    Im begging you, please use this to simulate hair physics and make a tutorial on it.

    Amazing. Thank you for the tutorial especially the mountain climber one 👍. I hope for you to reach 100K subscribers by the end of this year 😀

    I'm having trouble with the texture part. is there any video where you explain this further?

    does that addon solve the problem of stretched texture because of the rim in solidify?

    Hi there, I've just downloaded this - working really nicely but I'm struggling to get the same effect as you achieved at 2:08 in this video with the ropes hooked to an object (the opes hooked to pylon). I've tried hooking vertex points to new object and vertex parenting but I can't seem to get it. Any tips? Thanks

      I second that! Great seeing someone else pointing this one out... The live nature to this simulation tool is rather key for a variety of things I do

    Does it have chains to. That would make it double usefull or can you customize the mese. To look like chains. Am trying to make a pirate ship and for how many ropes there are. I can even make one rope even with the tutorels so this could help alot . also the ship needs chains for the anchor.

      Sorry the addon does not have chains. You could use a chain model and use a surface deform to transfer the movement of the rope to the chains. The problem with simulating chains that way is that it will bend the single parts of the chain that are stiff too. You probably get the most realistic chain simulation with rigid body like in this tutorial here: m.ua-cam.com/video/nHVYYMG3QVY/v-deo.html&pp=ygUSQmxlbmRlciBndXJ1IGNoYWlu

    How would you go about parenting two different weight areas of the rope to two different objects? I went through your rope tutorial and thank you very much for that - im trying to combine both techniques but its also my first time using weight paint for this... Any advice please?

      Assign two different parts of the mesh to the weight group. Then just select the first area in the edit mode, hit CTRL H, and hook it to a new empty. Repeat this for the second area. Make sure the two hook modifiers are below the cloth sim modifier. Now the two empties control the different areas of the rope.

    When applying self collisions my ropes seem to want to simply float away? Any idea what could be causing that?

    • @cinematiccookie
      @cinematiccookie  Рік тому +2

      That usually happens when the objects in the scenes are too small. Blender has a lot of difficulties with simulating small Objects. Scale it up and apply the transforms and see if that still happens. Lowering the distance in the collision settings could also help.

    LOL.. $14 for something that takes 10 seconds without it.
