly clear. I cut out dairy, became a pescatarian, stopped eating candies and chips, and used a simple skin care routine (scrub exfoliant, acne cleanser, an oily skin balancer, and an acne fighting moisturizer. I used to use a lot more products like serums and shit, but using too many products really made me break out, and having it being simple made a huge difference in my skin.) It can be genetic, but you can still find a solid skincare routine and eat healthier to improve your skin. I haven’t had any acne in a long time, besides the occasional pimple that lasts a day at most, while having the genetic predisposition to acne prone skin.
elijahp my dad and mom both has serve cystic acne. I been have acne sense the 4th grade. I have always eaten pretty healthy. And I have tired cutting off dairy and chips etc (for 2 months). All I got from it was a natural glow.
Girly No It might take something stronger then. You might have to go on some sort of medication, but there’s really nothing wrong with acne 🤷♂️ it’s mostly cosmetic. Do whatever you feel is right for you
I'm definitely feeling what this dude went through, I'm suffering from severe acne and seeing other people not having this makes my self esteem and confidence low as heck
After I went vegan my skin cleared up SO much I used to have chronic acne and cutting out dairy, meat and eggs (which also have hormones and antibiotics and growth hormones in them) it definitely helped my skin. I also cut out oil and that helped a ton as well.
I used to consume acutante...but then I stop because considering all of the side effect after consuming this med. then I realize I must change my diet... with drink a lot of water everyday..eat vegies..avoid dairy food..and it works!!
I feel this pain men, ever since i got my first pimple and I thought its not a big deal but when 1 to 2 years later my pimple and acne is all over my face, i felt weak and discouraged and then i go to dermatologist after taking its prescription all my pimple and acne i got my clear skin back, but when i didn't think to much about it and ignore all the stuff and suddenly my pimple and acne is all over my face again, the soap i used doesn't work anymore, i try every product but still hopeless and now i know my skin better, because of this incurable face of mine I cant even face my friends, classmate and people all over me, also i dont have money for dermatology, i felt depressed But since i watch this, I felt enlightened and i just think that maybe you know i will start to stand up from my bed and do this, avoid oily foods since my face is always oily maybe thats the cause, yes i will discipline myself, if no one does then who will? myself, from now i will achieve my new goal.
shame people don't realize how much acne impairs a person's confidence
Peter Lyu true
Peter Lyu I forgot how much it hurts to wash your damn face.
Honestly
Acne is the thing causing despression, not accutane. Most people (especially teens) have a bad self esteem before starting the treatment and as the acne naturally gets worse during the first 1-3 months on accutane the risk of getting depressed increases as well.
To anyone starting on accutane: Stick with it, follow your doctors advice, ignore the haters (true friends will always have your back), try your best to be in a positive state of mind and after 6 months just enjoy having a much better skin and confidence!
I'm at the point where I get mad and sad because of my acne , seeing others not with it makes me feel alone and no confidence
This gives me hope. His skin was 100 times worst than mine. Now is clearer thn mine. This means tht i can achieve clear skin. Thankyou.

I wish I'd known about the diet aspect earlier!
leopard prints If I may ask, do you mean 'avoiding' turmeric and apple cider vinegar helps clear acne?
You mean 'consuming'? I just take 1 tsp of turmeric mixed with black pepper a day. Also a few tbsps or Apple Cider Vinegar a day. Also use turmeric and ACV as topical treatment particularly good for scarring and inflammation. Turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory.
turmeric is an awesome root! Im glad your acne is better now :)
leopard prints does it need to be fresh turmeric or can u use the tumeric spice?

@X-Modz what?
Removing dairy from my diet cleared up my eczema. This is really true and good that he found a solution. His skin looks great!
Swarthy Daisy
What about candy
Does it really cause acne?
Sugar equals high glycemic index which = Insulin spike which = oxidation in the blood & blood vessels, where nutrients are supposed to be instead. No it won't "cause" acne in the same way that dairy probably will but your not helping your body deal or repair with inflammation, your in fact causing it. There is nothing good about it.
Xiaxci the proof is in the pudding man!
Swarthy Daisy .....dairy means.....should I cut down milk from my Diet.....?

@@staypositive950 You used Magnesium Chloride?
Try Potato juice paste on your face once in a day for a month and see the result, also don't forget to have a proper sleep and drink lukewarm water with lemon juice on empty stomach early in the morning
Long term use of Accutane causes fertility issues

Thats just opposite what happened to me..after i did keto, i started to get more bumps..

Accutane is pretty much the only thing that works well for me, at least for a while. It tends to come back. But when I'm on it, and for a few months afterwards, I'm totally clear. And no side effects except a bit of dry skin. Nothing else really works for me. And I've tried just about everything.

