You have said and done all of this 100 times now. All of this is just a rerun. Only thing you have not done is worked with professionals and gone to your diabetic classes. This comment will no doubt be deleted because it is not hug-box approved.
You just bought a boat load of junk food, you can’t lose 200lbs and have a daily ration of Doritos 😅 and your breathing getting onto the treadmill is giving low oxygen level. I hate to tell you but you are pushing into “too little too late” territory
It seems to me that ordering your groceries through the app is removing accountability. Did Salah know you ordered for "him" all of those chips and snacks? If you were shopping in person and negotiating together, I don't know that you would have made the same decisions. Please don't rely on social media for health advice, either. You've been prescribed specialized nutrition classes for your condition, please take them.
Chantal, I'm sorry but these sound like excuses. I bought a treadmill last December and lost 20 kgs to now, pushing my bmi from 27.5 to the normal range. At your size even just eating normally you should lose weight more quickly.
Girl you really need to truly count your calories. If you gained 2.5 pounds in a week that means you are eating 500-1000 extra calories a day. I’m your height and I know you can’t feel great with 226 extra pounds on your frame. Losing weight is work and you have to work every single day, also don’t think you can eat the treadmill calories back. Just don’t do it.
Honestly eating small amounts of junk is the same as a drug addict just having a small line. This has historically not worked. As a food afflict myself, I did have to eliminate the sources of my binges for a long time and track my calories. It’s not fun but it works. Junk food is highly palatable and not satiating. Dieting while eating these foods will very likely not work. A lot of people want you to succeed… make sure you’re making informed decisions from professionals.
Don't listen to these TikTok videos about what's is/not healthy! Go to a professional to get the help you need, you'll be so glad you did rather than figuring it out on your own!
Chantal, please understand that I’m not one of your haters, ok, BUT, I know EXACTLY where you’re coming from about food, since I was exactly in your position. However, fact is that when you have an enormous amount of weight to lose, you CAN’T do it on your own. Trust me! I was almost 400 pounds, 15 years ago, until I finally got gastric bypass surgery. I’m now 120 pounds, and feel GREAT! I know in your videos that you try to convince us about how you want to take on this journey, but, honestly, you are only trying to convince YOURSELF, to make yourself feel better. I know it’s hard…it’s fu*king hard, and, I STILL struggle daily with food binges, but, I’m telling you, you CAN’T do it on your own. No way. That’s the reality. You need to at least go on injections to help yourself…..something……but, you NEED HELP! You’re not going to be able to do it on your own. I’m sorry.
Diet !?! We are in a health rescue. Diabetes WHO? This is what comes to mind …. I know many people with diabetes and go to huge amazing parties.. travel etc. when at home or out they eat the same way. HEALTHY PERIOD. you don’t do DRUGS anymore why!? Because they aren’t in the house. Do the same with crap foods. ✌🏼
Chantal, YOU CAN NOT do this on your own…your health is suffering terribly and it’s not just about losing weight and counting calories…it’s about following a proper diabetic diet and really understanding your diabetes and how it impacts the rest of your body. What you really need to do is go to the diabetic classes and see a nutritionist….and STOP taking the advice you see on TikTok! Salah also needs to be educated on this as your husband who you want to support you and help keep you accountable. Yes you have tried numerous diets and therapies over the years, as you said since you were 15, but things are much different now …YOU ARE A DIABETIC….you don’t have the luxury at this point with your health to say that you are going to have 80% healthy and 20% junk food because this thought process has already set you up for failure. If you feel the urge to snack try carrot sticks with some light ranch to dip them in, or celery with a few tablespoons of natural peanut butter, or apple wedges with peanut butter. There are healthy snacks that can satisfy your desire for something crunchy, sweet or salty. When you snack on empty calories such as the Doritos or other carbs you aren’t satisfying the hunger, you are only satisfying the craving. Try snacking on nutrient dense foods to help you feel fuller. Because you have BED…you DEFINITELY should be getting diabetic nutritional counseling!!
