Just go to your local Chinatown grocery store ask for wintermelon tea (dong gua cha). $2 ish per small cube (1/4 of the block sizes in this video) makes 1 gallon. Cheap here and Too cheap in Taiwan.

Olha um taxo de cobre grande, um açúcar cristal mesmo, colher de pau de 1 metro, forma de bolo antiga. Corta os cubinhos no tamanho gelo ou usa a forminha de aluminio mesmo. Ferve a agua coloca uns cubinhos na panela e depois vai pra geladeira.

酒、醋、鹽、糖這四種調味品，更是普遍使用在保存食當中的天然防腐劑。酒精和醋具有殺菌的效果，而鹽和糖的加入，則是增加食物裡面的滲透壓，使得細菌等微生物無法在上面生存。
