The best way to answer your question is to watch Ebro: Hip-Hop in South Africa 🇿🇦...is an interview on YoungstaCPT his clip part is from 8:07 to 14:58...but it would be cool if you'd watch the full video. Respect outta CPT 021🇿🇦.
people from cape town enjoy his music because he speaks about things that are relatable to us and that is around us, which we don't find much in other artists because our culture, especially coloureds, is not represented much in music but through YounstaCPT we get representation. also, you will find it difficult to fully react to his music as you won't understand much of what he raps about. he raps about real problems but because he uses a lot of Afrikaans and cape town references, you won't be able to appreciate it as much as South Africans would.
Youngsta cpt is boss. If you want really react to his lyricism and his delivery check out all his videos. Also his features on Dj Switch will blow your mind. This is not the one to judge his hard grind. This is a fun song
I watched the reaction of lekker that you guys did months ago and I was not impressed but I'm glad I subscribed anyway and hey it's on a reaction to a video I am sure when you make it to cape town SA and experience the beauty and joy for yourselves it would be a bit diff but hey ima shut up coz this is the only way people can travel and see things in a different light I guess.....glad you remembered who YoungstaCPT is tho FYI I only saw 3:33 min of this so far I wanted to be open to your reaction beforehand.
Cape Town is gone down in History as The Cape of Good hope since the very beginning. He rapped about the democracy. If you don't know cpt or our history, you won't get it. He's a favourite. And one of the best.
to answer your question regarding him being the best rapper. I would not say he the best that comes outta cape town but he is the only cape coloured guy being given the chance to show his talent, and we proud of him holding his heritage high. we have loads more talent but we do not get the same opportunities like your NastyC, emttee, cassper .. why you ask, because over here the black man reigns supreme we are not black enough and we are not white enough to be boosted by high-ups..ONLY FACTS NO INSULT!! SO THANK YOU GUYS FOR EVEN JUST CONSIDERING REVIEWING THIS GUY'S WORK!
Cape Town was colonised by the dutch and at that stage called Kaap De goede hoop which means the cape of good hope. Because ships used to reload here with fresh fruit and vegetables
The tittle cape of good hope is our history of a term mention by many of our cape tonian people because it's the city of good hope and also a building named good hope and our citys name is cape Town so he twisted it and called it cape of good hope but it's actually a history term for many decades before my time just the history behind cape Town that got this term the cape of good hope

It's challenging listening to a track like this if you're not from SA. He uses many Afrikaans words and references a lot of South African topics
Y’all need to do some research on CapeTown to understand our culture. You’d then understand the music more 🔥
