It’s not that he doesn’t have the tools to be a good baserunner we saw that last year. This year though his base running metrics are poor. Bad decisions getting caught stealing and trying to stretch extra base hits. Simply look at his fangraphs base running
@@skyflavell2857he's trying to make things happen. would you prefer parking him at 1st base and watch X or Manny hit into countless DPs? sure, he's gotten bit careless trying to take extra base here and there, but more often than not, I've seen him succeed than fail
@@sumandsubstance7881 just because you succeed more than you fail doesn’t make you a good baserunner. 60% isn’t good. I get “trying to make things happen” but there’s a difference between aggressive base running and reckless. The team overall has been bottom 1/3rd in baseball in base running
