Love your vids, thanks for sharing. I've done over 20 solo canoe trips to the Boundary Waters. Decided to check out the TFF and I wasn't disappointed. In 2 weeks I did 2 4day trips with my dog. Now if I could just catch some fish! Haha! Thanks for the tips! I will post some video of my trips. Subbed for sure!
Thanks for the support! Haven't been to the boundry waters in the last 3 years. Did some hiking up there before I had a channel. Gotta get back up there next year.
Really depends on water temps. But the first spots I'd check would be islands and points next to the original river channels and lake basins. If the water temps have dropped below 42 degrees, I'd target the first deep points and islands just outside of their spring spawning areas.

This trip was crazy!
Alot of fish and alot of misses. Had the weather been alittle more cooperative, we would have boated a few more of those bigger pike.
What are your recommendations for pike fishing on the turtle during mid october? same strategy?

What part of Illinois do you live?
NW suburbs of Chicago... Unfortunately. Looking to move soon.
@@AnthonysOutdoors I don't blame you. I live west of Chicago near Aurora. But not in Aurora. We are looking to move to northern Wisconsin ourselves.
