Wow. I could really listen to Yasser for another 1 hour and 40 minutes. :) What a storyteller! That was an amazing walk down history lane, to a romantic time in chess. He's a treasure! :)
It was very strange for me not hearing about Yasser or saw him in any of recent videos of the Chessbrahs' guys. I miss Yasser and truly hope he is well. Anyway, it is a great pleasure to see and hear Yasser again! Nice to see you again GM Yasser Seirawan!
This session got over so quickly... We need to hear more stories from Yasser! STLCC you folks need at least a couple of more parts to the podcast with Yasser. Thank you for bringing this to us!
Met him in Seattle when he was very young. At the Seattle chess club run by Robert Karch. Asked Yasser if he wanted to play some five minute. He had just finished a match and was tired so he very nicely passed. Real nice young man!
Yasser is one of my all-time favorites. Total class act! Plus he's a fellow Cowboys fan who doesn't jump ship with all the fair-weather fans who jump on the latest-greatest bandwagons!
Great video! Yasser is a fabulous story teller and has a lot of experience. The only flaw in the interview is the sound. Maybe there should have been 2 microphones.
Damn, I can't even imagine what it must have been like as a chess player (particularly in the USA) to live during the time that Fischer won the world championship match. Fischer's story post '72 championship is a real tragedy.
Man, only if I could tell stories like Yasser! He has this gift of storytelling!!

Yeah baby!!!!! Always a pleasure to hear Yasser!!
To whomever the one person is who didn't like this wonderful anecdotal exposé ....go play checkers!
I had met him personally during chess Olympiad was held in Dubai in year of 1986.
the most brilliant storyteller in our generation
One thing (among many) that sets him aside, is that he respects the others in the room. Focused, professional, yet humble.

Yasser is goated with the sauce!
Yasser had the best hair in the 80's
Yeah. He had that crazy mop top. He was always my favorite chess player. Kasparov is awesome of course but Yaz is the coolest.

Around 8:20 the host says Korchnoy - Spassky in the Loovenfish. Does anyone know how to spell that place correctly, or where to find that game?
‘Levinfish’
Yazz!😊
I sometimes wonder how much of his stories are from memory and how much from his imagination.
Why the f$&@ does he lower his voice then shouts. Its messing me up with my headphones

Quoi ? Coca Cola
qu'est-ce que tu baragouines ? qu'est ce que c'est que ça le "poison lent coca cola" ?
Horrible sound. Yasser's was so soft
