It's amazing it can come in at that price with the extra mesh and doors/covers. I know full mesh can often be heavier than a thin denier inner fabric but to have both and come in at 1.6kg is superb. Loving the features etc. Great vid.
You love a good review you mind Mike 😂 Thanks for the info and to be fair if you weren't out here putting your time in showing us all this kit along with the upside and downside I'd be knee deep in more camping equipment i just don't need. Thanks for putting in the time, work and effort on all this kit. Legend!
Great review. The inner tent looks like a regular tent . It all seems well made The crossed interior guy lines are a good idea for strength on those windy days. We’re having another heat wave here…hearing you say it’s cooler there would be welcomed here Take care and I know we will see your torch review soon! 🇨🇦❤️🔦
Looks decent I do prefer that shape of tent over tunnel style tents and the width of the inner is ideal. Personally I go for outer pitch 1st but everyone is different.
If Huggy Bear was looking for a tent he'd buy one of these....It's a Big Agnes Cooper Spur UL HV clone, but the Big Agnes has a few different tricks up its sleeve, it's lighter (1.3kg), has an awesome parcel shelf and can be pitched outer first ( footprint required), this looks like a good budget alternative though.
Like this tent design, I go for inner pitch first as like a taut inner, but my Campz is 2kg and 120cm wide, more than i need and too much mesh. I think this tent looks good and as a solo female, being a camo tent, if anyone sees me they will assume I'm a bloke with long hair 😂
@Chilternwildcamper 🤣 I have far from long hair but yes I suppose or maybe military 😂 it's a really good tent and those options of fully solid or loads of mesh and anywhere inbetween are a great addition. 👍
@richardbrend7512 I think so long as there isn't too much mesh most of the time it would be fine. That's what I love about this as you can choose. Really hot night you just open everything up and if it's blowing freezing wind in then close most of the mesh off to keep the warmth. Downside to those american type ones for trail hiking where they're all mesh, it's fine in constant dry hot weather but so rare we get that in the uk.
Ah yes, missed that bit on the vid. I recorded in the morning that it was thick clagg all night so torch review wouldn't work. Must have forgotten to add it in. I will do it one day 👍 cheers for noting that, I'll add it in the description section.
Its not sure 4 season tent. It just has a 4 season inner. 4 season tents would have sides to the ground and snow/driving rain capability. The issue is that Chinese tent manufacturers don't really make proper 4 season tents, they just offer a summer inner with mostly mesh and a winter inner with less mesh. This is not a true 4 season tent hence I called it a 3 season with an inner that can help in four seasons but not getting the inside wet when setting up in rain. They do offer a full mesh inner as well for hotter climates but pretty much useless in this country.
My computer says their web site is infected!! when i went to look. I have the inner pitch first Wechsel Exogen 2 tent. But with the footprint it's easy to pitch outer first and them clip in the inner. has a transverse pole a but like the southern cross 2 tent.
@ianmatlock1 yeah if they made a footprint that would work too but the inner really helps with removing the need for it being solid. I use their website all the time and nothing from my phone. Might be your settings on your computer mayb 🤷🏼♂️
I bought the Hill Zero Scout Camo 1p tent 2 weeks ago. I was concerned about buying from a company in China. I have a buddy that has had his credit card hacked several times buying from China. Well I just had the card I used to buy the Scout tent hacked. I am hard pressed to believe it had nothing to do with my purchase from Hill Zero. :(
@@NoviceWildCamper I am not happy about it. I do like the tent and the service was excellent. I also started on my journey to buy this tent from a "Personal Best of 2024" video from a long established UA-camr I trust (and still do). But just too much theft on the internet. I would rather be leery based on what just happened to me and what has happed to my friend than buy overseas again.
Good lord that's one lairy tent. Glad I didn't watch at night as I would have been too scared to 😱sleep. Not what I would choose for a chilled Sunday afternoon viewing. You may have to put some PG rating warnings in future. I'm off to have a green tea to calm down.😉
@iCupcake01 I've done a few campaigns with it now but not done a long term review. I don't think I've used it enough to do it justice. It's a good tent though I just don't like the white really.
I just bought the scout 1p. Curious, I received a verification from PayPal immediately. It has been half a day and no verification of order from Hill Zero. Did you experience this? Usually verification of order when buying in the U.S.A is within in minutes. Payment is pending on my credit card. It is my first time buying something out of the United States.
@baldmi3603 it's probably just the time difference and being a weekend. Theyre pretty good as a company. Hang on till tomorrow and I'm sure you'll see something 👍

Haze outdoors in his latest video was using a bush box on Dartmoor claimed as it's not an open fire it's fine, yet you told some lads off ISH 😂 heavy on the ISH for using a raised fire pit....just for clarification who's correct haha 😂 what are the rules....
Open fire is what's classified as not for use. So really none of them should have it but the main problem is people having a fire on the ground. A bushbox could scorch the ground as could a purpose built firepit that you can but for camping but admittedly these guys had a purpose built firepit and was on top of rocks so no danger of burning the ground or starting a fire but in reality they were breaking the rules. In all other aspects they were OK though so they let it burn out and didn't use it any more. They spent quite a bit of time later over at my tent chatting about the rules as they camp a lot and properly but we're honestly unaware of the dartmoor rules. Some people just need educating and other just couldn't care less and ruin it for others. I haven't seen hates video but if he's using it for cooking it makes no sense ad you can't burn anything on dartmoor so would have to bring your own wood as well unless he was decimating the fauna as well 🤷🏼♂️
@@NoviceWildCamper well in hazes defence he did cut out the turf very neatly to situate the bush box so it would only scorch the dirt, then replace the turf leaving no trace. He was carrying his own wood definitely already dead and collected before hand. I was just wondering because if a fire is a no go on Dartmoor which I believe you are correct then his channel having so many followers is surely promoting something that isn't allowed and encourages other to do this themselves. The biggest problem with that alot of people don't care and won't make the effort to leave no trace.

Yeah I'd always go outer pitch first normally but there's definitely a place for this
Looks like might be room for a bigger battery which would be better as it looks difficult to pedal and the small wheels will be an issue off road.
