Chris, I worked many years ago for a dr, that "rumor" had it. he was gay. I really didn't know, and didn't think much about. He was one of the best bosses I ever worked with, and treated his staff like adults, which still in this day seems to be a rarity. In any case, folks would ask me about him, and the very simple answer I finally came to give them was: "I have no idea because we never discuss our bedroom habits, and it's really none of my business. I only know I love working with him.".

I agree 100% with you, Chris. But what about when there are no kids involved? How do I have my same sex neighbours in my home if I don't agree with their lifestyle/civil union?
When society let's men be men and teach their children about the sanctity of life, respecting the opposite gender, demonstrating by example how to treat women by how they treat the mother... Long story short... allow God back into the public, especially education, sphere.

I have a question I told one of my in-laws that the Harry Potter books had real spells in it because father had said so and now nobody in the family will invite me or talk to me and it's very hurtful but I am trying not to focus on the hurt which is only self-love and attachment I understand that but it's very hard because I have been sort of ostracized from my husband's family The question is I keep trying to call or send gifts or text people and I don't get any response should I keep trying
I’d turn your relationship to another type with them. Not through physical things like gifts, but if you’re able to reach out and ask what happened, and let them respond, but also take the perspective may have about it if their beliefs aren’t at that level or at the same level of understanding. Don’t see it as your job to convert them with your words. We can’t do anything at all w/o God’s direction in their lives as well as our own. You should know a certain saint would ask the angels of those in the pews before his sermons to place each listener in the disposition to be more open to hearing and absorbing as God would have it (meeting them where they are). He was known for a great number of conversions through the assistance of directly speaking to their angels or asking his own to speak to them. Not everyone would understand the perspective of the priest and may just see it as someone tryijg to be “super religious,” or “trying to force their beliefs,” or “being dramatic,” or something upon those lines. I’d pray that things go directed to God’s Will. That’s the best way I’ve found.
Catholic Priests that perform exorcisms do say that Harry Potter has spells and people watching the movie are actually inviting demons into their life. Some people are just comfortable in their ignorance, want to live their way, not Gods. Pray and fast they convert to live for God. I would rather be in Gods company than people who aren’t. Stop trying so hard to get them to accept you, live your faith, let your peace and happiness shine!
But how do you explain what they are so misunderstanding? For example that Catholics worship Mary instead of Jesus and that she was just a randomly picked woman?
Catholics do not worship our heavenly Mother, we only worship God. We love, honor and respect Virgin Mary as God does. She is not a randomly picked woman. She was created without sin to become the Pure, Holy Mother of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ. She’s the epitome of who God wants everyone to be, completely consecrated to Him.
