Hello from Belgium, your videos are great, I've been researching baby phones for weeks. I have 3 questions about these baby monitors: 1/ when you are outside, and therefore not connected to the house's wi-fi, do you have to connect to the application or the website to see the sleeping baby at home? (ex: lollipop, you have to connect to the website when you are outside). 2/ always outdoors, are the notifications noisy or just a beep or visual notification on the Iphone? 3/ do you have a recommendation for a Baby Phone combining Hertzian waves and Wi-Fi? Unfortunately, I have very thin walls or the wi-fi does not pass... :( Thank you very much for your feedback.
Hello @fathercraft, thanks for the great review. I was curious if you've used the Miku Pro lately and what device you used it on. Our first kid is arriving in a few weeks and we have the Miku still in its box because we looked at the app reviews on Android and Apple and they're quite awful, 2.0 and 3.3 respectively. Are these scores representative of the current state or are they off from your experience?
Hello! Thanks for the great videos my husband and I both subscribed! I was wondering if you have considered low emissions, or low to no radiation baby monitors? What do you think of the Bebcare monitors which tout these features? Thanks!!
Hello! Thanks for the subs! We have an emissions tester and are planning a video at some point about this. Certainly a consideration, but when we test emissions where the baby is vs the monitor, scores are incredibly low - Nanit and Miku both suggest positioning that is pretty high above the crib. Haven’t tested Bebcare.
Hi, I'm looking for a cheap monitor that will alert me if the baby cries for a few minutes and will be connected to wifi. I don't need it to measure temperature or breathing and all that. What do you recommend?
Hello! This was my stupidity but just realizing the nanit pro does not come with a separate monitor and is used solely off your phone. Are the notification settings customizable to where you can set them up to be more than just a “ding” notification on your phone? I’m worried I won’t hear the notification when sleeping if my baby is crying. All my siblings with kids have had a separate baby monitor so I’m just not used to it only being on your phone. Any insight to what the notification settings are like would be extremely helpful as I’m considering returning the nanit pro and getting the eufy since it has a separate monitor.
Just a shout out that I have found your videos super helpful and really appreciate all your input, since the volume of baby products out there is very daunting! I have already bought the Newton mattress on your recommendation! I do have a question about the different options for the Nanit. I am struggling to figure out the right fit for me as far as the options go. I would love to have something that allows me to bring the camera to different bedrooms. Does that mean I should go with the Flex? I feel like that would be the most portable and versatile. Is there a benefit to the floor stand or wall Mount that the Flex does not offer? I have seen the bundle on Nanit that includes the Floor Mount with travel set including Flex. Perhaps that’s the best if cost isn’t a concern and there are different advantages to the Flex and Floor/Wall model? Thanks for your help!
Thanks for the kind words! The biggest difference is that you won’t be able to use Nanit insights if the monitor is mounted on the flex stand. The reason being that the monitor needs to be mounted directly over the crib, which you can’t do with the flex stand.

It seems like the Nanit company is really looking to get $$$ every way they can.... Camera? Give us money. Want the main feature of breathing? Give us money for wearables. Want this growth tracking feature? Give us money for sheets. Want to keep more historical data than 48 hours? Give us more money for this subscription. Want some cool advice on baby sleeping? Give us more money for this premium subscription....... Miku on the other hand you just buy the camera, and that's it... Am I missing some extra hidden fees/costs with the Miku?
Yeah Nanit does have a lot of add ons for sure. You can look at the sheets and sleepwear as things you’d need to buy anyway, just buy them from Nanit instead … but it does add up. Miku did launch a paid subscription recently, but they kept the core features free.
Vtech baby camera failed me so I am in search for one. As my daughter just turned one, do you think it is still worth to invest in Nanit or Miku for all those analytics ?
I’m in the same boat as you! Bought the Vtech 7 inch monitor with the two cameras included from target. Worked great for a month or so, but has since become completely useless! It constantly disconnects and the image quality always varies between decent and down right horrible. Have you by chance gotten a new monitor yet?

