Respect & hearty Congratulations - That was a super piece of work. Downside is you now face a barrage of Questions .......... - Drone used.... ? - Video camera .... ? - Software for production .. ? - Where did you Camp (pre-Sossusvlie & Sisriem Canyon) and afterwards, especially as you headed north towards Etosha. Couple of gorgeous spots you found to climb, view and drive. Why am I asking.... ? Because we are in deep Trip Planning mode for an epic Overland from NBO to CPT using heavily modified Land Cruiser 4x4 with Tent on Roof. Thnx so much on all counts.

All the other shots and time lapses were filmed on the Sony A7R III with the 24-105 and 16-35 Sony lenses. For the close ups of the animals i used the Sigma 150-600 with an MC-11 adapter. Software: Adobe Premiere Pro Campsites north of Sossusvlei: - Sossusvlei: „Sesriem Campsite NWR“ (If you stay at the official campsite of the national park, you are allowed to enter the park before the other tourists in the morning.) - Swakopmund: „Alte Brücke Resort“ - Erongo Mountains: „Omandumba Guest Farm“ - Twyfelfontein: „Madisa“ - Palmwag: „Hoada“ - Etosha: „Okaukuejo“ and „Halali“ - Onguma: „Onguma Tamboti“ - Waterberg: „Andersson Camp“ This sounds like a great trip you are planning! I hope my information helps! Enjoy your trip!
Have you ever been checked for your registered drone flights (NCAA)? We go to Namibia soon, and I just found out that you have to register every drone flight to the NCAA in advance. I have no time left to do the application process, and we will already be back home when the application will be granted (processing time).
Philipp Weihmann Danke!
Luc SanMilano Hey Luc, thanks for asking! I was quite busy in recent time and did not find enough time to produce a video. However, I hope to find some time soon!
Mathieu Dejonghe This is on the C13 in the south at the border to South Africa, somewhere between Aussenkehr and Rosh Pinah. Where the outflow of the Fish River joins the Orange River. You may search for (-28.0949993, 17.1735999) in Google Maps.
@@KreisOliver I thought it may have been there. Did you do the Gamchab Eco Trail there? I'm going in July myself! Your video is just wonderful. Seems like a nice itinerary!
Mathieu Dejonghe I'm not sure where this trail is. We drove from Ais-Ais to about 5km north of Aussenkehr and from there along the Orange River to Rosh Pinah. Thank you!
anna pacholski For the time lapses I used the sony (with the 16-35 2.8 for the night shots) and just a cheap remote with an interval function. I don't own a gimbal for the sony. Most of the shots were shot handheld and stabilized in premiere pro.
Most of the shots were filmed in Etosha national park with a telephoto lens. The shots of the cheetahs were filmed in a conservation fund, where you can get quite close to the cheetahs.
Diego Yankee Raffaelli Thank you! Unfortunately there is no longer version of the song. For the video I took the original song, duplicated several parts and cut it to fit the video sequence.
Yes, it is. We were the third at the gate in the morning and startet the hike right when we arrived. About an hour later there were several tourists hiking up the dune.
Marc Oliver Diederich Hey Marc, this video was filmed in May. My research showed it would be the perfect time of the year and as far as we have experienced it really was.
Valentin Lavis Thanks! Most shots with movement were filmed with the iPhone X on the Smooth Q Gimbal. All the other shots and time lapses were filmed on the Sony A7R III with the 24-105 and 16-35 Sony lenses. For the close ups of the animals i used the Sigma 150-600 with an MC-11 adapter.

Hi, tolles Video! Hast du vielleicht eine Email Adresse bei der ich dich erreichen könnte bezüglich licensing des Footages? Ich arbeite an einer Naturdoku und würde mich eventuell für ein paar Shots interessieren. Danke und beste Grüße aus Österreich
Cool Video! Like it. Great job. We took the same song for our video of our three weeks trip through namibia. What's your filming equipment? Are you swiss guys? I've see the Officer's knife...