I find this young man to be amazing ,not because he cleared his skin but because of his honesty when making videos about his skin ......
Will never be able to recover those golden years
Dairy is such a culprit of so many things, living dairy free myself, my sinusitis and allergies are 80% better
7saany or have you thought of you being lactose intolerant or allergic to dairy? Instead of just blaming dairy products for every health problem?

7saany I drink over a half gallon of milk a day it has never affected me but we all r different I actually drink it to gain weight milk is great for skinny guys trying to build muscle
What an great story. I'm going to add more veggies to my diet.
thealize808 Well he is vegan if you are inspired by him;)
thealize808 he didn't say that
Twizzlin That was just a quick interview, I follow him on social media and his yt channel so I know a bit more than you😉 He just chosen the best way of living life possible😃
thealize808 well he said veggies cleared his acne. Maybe he decided to go vegan later in the game not right away.
Twizzlin The first thing he did was stop eating diary according to the interview
Ss stuti same dude same
Holy shit good job
It’s just like working out. 80% is diet, 20% working at the gym.
With skin it’s, 80% food, 20% exfoliating
thanks this video literally saved my life, ive had a loaded gun in my mouth jsut waiting for the nerve to pull the trigger because i couldnt live on acutane or with my acne anymore. 6 months dairy free and i cannot believe i have no pimples. i used to get 42 active yellow pimples a day. now i get nothing thank you so much
You do realise this was posted today
WhydidAmericans elect this guy He probably meant Brian Turner's videos.
He said "this video"
WhydidAmericans elect this guy Yes but maybe he meant to say Brian's videos. Idfk.
you should go vegan now :)
When I saw him after his journey I couldn t stop smiling. He s so handsome and his skin is flawless. Sooo happy for him.
Yes, it’s really annoying and misleading for them to sell his story while what truly stopped his acne is Accutane.
Finally, doctors that acknowledge the effect diet has on your skin. Well done guys!
You went through a terrible time but you have a gorgeous face and tremendous courage and a bright spirit. You will help many people bless you. ❤️
I love you so much Brian. I remember watching your video that was showed on here and crying together with you...I had bad acne in that time and I really understand the pain. Thank you so much for helping thousands of people go through the same. YOU ARE AMAZING ❤️❤️❤️
CarnivalOfTheDamned9 I have acne my face 3year what I can do every day I cry
You’re so brave for even going on a public show revealing your story ❤️❤️
This worked for me too and used Accutane twice and my acne came back... Quit Dairy, healthier diet and acne is no longer an issue...
Marcela Alzate-Rios I never tried accutane but I cut almost all dairy out and my skin has cleared up alot in the past 2-3 years.
So Happy for Brian Turner 😭👌🏽👊🏽 Beyond The Weak for the WIN ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥
I was bullied for my acne when i was in school.
I understand the type of pain you went through.
@@sailingaeolus lmao :D
Hey I also feel his pain
And I'm strictly against bullying anyone
@@sailingaeolus Stupid fuck. If you truly did that. Karma will get you.
@@danieldiaz4584 ok buddy the bully deserves it
Its so heartbreaking people can't realize how crushing to ones self esteem it is!
He gave me a lot of understanding for people with acne.
im sorry but who would touch someone else's pimple that friend is nasty af
reby sully lol ikr
he's an acne bully
+Talk about an, omg this is so true!!
My friends do that :'( nasty fucks
Kaila Perez im dead haha fr
I’m going through this rn, it’s awful, i can’t help but think about it and how people who look at me must be looking at my acne that’s literally all i think about
I was given accutane. Soon after all my hair fell out.
Hair grew back super thin with dry scalp with dandruff.
Also tired grey before 40.
Warning do not take Accutane.
Ralph Ramirez don’t fear people accutane is brilliant hair loss is very very rare u was just unlucky but accutane changes lives
Worked great for me changed my life
@Abubakr #Apostate man i cannot stress enough how big of a role your diet plays in curing acne.
I took accutane and I love my skin now two months after.
@Abubakr #Apostate give up dairy. Cheese, milk, yogurt, whey
It's sugar and milk for me, makes my cystic acne come out. I've never found a dermatologist who will agree that diet can bring on acne, frustrating.
Coz they’ll lose money. You’re a customer for life. They have to keep you around
@@thelegendarykevininsales7589 YUP
Went back to eating cereal and milk again then boom it came back
Same here. Trying to be vegan and my skin is great
My dermatologist straight up told me sugar can make acne worse.
Brian and dr Travis have a nice face structure
So glad he found the culprit!👍🏾
Reminds me of a beautiful woman that worked at my job who started getting really bad acne like this and it broke my heart to see the change.

