    This video is gold, thank you for sharing your setup :) I feel sorry for your feet though they look a little squashed. Anyway, that Nektar Pacer looks interesting and I could need a foot pedal so I will take a closer look into that. Had the 12 step in mind but I think I prefer real buttons.

    Can somebody explain to me how she gets first melodic sequence in the right tempo? I can't hear a metronome and I have always wondered how to start a loop without having a reference to the master clock.
    or is she creating her own tempo somehow?
    Anyway dope performance

    • @Unit27
      @Unit27 6 років тому +3

      cimon Push's metronome button flashes in time with the session, which you can use as a visual metronome. That, coupled with input quantization and practice could be enough to get clean recordings without a click.

    • @cimonfinix
      @cimonfinix 6 років тому

      Unit27 thx, so you think this is how she did it?

    • @fakshen1973
      @fakshen1973 6 років тому

      She's recording it as audio. Then looping the start and end points. Ableton is probably warping the audio clip. So even if it's a little long or short, it will be in time with the beat once it's looped after playing live.

    • @hackedmatt
      @hackedmatt 6 років тому

      Quantizing?

    • @cimonfinix
      @cimonfinix 6 років тому

      fakshen1973 so you mean she has a simpler on a midi track and sets the output to another track where she's recording the audio? But how does she know the right tempo to start with? If she is too slow or fast you would hear the artifacts from abletons warping. Thanks anyway for your support

  • @DomZeal

    Whenever I try to make a track for a live performance I just make the track without thinking about the performance aspect and then once it’s done I remove a few parts so I have something to play live on push on stage. I don’t like the way I do it but I really struggle with working out how to make a track specifically designed for performing from the start.
