    I am currently starting a mobile canvas painting buisiness for retirement homes and looking to find some decent quality brushes (3 per person) Can you give me a suggestion of where to order and what 3 would be best. Most places I look to order from only sell sets of 10 or more. I would like to buy about 20 of each brushes to use 3 in a set per person. There was a canvas painting shop here that had nice bristle brushes each had a different colored handle which would be easier to instruct the elderly with which color brush to use. Any suggestions? Your video was very informative. Thank you for sharing.

      Hi Kerri, glad my video was helpful...where are you from? Here in my place we get brushes in loose...so I choose to buy them as per my need - like some different size brushes. For workshops or student exhibit works, I would buy them in sets of 10, so that all the students can use. For elderly people - you might only need to buy round and flat brushes, you can do most of the projects with just these 2 types of brushes and won't confuse them as well. If it's acrylics you are going to try, then synthetic brushes will do. They are cheap and as well as durable. What size of canvas you are going to work on? If its small sizes like 8x10, you will not need more than size 10 brush. So your set can contain - 1 round (size 6/8/10 as per the size of your canvas), 1 flat and one detailing brush (size 0 or 00). Hope it helps...let me know if you need any other info to help you with...

      Hi, Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I am in Lincoln, Nebraska. I wish I could buy sets of 10 in all the same size but just cant find them sold as singles. Usuallty in sets. We usually paint 16 x 20" canvas.

      @@Kerri007 Tried online? For 16 x 20 you will need at least 12 size brush to fill the canvas properly...small brushes will take a lot of time to do...you could also have some common bigger size brushes apart from the smaller ones, that they can share if required...

    Hi Mam. Thank you for this much needed video. Mam can u share which company is good for synthetic brushes. I used to work with pidlite fine art brushes, but they no longer feel comfortable to work. Also, please suggest fine 000 or 00 category brush company.

      Thank you!❤️...You can use camlin, faber-castell which are readily available here...any synthetic brush can come for a long time if maintained properly..for fine brushes I use Brustro brush set..hope this helps!

      Yes if it's new 😀...once used for acrylics, I would not suggest it to be used for watercolours! have seperate brushes

    I find acrylic painting difficult as my water gets muddy very fast plus the paint on the pallet dries up quickly too..how do I prevent this ? Thanks

    • @MadhulaCreations
      @MadhulaCreations  2 роки тому +3

      For muddy water - have two bowls of water - wash it in one bowl first and use second bowl everytime you change the colour...also try having more water or try using bigger bowls. Muddy water isnt a problem unless you have muddy colours to work with - you can also have a cloth to wipe the brush off after washing and before picking up the next colour...this avoids muddy colours on canvas..
      For paint drying fast - thats how acrylics work - dont take too much of paint on palette, just have enough - you can try working little faster too - you can have a spray can to just mist the paint now and then - if nothing works, use a retarder medium (i am not a big fan of retarders as i love the fastness of the acrylics😊)..hope this helps..

      I tend to be slow as it’s a new medium for me…and end up goofing up and correcting…! My brushes aren’t the right ones I feel…though I did watch your video on acrylic brushes…

      Will keep up the practice…
      I don’t have a steady hand for fine lines…the pressure gets more which makes the line uneven…hope it’ll improve with practice…please let me know how to better my fine lines. Thanks again for your prompt response. Keep up your beautiful and helpful/informative videos 💖

      @@lekhanag No worries, lines will come by practice..and don't worry if it is not perfectly straight! Try to do quicker lines with the brush instead of being cautious for it to be straight - you will get it right! Thank you 👍👍
