REVIEW: New Cannondale Scalpel

- The new Scalpel is a 100mm 29er cross country racing machine with clearance for two large water bottles inside the main frame. Cannondale have moved away from the single-pivot suspension system in favour of a Four-Bar system with the introduction of a flex zone on the chainstays now patented as FlexPivot. The shock is driven by a small link which is mounted to the seat tube. The leverage ratio is more progressive - ie: as the bike moves deeper into its travel the suspension becomes harder, offering more support. This also means the bike will be more sensitive on small bumps, and offer better grip throughout the travel. In this video, we explain all the tech and what it does on the trail.

Great technical review!
In your video you talked about Cannondale Racing testing the new bike and they felt like it was slower even though their times were faster. Do you have that reference of CFR giving that feedback?
I like the OLD Shocking Green COLORS !!!! of Last Years
nice vid 💪🏻. where these trails ?
Great review. Thankyou. Any thoughts on the 120 version? A lot of folks like to put a sc34 120 or 110 up front to Downcountry their xc bikes to increase the stiffness and a bit more travel. My question is, how capable is the 100 lefty? Are they as stiff as a sc34?
Cheers bru. Lefty is an xc fork. Super capable for XC. The 120mm Scalpel will be an interesting bike for sure.
Uhhh
Reach is still much too short--pass!
Never got from the shop I didn't make modifications to. That's an easy, normal stem/h-bar mod. Wouldn't you say?