I cannot imagine being unable to walk for 10 mins without being able to breath. You need to be on that treadmill several times a day to build up your stamina. Otherwise you are going to end up housebound.
Also if you stay indoors doing nothing….not getting out and about and sealing is not helping you, you’re bored and you fill that by eating excessively.
Foodie, you will never succeed in losing the weight and keeping it off unless you go to therapy. You need to dig down and find out why you seek such joy and comfort in junk food, and why you only feel satiated when you are busting full. You are simply wasting your time. Therapy is the key to your health.
Some people with food addiction can't just have a cookie or just a slice of pizza. Like an alcoholic after that 1 drink, they can't stop. They have to take drastic measures like weight loss surgery. Best of luck to you!
Not labeling junk food as bad is not going to change the fact that it is junk and bad for most people. Especially for those who are not attuned to their physical hunger cues and use eating to cope with emotions, boredom, etc., junk food will only make the disordered eating worse. Abstinence for those of us who can't moderate is the only solution, despite being hard. Good luck on your reset.
How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time! How do you lose weight? One pound at a time! Don't make grand pronouncements of losing 200 pounds girl! It can make the goal seem so impossible. Set more realistic goals, perhaps monthly weight loss goals of 5 lbs, it becomes less daunting to set achievable goals. Bah. never mind. You know what you need to do, you just need to believe you can do it, and actually WANT TO GET BETTER!!
Have you thought about using a medication to aid in the helping repair the wound and damage that food is for you. The medication will take the food noise away allowing you to do construction/work on the brain and pathways you have made in the past.
I’ve learned that counting calories is all you have to do if you strictly just want to loose weight, and not worried about the health, but to be honest, when we loose weight no matter how we do it we’ll be healthier anyway. Then we can work on eating healthier things. I eat what I want as long as it’s under 1,700 calories a day and I even count my cheat days, but allow myself 2500 on that one day a week and this seems to be working so far.
Hello Chantal, please make your appointments for the classes that you need to attend. Please, accept that you are worth it. Get the professional help. 😊💕
You wouldn’t give an alcoholic an airplane bottle of vodka and say I can’t give up alcohol but if I only drink this bottle in moderations and make it last all day. That creates the mindset of changing rules in ur mind. Next time it’s well if I drink it all at once it won’t affect me. But the craving will still be there. Same with food. Snacking offline isn’t holding u accountable.
Chantal, sooo many people start and stop health/weight loss journeys. You are not the only one. You are just putting out there the reality of many who struggle with their weight. Including me. I plan out my meal menu 3-4 days at a time. I make a list and 90% of the time I stick to it. But sometimes I just can’t resist those damn Tim Tams! Or Christmas treats. I think the key is consistency over time. You will not be perfect all the time. But consistency effort will pay off over time. You might have a lot of weight to lose, but piece it out. If your goal is 10 lbs, it isn’t as intimidating as 200. As for food, there are so many “eat this, don’t eat that”, and it is confusing. I think the key is if it doesn’t have a label, eat it in abundance. The rest, a little bit. So meats, fish, veggies and fruit. With a bit of dairy and grain products sprinkled in. And when we think of grain products, not commercial cereals and shit. But sourdough, or even the breads that are available locally to you are probably great! But not ALL of it. You can do this. I have been doing this and while it is taking a long time, it is working.
I used to deal with binge eating. When I was diagnosed with diabetes, the one thing I knew was that I could still eat what I wanted ONLY without carbs. I ate all the meat, vegetables, cheese, that I wanted, and eventually started mounjaro and that food noise was all gone. Then/now I have to deal with the psychological desire for food. We had a birthday party yesterday but I couldn’t eat very much and part of me was sad but also pleased that I didn’t/couldn’t eat a bunch and then feel awful both physically and mentally/emotionally.