If so, which ones do you truly think are worth it? Do you think insights are really worth it, if you're already in a rhythm and routine with your child?
No subscription needed with Miku and no Insights/breathing monitoring are not needed if you feel like sleep isn’t an issue with your child, in my opinion.

@Fathercraft I love your videos. Like most of your viewers, I am a father to be and I always do a ton of research before I buy products. Your channel is so helpful in sifting through the ton of products in this space. Your videos are informative, paced well, and fun. I’m torn between the Miku and the Nanit. I want to say Nanit because it’s at the top of a lot of lists but I hate subscriptions. If one were to get a Nanit with the flex stand and just DIY a floor stand, could it then work with Insights? Miku can travel without extra accessories and just DIY a floor stand?
Thanks for the kind words! You could use a diy stand with the wall mount (insights don’t work with the flex mount). Miku is lower maintenance than Nanit so I think would be easier to travel with. I also hate subscriptions so Miku would be my recommendation in your situation.

Have you had a chance to check if you can set up a separate monitor for the app based cameras? Also, do you have to be logged into the app overnight to hear any alerts?
Each app based monitor has the ability to connect to multiple cameras. Only the lollipop and Nanit Pro have multi stream capabilities. You do not need to have the app open at night to hear background audio.

Hey Jesse ... good question and ... it depends. Obviously babies survived for thousands of years without fancy wearables, and they can today. For us, it really comes down to what's going to help you get more peace of mind as a parent. And we'd call out the absolute best thing to do is make sure your baby is in a safe sleeping environment - crib/bassinet with a firm mattress, nothing in the crib, snugly fitting pajamas. Hope that helps!
Hi Elizabeth, you can use it but the breathing monitoring won't work. One thing we always tell people about this type of situation though-you're going to use your baby monitor a lot longer than you're going to use a Snoo, so don't choose one dependent on the other. Hope that helps.

I can’t see too many differences between the Miku and Nanit other than long terms cost and style of breathing tracking. Is it the breathing tracking that makes the Nanit just that little bit better on the list?
Other big thing is connection reliability. Miku is good and improving, Nanit is rock solid consistently in feedback we get from parents. Thanks for the question!

Owlet had some issues with the FTC last year around how they were marketing their vitals monitoring. We downgraded them based on that. Haven’t tested out recently though, could have improved after they pivoted
Cubo's AI is beyond useless. In 7 months we have gotten over 2,000 alerts that our baby has rolled over. A few days ago we got 91 alerts in 1 night that she rolled over. Every single alert we have ever received has been wrong. Cubo has admitted that a baby sleeping with its head turned to the side will trigger a rollover alert. They also admitted the baby wearing a sleep sack, or even pajamas can interfere with it as well. Ultimately they told me that our baby was "not compatible" with Cubo. The camera is good, and the 24/7 timeline is handy, but that's where the good features begin and end.
@@mariahidalgobaz4496 After briefly trying a Miku (who are now bankrupt) which managed to be even worse than Cubo, we now use a $35 Wyze camera + a micro SD card and have no regrets. The camera quality is excellent, and the reliability is great. It doesn't have any gimmicks or tricks like the expensive baby monitors, it just works. We don't pay for the Wyze Cam Plus subscription, but if we did it's only $20 a year.
Other than the mention of Eufy, there weren’t any non-WiFi connected monitors on your list. I’ve been looking at monitors that are both connected and have a parent unit. It’s theoretically the best of both worlds, but I’ve never seen one in any top monitor lists until the updated Eufy mentioned. Any suggestions?

