Well Dave, Fore is a mythical place for sure.Stones throw away from me here too. You know it has a big history with motorcycle road racing too i take it? Used to be some atmosphere there years ago with motorbikes racing through the village and on past the abbey.
Beautiful bike the VFR800 VTEC. I have a 2012 in the same colour Candy Apple red. I own a new Africa Twin which I love, but if I had to keep one bike it'd be my VFR.
I also love Fore Abbey for a trip and great roads from Julianstown here across . Also love music and play a lot more now that I've retired..That's also when I took up biking . Best two things.
Another great video Dave. Fore is one of the few places I haven’t been to yet. I have to make a trip or 2 that side of the country on the bike. If I’m right and your VFR has linked brakes they can be a bit of a bigger to bleed. I know the earlier system was. Not sure how much it changed from when I had my blackbird to the VFR. Keep the videos going
Hi Dave, loving your spiritual place, we all need a 'Happy Place' to go to. Loving your channel and motorcycle content and banter.....it's really good for the body/mind.....and Soul..! Thank you. Keep doing what you -- Fabulous. Peter Scotland
Great ride out and general chat Dave. As a VFR owner (2001 Silver) I love that bike; when the V-tech kicks in it’s like a kick up the arse and the screaming is lovely. Regarding ceramic coating…I’m not convinced the expense is worth it, my VFR paintwork and alloy looks virtually new without it, surely a modern paint that has been properly applied should stand up to everyday riding? On a slightly negative note I’m not keen on the 360 cameras, too much distortion. Hope your reminder to subscribe has the desired effect. As an aside are you and your subscribers aware of ‘On the Road’ channel, a very honest, amusing and genuine couple riding Africa Twins….BRILLIANT!…..Take a look and SUBSCRIBE!
Wheelie good haircut Dave - you look years younger. I don’t think I’ve ever visited Fore but recall that it used to host road races for motorbikes, rivalling the likes of Skerries and the North West. Enjoy your trip to Spain.
@WheelieGoodTV Yes but Ireland is much bigger and soooo much more choice of roads. I go every year and do thinks of the Wild Atlantic Way but in the car...yet to venture on the bike. I'll have to see if I can get RTE another way. Not got Sky 😢
You have that bike looking fabulous Dave, I must do a bit of a restoration on my 99 Blackbird. It runs fine, but it needs at least a respray, and the suspension sorting.
Hi Dave, IM only getting to watch the video now as im just home from Salou this past week. i wondered if the CBR had sold before you got to speak to the guy as i hadn't heard back from you but i'll continue to keep my eyes peeled for you 🥸 the search goes on lol. I did see a 1996 GSX-R SRAD 600 during the week while out for a walk, the spanish sun had faded the plastics but there was less than 15,000 kms on the clock it would be a nice one to restore.
Got to love the VFR best colour option with gold wheels. The other Honda 600 looks good two but the VFR takes the win.And the ford Escort and the Peugeot 405 brings back memories as owned both those vehicles
You should join up with Richi Vida (another motorbike vlogger who likes to sing) at his wildbad motorbike chat/music weekend and do a number together on stage. Not sure if the country western/rock music blend would work but would be fun to watch..
Thanks for the ride out Dave, the VFR is an amazing bike that I quite fancy myself. All the best in your search for the CBR too, excellent colour scheme but I don't see many about in those colours. I hope to see you at ABR next weekend, are you there for the full weekend? I'm going on Friday onwards but going home on the evenings as I only live about 5 miles away!
Cheers Michael. Yes I’ll be there for the whole weekend from Thursday until Sunday. The highlight of my annual biker calendar this event. Please come up and introduce yourself. Cheers. 👌
@@WheelieGoodTV I will for sure, unfortunately I'm working on the Thursday and still have to give the interceptor a check over. Usual last minute rush! 😂
I brought my first big bike yesterday and it’s a red vfr not as nice looking as yours at the minute but hopefully will be close with a clean and iv just subscribed to your channel
I bought a VFR800 after watching your videos and very happy with her as my ride, question, is that a quad lock that's holding your phone? I'm looking at doing same. thanks in advance ☺️
Hey Dave sorry if I missed it - what is windscreen you have on the VFR now? Edit: saw a previous comment where you confirmed it was the PUIG racing screen… but looks like you put a bead around the screen?
Hi, from Toronto Canada and enjoing your vfr and street triple content. I'm a VFR guy and on my second. I have a 2014 vfr contemplating to going to street triple RS. Would this be a good move since you have both even though I have a 2014 VFR 800. I like unique machines thats why I like VFRs but the triple RS interests me. Whats your take since u have both. Is the RS that much faster than the VFR.
Hi, actually they are very much alike in terms of riding position. However the RS is like it was custom made for me. It is simply the best bike I’ve ever ridden and I’ve probably ridden between 30-40 bikes. Its handling characteristics are unparalleled and combined with its light weight make it the perfect bike for me. I’ve got a video coming out in a few weeks about touring on the RS. When I ride the VFR after the RS it makes me think maybe I should sell it and I never thought I would even have those thoughts. Don’t get me wrong, the VFR is a super bike but the RS is incredible. All subjective of course but hope this helps.
Hello from Spain!. I have a question for you. I'm a 54 rider and i do about 25-35k every year. I'm ride 4 seasons. now, i have a GSF 650S, great bike but...no soul. The question: If you only can have one motorcycle in your garage, with my needs of kilometers, riding alone with luggage, making a mid rev riding, not slow, but not hyper fast, the VFR can be these motorcycle? Or, maybe a 1200 model from Guzzi like the Breva or the Norge, can do all of this? And yes, i'm looking for a motorcycle wit character and, soul. Thanks in advance!
Ah the UA-cam gremlins strike again. Would you mind posting the link to my email please? Wheeliegoodvideos@gmail.com I’m in Spain week after next and would love this to keep over there. Many thanks. Dave

Fab video Dave. That really is a lovely bike !

The VFR, a bike that was built to last. Comfortable tourer.
