I'm not sure who choreographed it overall, but I'm pretty sure it was Bang Chan's idea to base the choreography on Haka since he's showed a lot of interest in, love for the culture.
스태스트레이 키즈 that’s not true. There are 4 choreographers were involved, 3 Koreans and 1 person from New Zealand that were credited. Stray kids do not choreograph their own dances, they only suggest ideas and share their opinion. That isn’t self choreographing
@@a_lost_staysider no, stray kids said by themselves that they make the choreos and that four other dancers suggest ideas. They already said this alot of times
As a Māori, I feel very grateful towards bangchan because he recognised and credited my culture, which means a lot since it is a dying culture after a suppression act years ago. Seriously, thanking him.
What wasn't mentioned about the haka is that it is also traditionally considered a song of challenge (the All Blacks rugby team are famous for it and pretty much introduced it to the world) and in this context it perfectly fits the aesthetic of the Miroh song and MV. Stray Kids are challenging conventional ideas and preconceptions and are determined to make their own mark on the world. I applaud BangChan and Stray Kids for their innovation. (And yes, I'm a Kiwi, too!) Thank you for this reaction!
Hi, thanks so much for the reaction!! I just checked the credits to find out the choreographers of MIROH for you, and there were 4 choreographers. 3 of them korean (Na Tae Hoon, Park Kyung Seok, and Sim Kyu Jin) and 1 is a choreographer from New Zealand! (Parris Goebel), so I believe they specifically hired a New Zealand choreographer to help incorporate the Haka elements and they all worked together to make this choreo ^^
Kia ora in Māori means thx/hello but in this case I'm saying thx as a Māori. And yes we do kinda get excited when our country or culture gets mentioned ✌️🖤💯
Thank you for having such a nice explanation of the Haka. Being Kiwi with many Maori family members it was nice to see. Also the wedding clip you used in the explanation, the audio from that was used in the intro for Simon Says by NCT 127
Not a dancer, random UA-cam recommendation but I loved how I actually paid attention at the choreography rather than fangirling at my boys lol. I watched 4 of your stray kids reaction and loved how you actually noticed the main dancers in the group and complimented them in different videos without actually knowing them. And love how you said - love the visuals 2 times in different videos when Hyunjin came in lol. Overall enjoyed all the reactions. Hopefully you react to their latest comeback - "God's menu" choreography and side tract - "easy" choreography. Thank you. Bless you.
i appreciate comments like these. thank you so much for tuning into the channel! i really want to do my homework on these individuals, theyre all great dancers in their own right! much appreciated for your time and energy! (also! i'm doing a god's menu cover soon! please stay tuned for that!)
Yes the dance choreography is based on Haka, and Stray Kids did clearly introduce the album main idea in the interview of Cle 1: Miroh. Here’s the link: ua-cam.com/video/l3x2u_bHFA0/v-deo.html and an English sub is available so everyone can take a short time to see how they introduced their ideas. They are really talented and I love their intro clips of every album. They always introduce their new albums with passion and with clear thinkings of their own. The leader Bang Chan and the lead dance Felix are both from Australia 🇦🇺, and both of them perform the HAKA dance best, so that’s why in Miroh Bang Chan and Felix have more center positions. Members know it and they are willing to give both Bang Chan and Felix to shine, this is really the best group spirit and so touching. Fortunately Stray Kids got their first win in Miroh era.
Yes ima pull the "as a Kiwi" card here 😂 I think it's great! Amazing Choreo... It's done seriously which I think it needs to be, so well done. Culture is something to be shared 💜 The contact is amazing although the slapping of the arms needs to be a little harder... Although... This is Kpop... Not War we're talking about 😂💜
Something that all the members point out is felix part right before the bridge (around 7:59 ), in this dance practice you can't really hear well the base kicks on the music but his hand movements go exactly in-sync with it.
the way i clicked so fast when i saw stray kids..... whoa. anyway, i recommend u to react or check out side effetcs and double knot, they go real hard in those vids.

You should react to VERIVERY, they’re a rookie group and they’re known for their synchronization. They’re also participating in Road To Kingdom, which is like a performance competition.
Pls react to B.a.p Warrior, honeymoon, one shot or skydive Very powerful. im sure stray kids participated in the creation and ideas of the choreography but in the Miroh album, there are four credited choreographers: Taehoon Na, Kyungseok Park, Gyujin Sim, and Parris Goebel (the New Zealand choreographer). also, please forgive me if the korean choreographers' names are incorrect, i hate google translate.
Pretty sure the dance line (Hyunjin, Felix and Lee know) mainly choreographed it, and bang chan suggested basing it off the haka and there were a few other people who helped them by suggesting ideas too
One things I thing is nice is the fact that when they perform the Haka parts, is Felix and BangChan in the center, even though all of them dance too. Even though they have the Korean ascendancy, they are from New Zeland in the first place. It might be a slightly detail, but I think is important. I am a Brazilian, and I might be wrong, but I understand Haka dance rituals similarly to our Candomblé dance rituals. If any kpop group use our dance moves, I would like somewhat of this respect.
I’m here after their tour date release. And you know what. I’m mad mad. If there was respect for our culture. It feels only right to show that appreciation by performing in Aotearoa. Or am I tripping. Cause we all know this tour is probably their last as ot8 for a few years.
please do any reactions to road to kingdom performances!! rookie groups/underrated groups are currently participating such as: verivery, too, oneus, the boyz, pentagon, onf, and golden child (but sadly they were eliminated) I still believe their performances are worth checking out tho!

Also, if you have time, please check out TXT's recent comeback!! They released 2 mv's so far (though they've already ended promotions). Can't You See Me and PUMA - both have dance practices as well. Might you consider watching Can't You Keep the Monster Alive dance practice as well? The recent two are certainly a different style than they've done before. The third I've mentioned is more up to their usual sound, but all are amazing nonetheless!! Looking forward to your videos!!