For us, it really comes down to what's going to help you get more peace of mind as a parent. And we'd call out the absolute best thing to do is make sure your baby is in a safe sleeping environment - crib/bassinet with a firm mattress, nothing in the crib, snugly fitting pajamas. Hope that helps!
Hi, does Miku Pro have possibility for more phone views (mostly remote for a grandpa)? Great video anyway :)
Yes - you can add multiple users to your account
@@Fathercraft Great, thanks, Anyway can you give me the size info regarding the bag?
If you go to Fathercraft.com/bag you’ll get a full rundown of the specs.
Also a heads up…. The Happiest Baby link doesn’t work. Didn’t work when I typed it in either.
Thanks - looking into it now!
Can you use the nanit while using the snoo?
Hi Elizabeth, you can use it but the breathing monitoring won't work. One thing we always tell people about this type of situation though-you're going to use your baby monitor a lot longer than you're going to use a Snoo, so don't choose one dependent on the other. Hope that helps.
For the Nanit/Miku, is there a way to give access to caregivers/grandparents in order to utilize the camera so the parents can have a night out?
There is - you can have multiple users under one account

I can’t see too many differences between the Miku and Nanit other than long terms cost and style of breathing tracking. Is it the breathing tracking that makes the Nanit just that little bit better on the list?
Other big thing is connection reliability. Miku is good and improving, Nanit is rock solid consistently in feedback we get from parents. Thanks for the question!

Have a question and not sure if you've already covered this but why doesnt Owlet make it into the top 5?
Would you buy nanit pro rather than CuboAi? Trying to make my mind up between those two
@@mariahidalgobaz4496 After briefly trying a Miku (who are now bankrupt) which managed to be even worse than Cubo, we now use a $35 Wyze camera + a micro SD card and have no regrets.
Hey Scott, unfortunately we've never found other monitors that have both an app and a parent unit that are any good. Motorola makes some, we've had terrible experiences when testing them ... ua-cam.com/video/D2GM5BTcxfI/v-deo.html

Nice thank you!
Really disappointed with Eufy. Rude support team and had multiple faulty units. Ended up having to fight with them for a refund. Never again.
I don’t see this miku care plus when I am using their camera. Am I missing something?
Interesting - I don’t think it’s a beta version but will def look into it.
@@Fathercraft after speaking with miku they say they haven’t officially rolled it out and it’s currently just a preview. My other complaint with miku is I live in Canada and they have never restocked the floor stand. I’ve had my miku pro for over a year and have never been able to get a floor stand
@@justinhoegy9112 do you think the nanit pro is better? i'm stuck between the two at the moment
@@romz874 I’ll agree what is said in this video that the miku continues to get better with time. I haven’t had many issues with my miku pro. Just make sure you have good internet and a good connection and you should be fine. I suggest having a mesh system in the house or at least having the router close to the babies room with the monitor. No wearables and no subscription is what sets the miku apart from the nanit for me. Baby sleep is about having a consistent schedule so I don’t really need the added info from nanit’s subscription service. Miku can be used with another baby with breathing monitor without forking out money again
How about the owlet?
Do these work if the internet is down?
Nanit Pro has a fallback option to work via Bluetooth.
@@Fathercraft That’s great to know, thanks!
Good video! Bummer that most of these require a subscription… makes the miku really attractive but 400 is steep!
Yeah … seems like everyone is getting into the subscription game :/
Does Miku have a subscription?
It does not
thanks for giveaway
You bet.
Please take this video down as the miku pro is awful. The company was purchased, it is now a subscription for the advanced features. The monitor constantly disconnects from WiFi I will not trust this monitor whatsoever. I also purchased this monitor buy buy baby when they were closing so I have no way to return it. Biggest waste of money
Just fyi, hoooly shit there's a lot of bad tips in here, especially in the giveaway product. Stay away from the product, and stay close to your baby instead!
New sub here and also a new father to be on 3 weeks

You lost me at the belches....
I’m sorry for our loss
@@Fathercraft it's mainly just your loss, and down vote. I was enjoying the breakdown until that point despite the flogging of merchandise.

$300 diaper bag. Dude, kmon
everything was fine until you burped into the face… man… it’s freaking disgusting
Excuse me!
These are all absolutely horrendous baby monitors. They all emit high doses of wireless radiation. I would never trust any of these baby monitors near my baby.
