Here's what I did for my emergency alert:
I have a list of trusted people that will become mods in case of emergency. That way people aren't overwhelmed by the amount of mods in chat during regular operation. After that I make them VIPs again which will remove the mod status.
In a second step i have a list of all new first time chat messages with a big ban button.
And my lockdown mode is enabled using one of those big red buttons. It has wifi and can work from anywhere, not just my desk.
The rest is basically the same.
When I saw the title I immediately thought
" Doesn't he Know Streamerbot has an import for it's users to cover them ?"

Like changing your voice filter on in game VoIP, or playing a song over when mic is toggled come so other people can hear it when you’re “speaking?”

I got hate raided earlier this month and as such a small channel I had no idea what to so. Hopefully I can use this to beef up security if it every happens again! Is there any tips for also beefing up discord security? That also got hit hard

For the Twitch Message (/followers 5) setting, do I need to use BOT or Broadcaster? I'm sure with out having a bot account, I should just use Broadcaster, but I just want to double check.
Now this is happening on youtube on a channel called WhatsUp where he streams and these like tinder bots kept spamming emojis and had the link in their name and it happened on his stream
I have been targeted by someone making 1 or 3 accounts and constantly self promoting random channels 3-4 times in the last two weeks. Thanks for the video it worked a charm when they popped in again the other day, I just gotta get used to the quick keys 👍

I just have an incogneto more button. clear chat, emote only change to face cam and then I tell a story. no one would know what was going on.. Never had a single issue.
My other friends who announce that that's whats going on get them all the time.
I don't even have do's and dont's in my rules so there is not ammo for the haters to feed off. they have no idea what buttons will issue a ban.
they would have to watch me for a month to find out.

I wish it would work at me. But all the commands dont work. :( I did it by myself some days ago and sometimes when I have tested, one or sometimes two sub-actions were working. Not I did it completly like you and nothing happened. Sometimes the twitch message works but not always. :( A delay didnt help.

i made a panic button following this guide and it works! ...but almost everything else broke :(
probably a coincidence? i have un-installed and re-installed everything. i've looked over every action and sub action in detail. i can't see what's wrong. my streamer bot fueled fancy channel point redeems don't work anymore. the sub actions work fine when tested but not as a whole. it's almost like the delay sub action doesn't work right because if i spam the keybind, for a split second (one time and not constantly) i can see something pop up in the audio mixer
seems like the issue was with having actions set to concurrent, but i have no idea why

I appreciate the solution-oriented mindset, this would be a lot more effective if it was something like a preset solution streamers could download and put in a folder in OBS or something like that, and if it was pushed out by twitch themselves. I reckon the person that did it would make a hefty sum of money in donations for it, and be deserving of it as well.

I'm not a streamer or spammer, but wouldn't this make you a bigger target? A group of people could just keep going for the thrill of shutting down a entire chat.
Probably. I personally have never worried too much about hate raids. You roll with the punches and move on with life.
But the fact is there are people who are fed up and want more tools at their disposal. So I still think its a good idea to put the resources out there for the people that would feel safer with them.
Remember that mods (if any are present) can also instantly ban small groups. A raid can be as large as over 1K bots or people, and in that event, this safety mode panic button is a perfect feature for anyone who is looking to protect their stream and their community. This wouldn't make you a big target at all.

People need to develop a tougher layer of skin if they are gonna be on the internet. Raiding has been a part of internet culture since the 90's and a bunch of bowtie wearing Discord groomers aren't going to stop it
The problem isn't that it hurts feelings. The problem is that it interrupts the stream and if you don't act on hateful messages in chat you might risk getting banned.
the problem with hate raids isnt having thicker skin its that streamers get reported and banned for other people's hateful shit. if you don't act on any of them and don't do anything about them you are held liable. it doesn't have anything to do with people being a snowflake or w/e - and to be fair, a lot of the people going around doing hateful shit like this purely because someone exists in a way they don't like is far more snowflake-y than the person just existing.

Two things can be true. Yes, you need to have tough skin to be in the line of work.
It also doesn't hurt to protect yourself or your community. It's simple and straightforward, so why not!
