I was very sensual when I was lost. But after I got saved, I stopped that automatically without even thinking about it. I don't have time for that anymore. My mind is rejoicing in God 24/7. I need Him like the air I breathe.

As women pursuing men ,look what the Bible says in Proverbs 7 :
"She is loud and defiant ,her feet never stay at home (..)
She took hold of him and kissed him and with a brazen face she said :(..) Come let's drink deep of love till morning "
Aren't women encouraged to do this in today's society ?
And what is the result of women leading men ?: "Her house is a highway to the grave".
Feminism and 'woman power' is DEATH.

I was always a career woman until a few years ago. Now I take care of my family, and it's a good thing, too. During Hurricane Sandy, we had no electric for 2 weeks. My neighbor called JCP&L 17 times in one day. Her family just suffered (There were no Pizza rolls or Tyson nuggets to cook)My husband was very proud. We had homecooked meals, candles, clothes washed by hand. My family was clean, warm, wellfed. My point is with both people focused on the money, no one focuses on the important things.

Wow. So convicting and simply TRUTH. Oh Lord God, may we RUN from sensuality, so as to NEVER be a stumbling block to our brothers in Christ! Then we will attract only by our virtue and inner beauty, for "charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." Praise God for Paul Washer.

What I love about this, is that it is so very true. How many pastors will speak on this? In the book of Proverbs,it states that "Wisdom" is of the female gender. Man without wisdom is self-destructive. This also speaks of men getting very much in touch with the feminen nature of God within themselves in which shows mans sense of sensitivity and compassion. Men for centuries have been taught to deny this part of themselves. Not gay, but a "Gentleman." A man whom is a gentle soul. Humble and wise.

“Sensuality is just a public display of the condition of the heart.”
So many woman, even “Godly” woman dress very sensual in today’s society. When you speak against this issue, people call you judgemental or legalistic. But the way a woman dresses does reveal somethings whether they want to admit it or not.

I half way agree with him.
Agree: yes the modern world tells girls to like those Sex and the City type women. Also yes many feminist tell girls to hate men, and view them as enemies, sad. Yes this needs to be instead about virtue, self control, being humble, and not being materialistic or lustful.
Disagree: "Men must initiate." "Men always do in the Bible" Right there Paul is pulling the cultural norms of the Bible. Why make about who "initiated"? instead about the who binds the 2 Jesus :)

Honestly, I'm attracted to Christian guys for their personality and Godly character, but most of them never even ask me the time of day. I typically dress modestly in a nice blouse and professional work/black slacks as that's what I've always been most comfortable in. I don't feel like I can be modest, nor be myself in a dress and stockings, and it's crazy uncomfortable as I've always been sensory sensitive to touch/itchy tags, etc. I've always had the autistic tendency of just not making eye contact, and I've always considered that humility and godly beauty. But I'm trying to be more socially acceptable/bolder in my approach.

True christians men will not be with a woman who wears slacks unless if he became close to you and told you about it being *abominable on a woman.* Pants are not modest and are made for the men, not women. Let us be awake to this femisnist society's deceptions.

Sister, I dedicated myself to our FATHER and asked HIM to bring me a Godly woman. GOD has to be the highest priority in your life, then HE will bless you according to HIS plans. If you are attracted to a "real" Christian man, you can ask him how he has been blessed since Christ Jesus renewed him. Encourage each other in Christ. It will be good practice until GOD brings you the right man.

In her time, the most beautiful woman in Hong Kong was named Jackie Pullinger. She was a missionary who saved more physical lives than can be counted easily. She sold her only family heirloom that she brought with her on a mission to Hong kong, in order to save the life of a woman who would be killed for owing money to a gang enforcer.
Jackie was so known as a woman of God in that city, that when gangsters destroyed and smashed up her house, they went to their boss feeling bad about it, and ask what they should do.
The gangster boss told his minions that they need to ask Jackie for forgiveness for it, then never do it again. When the henchmen were incredulous at this, the boss said to them that Jackie would actually do it, because she was a real servant of God.

I can see the utilitarian value of the pre-modern hierarchy you talk about, it was a large part of why the human species was able to evolve and not go extinct. Though these strategies were useful survival techniques for our biblical goat herders, it does not also follow that these strategies are suitable for an advanced civilization like ours. A modern woman can provide for herself and determine her own path free of male intervention.

Who's now my boyfriend? Who's been a Christian for 8years (i been born again for 2years). @AndreaIsACrayon Ruth did not pursue Boaz in the modern sense at all. He had the responsibility of a 'kinsman-redeemer' according to the Mosaic law. All Ruth did, in accordance with Naomi's instruction, was to let Boaz know of his responsibility towards her under that law. Boaz, in fact, knew about Ruth because her virtuous reputation was common knowledge (Ruth 3:11). In no way whatsoever did Ruth run after Boaz in the way that women of our day chase men.

But for some inexplicable reason a lot of modern people seem to think that because they were ancient and "wise" and "mystics" or whatever they had some special insight - in that whatever they decided to write down, must have be true. I do not in fact base my beliefs on what other humans say, I base them on the preponderance of evidence that we get from applying the scientific method.

The thing is, we all sin.
As a Christian, my aim in life is to show my love to God through living a holy life. I only do that with His help, I can't do it on my own. None of us can.
I believe that all sexual sin is wrong, as according to the Bible. I think that all murder is wrong, including abortion and the death penalty.
However, I do not feel that it is my responsibility to judge or condemn those that do so. I love all people, irregardless of their sin.
    God bless you,
    Rebecca.

Solomon was also very attracted to his wife's *ah hem* pomegranate in the Song of Solomon. Sexual love inside the safety net if marriage is holy and far from shameful. It is beautiful.
Sisters: Do not be afraid to be warriors or whatever God has created and called you to be. The man God made for you will not be afraid of you. What other men find intimidating the man God made for you will celebrate. Read Proverbs 31 for yourself and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you what he wants you to know. What He revealed to me is that there are more flavours of virtuous women in the kingdom of heaven than there are flavours of ice cream on the Earth.

and dear sisters who have commented on this so far...
Arguing over all this will only lead to destruction and confusion, defeating the point of the message. When it comes to Ruth/pursuing a man/etc., the point is, as a rule, the man should be the pursuer, and the woman should be the responder--virtuous and holy, following the Lord, until the man sees her and initiates. May we seek first HIS kingdom and HIS righteousness, and "all these things will be added" to us as well.

There is at least once in scripture where the virtuous woman approached the man. " then Naomi her mother in law said to her, " my daughter shall i not seek security for you?".. therefor wash yourself, put on your best garment and go down to the threshing floor.... then it shall be when he lies down, you shall uncover his feet and lie down and he will tell you what to do" Ruth 3:1-4