I wouldn't keep 'bad stuff' in the house or get Salah to hide his. At least in the beginning....if you want a treat.. go out and buy something small just to consume for that moment.... your motivation/will power is high now.. but give it a couple of weeks and you will get pissed off for some reason and just consume the entire box/bag of something that is in the house and then feel like your diet has been ruined and spiral down from there. I agree with a balanced approach (eventually) but I think in the first few months you really need to limit the 'bad' food. Your body is kind of going through sugar/junk food withdrawal in the early stages and will try everything it can to get you to eat it copious amounts of it. The biggest thing to start off with is to stop the binges & it is going to be mega hard/impossible to do this if you have junk in the house. That's where I think a GLP1 would be really helpful to you. Sure you need to look inward and do a lot of work on yourself emotionally. But you can do this and build up healthy habits whilst on one. There is no rush to get off it once you are at goal... you could stay on it for a long time trying to work out your issues.
Also I think your idea of What healthy is, is way off from the actually reality of it. Anyone can come up with what THEY think is healthy, but realistically You know you have a problem, but you refuse to get actual help with it, you talk so much about it, have for years and have gotten no where.... and this isn't Obvious to you YET??, That you obviously can't Do this on your own. Your idea of being realistic isn't realistic at ALL. You will just keep going in this cycle over and over... until it's too late or you can't fix it. You think you can do this on your own, but yet your way of thinking isn't realistic in any way... esp not if you want to succeed and make any kind of weight loss progress. Come up with any and all things that you can think of to justify it, but it won't do any good.. unfortunately. Your way to lax on yourself with food.. that's the issue.
"Do or do not; there is no try". (Yoda) I have my own battles...and I have to use that thought as a mantra. I understand how fast "slipping" can get out of hand. I'm proud of you for catching yourself at this point and you should be proud of that as well. Change is a process. 💞
"A Winner Is Someone Who Gets Up... Even When He Can't." That simple phrase has helped me through some extremely difficult times. I hope it will help you as well, for there will be moments when you think you absolutely can't deny yourself that fast food craving. Believe in yourself... you can. Each step forward brings you closer to your dream of travel and exploration. Nothing worth having is easy. You can do this, one day, one hour, one minute at a time.
You should seriously consider getting a nutritionist especially for your type 2 diabetes. The sodium alone is bad for your heart especially for a diabetic. You have such a beautiful ocean right in front of you why not switch it up and walk at home in the morning and walk the beach ? obviously not when it’s peak of the heat. The junk food of any kind is full of calories sugars and carbs. Those need to be eliminated. Also eating junk food and regular carbs are so bad for you. Complex carbohydrates are the healthiest and best.
🤗 Do what you can accept today. For me, I had to accept I needed help & got surgery. Also, I didn’t exercise, I was carrying 200 extra pounds on my small frame like you. Moving hurt. More than I was willing to admit. Once I lost, I could finally move. And I understand now why exercise was sooook hard for me. Be gentle with u. But be honest 😘
Your intuition tells you carbs are not all bad, eating less carbs is realistic, 100 calorie cookies are nothing. This is your subconscious signaling you to not give up the only thing making you happy.
I FEEL YOU! No matter what I eat, some expert tells me to stop eating it. One Doctor tells me to eat rice only, then I went to another Doctor and he told me I could absolutely eat no rice. I guess I should eat nothing. Sheesh. Experts need to get on the same page.
You do you but please measure and track your food in an app that will give you a total at the end of the day. Notate what you ate every meal no matter if it was just 1 cookie or you had a large meal. You should continue eating what you like. Guessing how much rice or any food you eat is hard for anyone. At the end of the day see how many calories you ate. Ask yourself is this higher than you expected or what you guessed. I have lost close to 45 lbs by recording everything I ate or drink. I am still obese. My problem I was consuming 24+ gram of sugar (my allowed amount) just in the morning with coffee and a bagel. I only found this out by keeping my food journal. I still go over in sodium 50% of the time but know my limitations on anything with sugar now. If I eat out at a restaurant I take a picture before I start eating. I then google online the nutritional value of what I ate if the food does not show up on my app.
