- All right folks today was a good day in the field. We spent most of the day moving snow from gas meters in order to protect the homes from potential dangers, we actually uncovered 1 meter that was pulled away and leaking so it just goes to show you that these measures that we are doing are working. We are saving homes from being destroyed and possible lives from being lost towards the end of the day, we decided to swap the chains on the loaders because the John Deere is down for the season. It’s going to need some major repair work, so we decided to retire at for the season and put the good chains on the cat check out some of those meters that we uncovered a couple of them were nearly 20 feet below snow. Stay tuned for the next video. It’ll be Trucking for the rest of the week.
It's been an unbelievable 4 months , new season snow record. This channel was made at the right time. Document the thaw and show us how you build and repair all the damage done in mammoth.. what a beautiful place! Thanks for the great content 👍👍
I agree; in years to come it would be a valuable document, showing the whole process and what lessons were learnt, etc.
Alta, Utah, has also smashed the 800 mark for the season. The Great Salt Lake has been receding for years now; this obviously won’t reverse all the damage but at least it will help stop the rot in the short term and fill the reservoirs up, with some run off making it back to the lake after years of severe drought.
Man I am tired just watching these ppl shovel, props to them
Anyone who ever says do the job right the first time and you won’t have to do it again, has never dug snow in the winter.
The ENTIRE community - residents, store owners, the ski resorts, and the tourists - everyone owes you and your team a great sincere thank you. I think that it would be appropriate if the City Elders held a (nice buffet, catered) dinner for EVERYONE who kept the town/city alive! I reference, your team and the other teams who gave and gave and gave to keep everyone safe and the city operational. I wish that the City Elders would peruse this small note, get off of their bottoms and do something nice in appreciation. It goes beyond financial issues - it's just the right thing to do. Bring the entire community together, and embrace those who worked tirelessly to preserve the way of life in Mammoth.
I couldn't even imagine doing what you guys do. I wouldn't even know where to begin. You provide an invaluable service to the community. Great job guys!!
I love the dogs, they’re so funny.. I can’t believe all the building going on there and everywhere! Where are all these people coming from geez!
Crazy getting at those gas lines , I said it before but Your shovel crews truly are The Roof Rockers ! Great job guys 😎👍🍺🍺🍺🍺
Heck of a job Plow Brothers! My wife and I are visiting Mammoth next week. A thousand thanks to you and your crew for making it possible to visit such a marvelous place. Love from TX❤
So many roofs to clean off, you have a great bunch worker's love your coment wish I was a dog, I feel the same way sometimes, what a great life they have
I have learned so much from your videos. I’m thankful that you update us daily keep up the good work!
белорусы наблюдают за вашей работой также и восхищаются ею, сил и здоровья вам!
You guys are clearing our house on Lakeview tomorrow! Appreciate it! Hopefully we make the video! :)
your videos are very informative for those of us in other deep snow areas. Wish we had you and team here. There soon will be the melting phase which will be another challenge altogether. Stay safe!
we use a hotsie steam cleaner with 2 wands for ice dams, red nozzle for the big stuff, yellow when we get close to the shingles. no damage to roofs. works awesome
Good to see spring coming with melting snows. You guys have way too much snow.
There will be mush, with pools and lakes of water everywhere that you don't need them.
Hopefully, you have cleared trenches around your homes and condos. Because all that melting snow will
become water dropping straight down next to your homes. The water has to have a place or places to flow.
If there is no where to go it will go into your home or condos.
It will be weeks of melting mushy snow with freezing again at night. Hopefully, streams and creeks are open to take
that water away down and away from Mammoth Lakes.
Hopefully, everyone is safe and high away from this coming water event. We don't want to see any more damage to
property and people in the Mammoth Lakes area.
I grew up traveling in a 1976 GMC motor home almost just like that one. Ours was the longer wheelbase though. Love to see them still on the road. They were built really well.
It’s just crazy to watch these vids. Thanks for posting them.
For a relatively young plowing company (2 years) you have amassed a LARGE arsenal of equipment....DAMN!!!
@ 14:39. Like the dudes narration style. Doesn't repeat words, add extra words / phrases that aren't needed. Clear and concise with good cadence. Please keep including him/his narration. Same with dude at 18:20! Great job as usual and fun to watch. Stay safe Gents and Best Regards and Best Wishes!
