I remember this album ''If You Cant Stand The Heat'' being slated back in the day, but IMO this was one of the very best Quo albums, They tried to stretch their sound and loved loved the brass sections and Female backing
That song really rocks doesn't it ,nice title Long Legged Linda very catchy.Glideing round the tables with wanderers natural ease serving 2 star brandy is the body you have to see .What a line poetry.
Not all of us ... Been a huge Quo fan in the States for years. I think sometimes I was born on the wrong side of the Atlantic. Big Thin Lizzy and Gary Moore fan as well. I hope I can catch the Quo live one day.
Great clip - great song, from the masters of high energy rock 'n' roll. Because it's mimed to the recorded sound track, Rossi can afford to chew, as his vocals are done ahead of time! Rather less well known Quo song, perhaps because of the 'orchestral' support. But one of the great rock classics.
Superb from the Quo. I've not heard this one before! The opening 3 seconds on this video is from 'What's Going On' by Taste, whom Quo have admitted their admiration for the late, great Rory Gallagher. Great stuff!
They didnt want to do the cover albums, they were forced into them by management and Record Companies. They should have had the guts to say No just like they did in 1969 when they changed their style to the Rock/Blues there famous for
I was disappointed when I bought the album , this was the last Quo Album I bought . by then long were the days good albums like on the level , Hello Piledriver , Blue for you and all other s, Rockin all over the world was the start of the decline .
@rockerbox1973 Long legged Linda was status quo's bearded days. Now that Rossi has got short hair he should grow a very long beard to replace his ponytail just like the 2 front men in ZZ Top. lol
i sed to my dad did francis take cocaine in the 70's and he said yes and he also sed that part of his nose fell off in the shower one day due to the cocaine i cound'nt belive!!
the women on the video at 3:20, I think the one on the right with the purple shirt is Gillie Coghlan, at 3:29 right at the end of the video, John throws the drum sticks away to the audience
Frankly, 3 albums of covers superior to the originals is not bad. On the other hand, with so few albums, they needed more original content. If The Beatles can do a brand-new album over a weekend, Status Quo should have been able to throw out 3 albums of covers AND an album of hardened originals a year without breaking into a sweat.
Yes I have seen the Ol Rag Blues vid. But I did say No birds on a Quo SONG not no birds in a Quo vid!! You can have as many as ya want in the vid but keep 'em off the records. Not being sexist of course!!
I know a lot of quo fans don't rate this album (because of pip Williams ) I think its a cool album quo go American so what! they did worse. why do quo fans allways slate of never too late that too rocks( you are all shady ladies)
Nick Arrowsmith Not all Quo fans are the same types, obviously.. Personally I like Shady Lady, Never Too Late, Juniors Wailing and others.. Maybe this was Quos attempt to get well known across the pond... but for whatever reason it never really took off for them? On their On The Level Album right before Bye Bye Johnny you can hear them messing about saying "Sheriffs calling". Not sure if they ever bothered doing any gigs or Festivals in the USA like the Stones did Altamont in 69..Maybe if they had played out there then that would of helped their notoriety no end I would of thought.. but 120 Million albums sold worldwide is hardly bad going.. I am not too keen on this one either but everyone has off days.. I get the feeling this one was rushed through due to a personal encounter involving one of the group?
Think this was a last attempt to break America. It had that over produced rock sound that the yanks like. One of only 3 or 4 decent tracks on the album.
killer song by the ultimate Quo line up.
nothing comes close to these 4 guys.
there is 5 of them there
@@codyburns2660 Yeah, Andy Bown was with them since 1976!
in fact, Andrew Bown is the composer!
comes close? They are nowhere near the old Heep
If you don't feel well do not take any medecine, just a pill of Status Quo and suddenly you will feel so much better. Thanks lads!
Totally agree.
If I'm feeling down and sad I'll put on some QUO and I feel much better.
still love these guys after all the years of listening to crap on the radio.
I remember this album ''If You Cant Stand The Heat'' being slated back in the day, but IMO this was one of the very best Quo albums, They tried to stretch their sound and loved loved the brass sections and Female backing
I slated it when I first heard it too and that was just the previous decade.
I like this & the album & you
gotta love Again & Again!
I like it , I think it's a catch tune and I often find myself singing along .. the good old days.
fantastic song from THE band ! thanks for posting :)
That song really rocks doesn't it ,nice title Long Legged Linda very catchy.Glideing round the tables with wanderers natural ease serving 2 star brandy is the body you have to see .What a line poetry.
Even Coghlan is smiling!
Yup, noticed that too. He really seemed to be enjoying himself. And great drumming.
Not all of us ...
Been a huge Quo fan in the States for years. I think sometimes I was born on the wrong side of the Atlantic. Big Thin Lizzy and Gary Moore fan as well. I hope I can catch the Quo live one day.
