The follow through refers to an action that maintains the posture without releasing the internal power the shot for about 3 seconds after firing the arrow.
When shooting the bow, the pushing and pulling arms simultaneously maintain even balance forward and backward. When both arms move in a direction other than the aiming point (up/down/left/right), there may be a widening in the grouping size on the target face.
If the form from stance to release is good, but lacks a consistent follow through, the archer will not perform well during competition.
Though archery equipment is important, basic fitness and form expertise must all be combined to achieve a high score.
For every sport, choosing the right equipment and form is critical. With proper and safe shooting posture, an archer can expect high scores.