What ever happened to the gas meter the fellas smelled gas at??? Was the fire department called? If so if they couldn't get to the meter, what did the do to mediate the gas? YOU guys are AMAZING!! I always get so excited when I have to shovel snow, this year was a bust for us on the east coast. Looks like you received our snow. God Bless each and every one of you, may you all be SAFE!!!
These shovelers are Animals my God. I'd be dead in 15mins
Im in Mn with plenty of snow still. You’ll be dealing with snow up until next season at this point. 04/03/23
Sadie!!!!😍
How will that snow ever completely melt by next winter? Good Lord.
You guys are in for a hell of a mess when that stuff starts melting!!!!!
Great Thaw acometh!
Awesome job Ed and the boys...
Hmmm...so on the old pewags...could you put a titan star on them to better the traction...like on what you can put on passenger vehicles? Just an idea... ^^ Nice video as usual.
STARWOOD CREW, GREAT JOB, THANKS FOR UPDATE FROM HOLLAND.
This has definitely been a winter and early spring of extreme weather. Your guys dealing with record snow and the center of the country seeing really savage severe weather. Hopefully the overall weather pattern changes soon!
Prayers for families safety in houses and workers safety in their freezing muscles 😬 And pray for a very steady & slow snow melt. And warm camping trip for Sadie & Bud.
I knew a pipe line engineer who worked on the Alaska line.
At the spring thaw flying into Barrow you could smell dog poo at 2,000 ft after the snow melts away.
Something to think about where the dogs do their business.
Hopefully not too close to the house..🥶
Have a good Easter, Plow Brothers. I have found your snow removal videos uber fascinating. Thank you for sharing from someone from South Dakota.
look like you was watching Shawn My Self Reliance Channel, that was so cute with your dog 🐶 seem like your golden retriever like Cali ,
Thank you for all the videos watching from Reno NV
There are a few really good chiropractors there in town. Snow shoveling is a tough tough job.
I lived in Mammoth off Chaparral in the 70s and the 2nd story had a front door and had to dig it out too. Stuff was trouble into May and outer areas into June. Didn't open Red's Meadow until June.
There is going to be major flooding when it warms up, any towns thought of investing in the trucks that melt the snow. New York city uses them.
I'm very worried about that for these snowed in areas.
You guys are great, very hard winter but At least the drought is over for most.
Good luck and be safe.
❤from the mitten
Yeh, your titling this video, awaiting th thaw. Well Tehachapi, Ca. Is suppose to be receiving 60's for several days this week. They are at 4,000 feet above sea level. I hope your warm up, won't flood your area too. B-Strong, B n Christ.
Hats off to your hard working snow shovelers. I'm pretty sure most people have no idea what it's like to work that hard for 8-12 hours a day. A word of advice. Don't mess with them. They must have twice the muscle mass they had at the beginning of winter. lol Keep up the great work.
I can so understand the fatigue that you all must be feeling....the ice that the gas line diggers and roof cleaners have to experience is huge and then the constant breakdown of equipment is always a given in any type of construction...you and your crew of everyone has been the most amazing triage group I have ever witness right along side of firefighters and medical folks as well as soldiers...and learning curves you are going through. I am so impressed...Can you give an update on Tamarack Lodge...heart of my childhood
50 loads.
Wait till the hoa's have to tap into their reserves. It's going to be Crazy.
Fun to watch! Makes me even more grateful to have moved from MN(3rd on record for season snowfall totals) to SC 7 months ago 😁
GMC motorhome. Classic.
I just love that you love your dogs!
Lucky dogs, lucky owner!
Mountains are awesome! Winter even better.
Sam loves cars has been vlogging in Utah. I hear they got 800". Different kinda vlogging but still mountain awesomeness.
Can't wait to see Ben Mike , and Ed have serious outdoor fun. Thanks guys.
So many second home owners here in tahoe just coming up and realizing the snow was huge this year . Many leaky roofs renters asked owners to have roofs cleared .they refused now the damage will be way more than cost of snow removal 😂
The snow melting must be incredible f it gets very warm fast. Incredible, Cant imagine anymore.
My foot doctor from Sioux Falls SD also watches your videos.
O
How cool my sister lives in B town. She runs a farmers market downtown at the hens roost on Saturday and the haggin oaks golf course on Sunday. Check it out if your bored.
Thanks Ben.
I think I saw Snowshoe Thompson at the Warming Hut last week.
