Why am I not surprised. This is EA we’re talking about, a company steeped in its self destructive quest to push live services and micro-transactions in almost every game it publishes. This is the same game company that bought many game studios like PopCap, Westwood and BioWare that used to make good games when they were independent before EA devoured them in the form of acquisitions. Now, those subsidiaries are currently making soulless cash grabs or gosh awful games that is plagued with bugs and it got worse when they went in with the DEI nonsense with their latest titles that focuses on it like Failguard being a prime example. Even with all the pushback against micro-transactions, all the controversies it suffered and most of all, their financial losses they suffered because of their money drain pit that are live services and wokeness, they still believe that live services and DEI that is now infesting the company is their recipe of their so-called “success”.
Lack of self awareness 101 from EA.

If this is the lesson they learned from Veilguard's failure, then they deserve to keep making the same mistakes until the company goes under.