@@milliescott8498 wtff, a decent comment on youtube?
yeah it's true. it's like my smell of my fart just got upgraded.
Only Omega 3 is needed for a better skin
I'm on a magnesium supplement. I use soy or almond milk( rice milk too)..[I do have regular ice cream from time to time. Magnesium wise I use a "chelated" form. (For bette r absorption).
He is so brave, that must have been so hard for him. I'm so happy things are under control!
Dairy was it for me too. Didn't figure it out until I was an adult, but so glad I did.
You're a very very brave man to go through the physical and emotional pain. Precious results!
Stopped eating fast food soda milk and my pimples went away naturally you are what you eat
Not necessarily. Some have the disorder where it's too out of control.
I wonder if they specifically told him not to say "vegan,"? Because that's what he is and that's what he attributes his clear skin to, but he left it at upping the intake of his veggies and cutting out dairy...just wondering why he never mentioned the word vegan
Is he really vegan? He mentioned cutting out dairy but perhaps he still consumes fish and other animal products? His skin looks great.
J SMITH he is 100% vegan yes, Brian turner on UA-cam :)
Ah! Thank you for the information!!! What you eat really does make a difference!!!☺
dana ward
Just because you eliminate dairy and meat doesn't mean that you are vegan...veganism is an ethical choice not a health choice...not eating meat/dairy does not make you a vegan plenty of people do this and they still wear leather and fur....
koko kaa look him up on UA-cam it's Brian Turner 👌🏽
Everything is organic even the fish and eggs I eat (wild caught/cage free). I juice and have smoothies everyday with my meals high in fruits and veggies.
I used to have bad acne. I never picked any of those pimples. People were making fun of it, but i thought long term. Now i have fair skin, no scars!

What did you do bro please tell me I also have really bad acne 😥
They didn't let him finish talking about what else he eliminated from his diet. I bet he also cut out sugar & gluten.
Cutting out gluten caused my adult-onset acne that i had for 10 years to clear within 3 weeks!
He is a strict vegan but he does eat gluten. I follow him on snapchat etc. Hes a real foodie....but in a healthy way.
Lol gluten does nothing bad for you... the only people who shouldnt eat gluten are the ones who are gluten intolerant... plus if you cut off gluten you can become gluten intolerant... no benefits
Such a good dude
I was in the same boat. Cystic acne from 12/13yrs-19yrs, accutane didn’t help... two years ago I tried the Keto diet, ended up basically only eating meat. Here I am two years later, perfectly clear skin all over my body, scars reducing, and for the first time I’m not wearing any makeup. Diet is so important!!
This guy is actually so good looking
Love this story! I cut dairy out this week for my 16 year old son and already I see a huge improvement.
Check on a vegan low diet... You can cure a lot of diseases with plants!
I had acne from 15 to 35. so, I know the pain. wish I would have known about this back then.
He exposed Medicine lol... They felt useless after he confessed that he did it on his own while no one else could :) EAT CLEAN guys! So happy for him :)
That sounds extremely painful.
and here I am, I eat as much junk food as I want I never had any problems regarding acne in my entire life, I'm 25 now, it just proves how different we all are.
it's because you don't have the bacteria "streptococcus" that causes acne so you can eat as much junk food as you want without having a zit! this guy have been killing this bacteria by eating right and healthy : )
But sometimes acne runs in your genes
Yeah its bad for My mom and me
It is still possible to clear it up.
What the hell is left to eat :(
I used to consume acutante...but then I stop because considering all of the side effect after consuming this med. then I realize I must change my diet... with drink a lot of water everyday..eat vegies..avoid dairy food..and it works!!
Man this is such an easy fix to acne, I'm glad I watched the vid cause it'll help me out a lot😁
I feel this pain men, ever since i got my first pimple and I thought its not a big deal but when 1 to 2 years later my pimple and acne is all over my face, i felt weak and discouraged and then i go to dermatologist after taking its prescription all my pimple and acne i got my clear skin back, but when i didn't think to much about it and ignore all the stuff and suddenly my pimple and acne is all over my face again, the soap i used doesn't work anymore, i try every product but still hopeless and now i know my skin better, because of this incurable face of mine I cant even face my friends, classmate and people all over me, also i dont have money for dermatology, i felt depressed
But since i watch this, I felt enlightened and i just think that maybe you know i will start to stand up from my bed and do this, avoid oily foods since my face is always oily maybe thats the cause, yes i will discipline myself, if no one does then who will? myself, from now i will achieve my new goal.
