The wisdom of The Money Line, connecting the Ego Center to the Throat Center, is one of HEALTHY willpower and HEALTHY hierarchy. That, when you are the steward of money and impact from alignment with who you truly are, you can bring wealth to yourself AND all those around you.
Either Manifestors or Generators can have this channel defined.
If you have Channel 21 45 defined in your chart OR if you have either Gate 21 or Gate 45, there is a value in you being in control of situations in your life such that everyone will thrive around you (Gate 21) or a value in you being at the top of a hierarchy and helping to guide the future health and wealth of your communities, trusting your ability to lead and guide energy in the best possible way (Gate 45).
The is a very "traditional" leadership channel, taking control and leading from the top of a hierarchy, utilizing your willpower to drive projects into manifestation.
BUT it's not the watered down idea of willpower that society talks about. It's not forcing your way through life with coffee, energy drinks, and exhaustion. Willpower is an energetic intelligence that turns on and off. And when it's on, Channel 21 45 invites you to ride that wave. And when it's off, it invites you to not force anything and wait until it's back on.
And, with Channel 21 45 defined, your natural place is in a leadership position, guiding those around you. And when you're in control, it's better for everyone. And trust yourself to lead in a way that is supportive, not oppressive. Or to notice the parts of you that need healing around that.
If you don't have Channel 21 45 defined (or either gate), it will still be temporarily defined by planets and others' auras here and there, so understanding the beautiful wisdom it has to share - modeling the rising and falling hierarchies that arise in nature - can also have a great impact on you.

Unreal!! I’m a pure gen 3/5 and I have 21 defined. Man. That pushing leads no where and you are right about the control thing but the trick is the intention behind that. I have always had a hard time working for someone else and have been working on my own business. Money has always been a challenge!! Thank you for this video.

I have an open ego with only the 41 alone gate. I’m a 5/1 emotional manifestor. My son and grandson have a completely open ego. The will power to get going is low for us 😢
Having an Open Ego is awesome when you align to it! What centers do you have defined? The open ego means your willpower is inconsistent and not always available. I'm curious what motor center you have defined?
When you follow the Manifestor Spark to initiate the correct things for you, you should always have just enough willpower. Are you initiating and informing?

Great video! I have an MG energy type with channel 21-45 defined. Years ago, I left my corporate career with plans to "own and manage the land" but the leap was too big for me at the time (something you talked about in another video) so my success wasn't sustainable. I re-entered employment as a consultant, which offered some stability + some autonomy. Now, I'm ready to make the most of this channel again and it feels like the next logical step as opposed to huge leap of faith it felt like in the past.

thanks for sharing! It's a practice and an evolution, of letting go of old mental patterns that block from living our designs. And of letting go of nervous system protection patterns that we created to keep ourselves safe when it wasn't safe to be fully expressed in our designs. Patience and gentleness allows for these patterns to unwind so you can lean more into your natural design. You're doing great!! It all starts with Awareness.

A little advice?
Hey Constanze! Their willpower is the one thing they can count on ... that is consistent within them. If they only have the Throat and Ego defined, then they both must have Channel 21-45 as the only defined channel in their chart. So it's even more important for them to lean into this channel. Without talking to them and understanding what protection patterns are unique in their nervous systems, general advice would be to only follow the pull/spark of the Manifestor to the environments where they belong (Open G). Most important decision for them will be to get in the right environments. And then to initiate and inform based on their willpower-driven spark. Informing before taking control ... to remove resistance and create ease by being in control of the situation. Without talking to them, I think that's the best I can do! Hope that helps.

I have the gate 21 defined in my conscious Earth and my brother has gate 45 defined in his design Moon and conscious Venus. We do not get along at all. I often call him a tyrant to his face lol

In the Gene Keys (are you familiar?), that means he has the 45th Gene Key in his Attraction Sphere AND IQ Sphere. And you have 21 in your Evolution Sphere. 21 is a big part of how your purpose will naturally move through you. And 45 is a big part of how your brother will attract the relationships into his life he needs to deepen his core stability.
Curious, how will you use the info in this video to shift that relationship in positive ways? Do you see any possibilities?
21-45 is one of the most challenging electromagnetic channels (meaning when one person has one gate and the other has the other) but when you can relate with awareness and start to each play your part, magic can happen!

What happens if you don't have this line. I'm a 1/3 emotional manifestor RAX of the unexpected with the defined channels 19-49, 28-38 and 35-36....ah I see with gate 49 I have to learn to accept I cannot completely depend on myself even if I wanted to without this money line gate. Oh the struggle.
If you don't have this line, than this energy isn't consistent within you. It's not a bad thing or a good thing. All chart configurations have the potential to create abundance and money in their life, just in different ways. If you don't have this channel, it means that there weren't any planets in these gates at the moment of your birth or the moment 88 days before. Sometimes, planets will enter these gates and temporarily activate them in your chart as they move through the sky so you'll sometimes get a taste of this channel. It just isn't consistent within you. So, it's important to lean into what is defined in your chart and live according to that as much as you can. Then abundance will come in exchange for you operating in your design and with your natural gifts and talents.
Good awareness about Gate 49. Check out the videos on the circuit groups on this channel. I think they may help you too!
Re: struggle. haha, i get it! I have 28-38 too. Remember it's a beautiful struggle, here to support you. I am more and more able to surrender into the gift of being someone who naturally fights up against the odds, which is the only reason I "struggle" - and to surrender into the gift of that.