I'm glad not to be alone in what I consider my "failures" (when I gain back what I lost , which has been a constant this past 4 years , this year not coming down from 99kgs ) , helps my depression that I'm not the only one who's weight loss journey is not perfect, proud of you for never giving up and well done on your effort ,I know it's hard ❤
Lean Poultry, Fish with vegetables. 30 min exercise a day It’s unfortunate it’s pure willpower you can do it. It’s just having the professional medical support you need.
If nickacado avocado did it you can do it stay away from the sodium I eat but no salt because it's water weight dats what makes us more heavier once you get da sodium out of ya food it's better and diet soda out get zero sugar soda I stay away from dark sodas ginger ale or sprite nd not a big glass just a small cup
I do calorie deficiency and eating whole foods you can eat more veggies and get full and I've lost 45 lbs I think it works for alot of ppl idk if you've tried it or not
I’m sure you’d be eligible for the weight loss drug because you have diabetes. Take advantage of it, insurance will cover it. It suppresses your appetite also so it’s a win, win! Good luck you got this. I understand and I support you 🙏🏻🍀💖
Hi Chantal 🤗❣️ I recognize that you’re trying & this is good enough for me. I know the struggle, believe me. OMGosh I remember when you did the potato diet lol 😂 that was so long ago! I love ya girly❤
I still would love if you joined an online support group for binge eaters. I still miss the old one I used to use. I had been a raw vegan for 3-4 years and after restriction, everybody binges for years after something like that (JUST like Nik!!) And that forum was a place where we all posted journal entries daily and focused on not shaming yourself so that way you don't give up. The self shaming is really what puts us back into a de@th spiral. Idk where a place like that would be anymore. Highly doubt the old one from 12 years ago would be active...hmmmm.. I just checked everywhere for it and it looks like it's gone. It's a shame because it was highly active with, like, 30 users posting a day. Only equivalent would be reddit... but really, a place like that would really help you. It's kind of what your channel is anyways, but you're talking only to people with the same disorder who get your ever emotion in that ordeal
Restart COMMENCED! You can do this! Sugar and food addiction is THE hardest to break. Carb cycling will be your best friend and it us a great way to limit yourself and an easy way to float in to a lifestyle change. Love you bunches!
This is the first time I’ve ever related to something you’ve said. I’m 200lbs and 6ft I’m in a cycle of seditary and eating everything I want. My muscle and stamina is so low. It hurts to move. Exercising for short amounts but often throughout the day WILL fix this. I’ve done it before and looks like we both need to do it again
Good to hear you're getting back to diet/exercise! I totally agree with you about the fad diets, especially ones that completely eliminate entire macronutrient groups (zero carb, for example). You made a number of good points in this video, but something your thought process on weight loss overlooks is that you are really in a special category due to your multiple health issues. A big step forward in looking after your health in a realistic way would be reaching out for help with your food intake from your diabetes educator or a registered dietitian who has your full health history in front of her/him so that they can work with you to plan a way of eating that is healthy and specifically tailored to you. By that, I don't mean just your medical issues, but also your desire to repair your relationship with food, and make sustainable changes, including being able to incorporate your favourite foods into your diet. I wish you the best, in any case. It's a very hard, very long road to lose 2/3 of your body weight, and especially with no professional guidance to speak of. ❤
I’m totally behind you and I believe in you. Makes so much sense what you’re saying. Food does make us happy on some level. And that’s ok in my opinion. I think you’re doing great on working on yourself; your body, your thinking, your relationship with food! Eating less (of the “less healthy” foods) and even more importantly making filling healthier versions of what you like is great. Your treadmill sessions are great for your mental health too! I’ll have to try that guava sometime.