Two of my best bands as well
great!
one of the best quo songs
one of my favourite quo songs
Great clip - great song, from the masters of high energy rock 'n' roll. Because it's mimed to the recorded sound track, Rossi can afford to chew, as his vocals are done ahead of time! Rather less well known Quo song, perhaps because of the 'orchestral' support. But one of the great rock classics.
excellent clip! vintage stuff nice one
Great song!!
Yikes frame and Rick are definitely on the dirty salt…. I love them….
how can you tell
........génial, c'est super bon, bravo !!!!
1oo% the best for ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
class act, great vid!!!!!!
Oh yes WOW what a great song love it brilliant Rick parfitt RIP
Not the greatest song from the best ever Quo line up but much better song than most of today's Quo line up has done .
I beg to differ. This song rocks like a mother!!
its actually from one of Andy Bowns solo albums, cant remember which on though.
Superb from the Quo. I've not heard this one before! The opening 3 seconds on this video is from 'What's Going On' by Taste, whom Quo have admitted their admiration for the late, great Rory Gallagher. Great stuff!
EHH
See Power Chords and some finess work! Long Live QUO!!
Never mind Rossi's mad chewing, what about some genuine smiles from Coghlan from 1:07 to 1:12 - fantastic!
what’s chewing
Rock is in full Rick mode there!
Статус кво рок 🎸 рольщики навсегда здорово 👍
A great song written while on tour trying - in the end unsuccessfully - to crack America. At least Rick was having fun in bars while doing so!
Runs like a steamroller! The Hats - like the Beatles - energy's the same!?
My song 😂 thats what I said as a kid just bc they saying my name
Why are people bellyaching about them on coke, all the bands we're on it back then, and still are today it's just hidden
Envy.
They didnt want to do the cover albums, they were forced into them by management and Record Companies. They should have had the guts to say No just like they did in 1969 when they changed their style to the Rock/Blues there famous for
This song should be called long legged Beverley anita gilbert love you to bits my dear 😊 beautiful friend 😢
This is the beard period.
Шикарная вещь !
One of the few decent songs on a poor album.
Good to see John smiling.
Great Video, shame most of the album wasn't as good as this.
fantastic song even better than andy bowns original version from his solo album, that had a few still to come quo songs
The drummer looks so enthused around 2:30-2:45 lol
I was disappointed when I bought the album , this was the last Quo Album I bought . by then long were the days good albums like on the level , Hello Piledriver , Blue for you and all other s, Rockin all over the world was the start of the decline .
Best quo album by far
@nwleeuw As much as I love mr Parfitt, I must say it's thanks to Andy Bown, who wrote the song. It's still kicking some serious butt though!
Yep, saw Andy doing this live with his band, early 70s
@rockerbox1973 Long legged Linda was status quo's bearded days. Now that Rossi has got short hair he should grow a very long beard to replace his ponytail just like the 2 front men in ZZ Top. lol
John was fairly cool on drums
i sed to my dad did francis take cocaine in the 70's and he said yes and he also sed that part of his nose fell off in the shower one day due to the cocaine i cound'nt belive!!
It s me☝️🥳🎸
QUO OH HO HO HO🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
@GloucesterAdam correct!
I'd be surprised if the keyboardist used that minimoog more than once per gig.
I can hardly hear any keys on this recording. On the record the Hammond is very prominent.
Ik ben een quo fan,..dit nummer komt dan ook van een prut op, -1
coglan pure quo
NO no no. Birds on a Quo song!! That's not right!
Your dad was damn right.
the women on the video at 3:20, I think the one on the right with the purple shirt is Gillie Coghlan, at 3:29 right at the end of the video, John throws the drum sticks away to the audience
Danke UA-cam.
ps Sorry bout the Love Love bit, I am wasted LMAO
This video was broadcasted by Bayerischer Rundfunk, a "Division of ARD - Das Erste".
When was it broadcasted??
rossi was the 3rd best singer in quo rick 1st, alan 2nd

The start of the end for Quo. Too many pop songs, keyboards dominating the production and some very dubious songwriting credits.
Yes I have seen the Ol Rag Blues vid. But I did say No birds on a Quo SONG not no birds in a Quo vid!! You can have as many as ya want in the vid but keep 'em off the records. Not being sexist of course!!

was a good record, but like you said very amaerican sound
Nick Arrowsmith Not all Quo fans are the same types, obviously.. Personally I like Shady Lady, Never Too Late, Juniors Wailing and others.. bye the bye who are those girls?!
The drugs had not kicked in at this point, ie the happy band.
shame sound is not as good as 4500x but that was the old days....
well who doesn't?
Without the brass and keys would have been ok
Scruffy band need to get a shave and get there hair cut, but they were the Best years shame it came to a stop in 84,
cocaine quo,mmm ,mmm
Good enough video, the band look really cool. Shame about the song.
Andrew Bown's solo version is better, IMVHO.
sounds like some shit game show theme tune
Think this was a last attempt to break America. It had that over produced rock sound that the yanks like.
One of only 3 or 4 decent tracks on the album.
organ is too much