As a projector with the 45 gate, does this mean I also make money best by working for myself?
What planet is activating your 45? Is your Throat defined or open?
In general, the 45th gate without the 21st represents the voice of the community, being looked to for the final say on things. Typically, people with this gate don't like to get their hands dirty and love to have other people working for them, running their business or helping to manage personal affairs.
And typically the 45 governs from the top of a heirarchy in a traditional way and thrives when having a 21 to help manage the day-to-day people management while they guide the vision.
I'd say it's less important for a 45 to work for themselves than a 21-45. It's that consistent energy from the Ego to Throat of the 21-45 that really drives the need to not be managed. Yet, if you work for a company, it's likely best that you're in a management/visionary/creative position where you're not micro-managed and are able to guide your area of the company.
Always lots of subtlety though. What's your lived experience with this?

Yes, this applies to MGs that have the channel 21-45 defined in their chart. Or if you have Gate 21 or Gate 45 defined, then you have that aspect of the wisdom of the channel defined and consistent within you. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Hello, Orion. Your video clarified for me the import of the Money Line- which I have in my chart. My daughter spoke to me about your video and has been guiding and instructing me through the labyrinth of Human Design. I have made a ton of money for lots of people, but not for myself, which is the subject of my inquiry: how can I “respond” (strategy) so I can be a Leader ( invariably end up there), and in control- though I am inclined to delegate and let others shine and use their gifts and talents. In short, I’m 64, and need to change this pattern, but am baffled. What to do, exactly???
Thanks. Only just discovered Human Design and it's spooky accurate for me so far. I'm a 6/3 Manifesting Generator, and my money line is connected but red on the 45 side (Jupiter 1st line) and black on the 21 side (Earth 6th line) and the red/black meet in the middle of the connecting line between throat and heart (both defined). I just wish I knew what the heck that meant ! Is there any way for you to clarify that in a few short words ? I'd really appreciate that.
This means that Gate 45 was activated by neutrinos from Jupiter at the moment 88 days before your birth (left column of your chart with red gate numbers) and Gate 21 was activated by the Earth at the moment of your birth (right column of your chart with black gate numbers.)
The gates defined 88 days before your birth are more connected to your Unconscious / Design / Body. The wisdom beneath conscious awareness. Wisdom you may be unaware of. While the gates defined at the time of your birth are more connected to your Conscious mind / personality / ego so you're more likely to be aware of them.

Great question! It works in the same way for manifesting generators and manifestors. The difference is that MG's have a Sacral Response. So, to decide which opportunities are the correct ones to step into control and leadership, they will wait to respond and wait for a Sacral Yes. And THEN inform people they are going to take control and do so.
For manifestors, there's no waiting. Once they feel the spark or pull to take control and leadership of a situation, they're designed to inform and initiate right away.

Being pulled towards Human Design and Astrology in a big way and your videos are helpful so... thanks! I'm a pure Generator and only have gate 35 active in my throat center. Heart center is defined with a Design 40-37 channel but I have no gates for either of the 21-45 channel. Money has been a struggle a while now. I see in your comments about modeling the rising and fallings of heirarchies in nature would be helpful, but are there other channels that help explain or bring propserity and wealth for those (living their design!) that do not have the 21-45?

... especially the first one. The Money Line is just the name of 21-45. It doesn't mean that people with this channel are better at making money. That's just their way of making money. All designs have the equal ability to make money.
The key factor is living more and more fully in alignment with your design and building your capacity to let it guide you outside the known comfort zone.
I don't have 21-45 and have watched my abundance increase year over year as I practice following my design more and more.

Wow seeing this video ...I looked at the likes its at 222. It figures its a manifestor and generator channel..I am a Reflector BUT my 70% sun gate is 45!!!!! what is my problem~
Hi Orion! I'm a projector but I also resonate with a manifestor since I'm life path 1, the path of leadership. I definitely want to be independent and find it hard working under someone as Ive never met someone who truly gets what I'm about. Also as a projector I feel like I rarely have any energy. Therefore the regular 9 to 5 doesn't work for me. I want to be an entrepreneur. Do you think it is normal to have qualities of 2 design types?

And can you let me know what other channels you have defined in your chart (fully colored in and not white channels) ?
That will help me answer your question about resonating with multiple types. There isn't really a normal. The channels play a big part in this. For example, I'm a Manifesting Generator but have 3 Projector Channels and there are many situations in my life where I resonate with needing to wait for the invitation.

I have chanel 21, and i feel very challenged by leadership, i feel too scatterbrained to lead others and manage projects even in the small scale that i do. Would having a gate 45 as a partner help focus that?
Can you share what other gates you have defined? And what centers you have defined vs. open? That's important information to have before answering.

Projectors would never have 21-45 defined because that would energetically make them a Manifestor. They could either have Gate 21 or Gate 45 defined. With that said, every Projector and every human has the capacity to create a lot of money and abundance. And can do so with ease when following their design and defined channels.
It just so happens that 21-45 is called “the money line”. 54-32 is a projector channel that is very connected to the material plane too.

You don’t need to learn everything in your chart! I would recommend focusing on applying your Type, strategy, and authority first.

I have the center of gate 45 defined, but the line undefined. The ego center is undefined but the line from gate 21 is defined.

If I understand that correctly, you have the Throat defined but Gate 45 is not defined. And you have the Ego center undefined with Gate 21 defined. That means that Gate 21 is a dormant gate, sometimes active and sometimes not, depending on where the planets are at any given moment and/or who you're around - and when the planets/others are temporarily defining your Ego Center. It means that the gifts and talents inherent to Gate 21, as described in the video are natural to you. Although fluctuating, when the Ego Center is defined, Gate 21 will feel familiar.
While Gate 45 is not a natural gift and talent for you. Did that make sense? Great question!