If you're getting this much snow now wait until it's summer time you get so much rain probably going to get a ton of rain this year.
It looks stormy up there from Lone Pine!!
Beautifu and smart dog. How long have you had Sadie? Did you have her from a pup?
I have some really cute baby pictures of Bud and Sadie but it won’t let me post them on here.
Please do videos as it starts melting!!!!
How comfortable your shovelers would be if they had the appropriate breathable winter outerwear. What a difference that would make I imagine. Get em some KLIM.
Maybe next year
@@plowbrothers365 When one experiences having the right gear for strenuous activity at elevation.... It's eye opening. When you stay dry, comfortable, you perform better.
I know you do your best for your guys. I guess in away it something one has to experience. I see them with that sweaty safety gear and I just feel for them ..Thanks you for what you are doing and sharing.
LONG Mud Season!
First from Alabama 👊🏻💪🏻
Holy sh$&! Here in the Twin Cities in Minnesota we got the 3rd most snow on record. That’s nothing compared to what you’re dealing with!
Over 715 feet...and counting
More snow for twin cities tonight
Love watching your videos. They are so interesting and we can learn so much from all of you. How many tons of snow do you estimate you are moving this season???
I use a portable jack hammer with an extended 3" blade to chip ice dams. At about 45* angle on concrete, it'll just upend frozen ice in seconds.
I like the multi million dollar mansions, doing contract work for the fire dep. People will crying to have structural repairs done, will there even time for new construction. Those labors are not carpenters.
Did the Warming Hut used to be Berger’s Burgers?
Those gas meter dig outs look like confined space.
Hope Owen has not been fired as we have not seen him as of late.
Please watch UA-cam videos on how the JAPANESE remove snow from their roofs - the tools that save them many man hours! Wood cutting saws, and chutes!
Next winter. Going to cover all gas meters with plywood ??? Whats the fuel bill. So far on equipment.
Need a clam shell bucket crane
Weather models are flipping, next week could be no bueno for the big thaw.
Is it upslope from the south east that gives the big dumps?
How do you keep from having to shore up the snow when you dig the deep holes to expose gas meters???
Sounds like your walking around at 10k.
if reincarnation is real , i want to come back as one of your dogs.
October by then the snow might all be gone, that is if el nino doesn't show up...
Is that Posa's channel?!
Pretty much every house I see here has very bad roof insulation (full of ice). Is there any particular reason for that or people are just saving money on insulation when building houses over there? I mean there are some obviously newer expensive houses.
ps: I'm a carpenter and build houses for a living, just curious. Where I come from, this would never get accepted on the newer constructions (40-50 years old or older buildings is exception).
More dog footage!
where do they truck snow to? how far is it from mammoth?
We have two snow pits in town. One out in the Snowcreek Meadow, and the other in the Forest Service boneyard snow pit off of Highway 203.
Where did Owen go?
Where are the residents, homeowners? Are they only there in summer?
There are a lot of second homes up here that are may be used once or twice a year or only in the summer that otherwise sit empty. Rather sad since we have such a housing shortage here for full-time residents. Many of those second homes don’t have property managers to check on things until it really becomes a hazard or an incident, especially after a winter like this.
Oh, and the residents are too busy, working, full-time serving our guests, and trying to take care of their families, too. When they’re done doing all that, shoveling out tanks/meters is usually last on their list after just trying to get out their front doors because they’re so exhausted!
@@Mermaid4Ever Thank you. Was wondering.
It's all going to melt at once the first day over 50°. Then California's going to drown.
как часто бывают у вас такие зимы? это просто невообразимо для нашего восприятия...........
@@GAVACHO5150 О, ты так внимателен, что быстро дал ответ. Спасибо!
One in 250 years at the worst and more snow is possible
@@alexthemtaandr211weatherfa2 They just beat the record from 2017.
So 5 years. Before that 10 or so.
Break up will come.
Stay away from this guy!
He thinks he's his dog's mind reader and spokesman🤣🤪🤣
We love Sadie and Bud and friends. 🐶🐕🦮🐕🦺
Why do you say the same things over and over again, one right after the other!!
🤷🏻♂️
Fucken guys 🇲🇽💪🏽
What is snow load in mammoth on houses we have 100 0ound in 0lumas county. AT 6000 feet🇺🇲🇺🇲🪖🙏