I can't not do dat carb or count calories it will drive you crazy I try that wit a nutritionist nd I got up to 330lbs when I do it my self my way I'm 312lbs
Great job Chantal. ❤️💪💪💪 Keep up the awesome work. You’re doing awesome. Before you know it, you’ll be doing 3, 10 minutes a day! I believe in you 💯💯💯. 🙂❤️ Gorgeous view Masha’Allah. 🤲🙏🏼 I agree with you about the food. 80% healthy, 20% junk is a great balance. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼💯💯💯 ❤️❤️❤️
Girl us real viewers who love you and are honest dont get irritated at your failures. Anyone who says that they ever decided to lose weight, eat healthier, quit drugs, quit drinking, quit smoking and did it on the first try without failing multiple times is simply a COMPLETE LYING HATER JUST LOOKING FOR AMMO TO USE TO MAKE THEM FEEL BETTER FOR THEIR OWN FAILURES!!! You are trying and thats what matters, how long it takes dont, u will get their i truely believe it....love u girl, u got this❤💪

It is sad to watch-but keeps me curious.

NO! NOT 2 CUPS OF RICE. 1/2 a cup PER DAY for diabetic! This should be posted on your forehead with sharpie!!!
Not labeling junk food as bad is not going to change the fact that it is junk and bad for most people. Especially for those who are not attuned to their physical hunger cues and use eating to cope with emotions, boredom, etc., junk food will only make the disordered eating worse.
Don’t call it a diet call it a lifestyle change
Return to street scale ⚖️ please
I was 390 ilbs down to 216 ilbs i eat 500 calories each meal lots of protein and low carb an no snacking and weigh your food it really helps
🤗
Do what you can accept today.
Damn another restart 😂😂😂 I believe in you this time…. Again
How do u get on during Ramadhan?
It's always been 80 percent diet and 20 percent movement for me.
Use the treadmill.
Get yourself a personal trainer 💪❤
Portion control
If nickacado avocado did it you can do it stay away from the sodium I eat but no salt because it's water weight dats what makes us more heavier once you get da sodium out of ya food it's better and diet soda out get zero sugar soda I stay away from dark sodas ginger ale or sprite nd not a big glass just a small cup
Chantal, everyone starts somewhere. You can do this. I am on a weight loss journey and have stumbled before. No one is perfect. I am proud of you
You showed up! You plugged the treadmill in. Great job!
I encourage you to keep going.
I do calorie deficiency and eating whole foods you can eat more veggies and get full and I've lost 45 lbs I think it works for alot of ppl idk if you've tried it or not
Girl, I'm trying right along with you. It sucks because I love eating. Hang in there. I'm trying with a treadmill too.
I’m sure you’d be eligible for the weight loss drug because you have diabetes. Take advantage of it, insurance will cover it. It suppresses your appetite also so it’s a win, win! Good luck you got this. I understand and I support you 🙏🏻🍀💖
Stop eating so much broccoli!
Hi Chantal 🤗❣️ I recognize that you’re trying & this is good enough for me. I know the struggle, believe me. OMGosh I remember when you did the potato diet lol 😂 that was so long ago!
I love ya girly❤
Yas queen 👑👑👑👑 u can do it ❤️❤️❤️
I still would love if you joined an online support group for binge eaters.

Your progress on the treadmill is great.
Just keep trying.
Nothing feels better than loosing weight. You can do it. 🎉
You are right, balance is the key to eating. Do what works for you ! Slow and steady is the way. You can do this ! 😊
Put on music when you work out puts a person in the mood.real bad time to start a diet with the holidays upon us.
Restart COMMENCED! You can do this! Sugar and food addiction is THE hardest to break. Carb cycling will be your best friend and it us a great way to limit yourself and an easy way to float in to a lifestyle change. Love you bunches!
I really hope you can do it
Beauty bite ❤️🔥
You got this.
