Now this is what a DJ should be like. Double backspins, all 4 faders up, scratching, is there anything King Roger can't do on decks! Sometimes he does sound off, but I don't mind that,that means he is trying things on the fly and I can let it go. Anyone can play one track after another after about a month's training, but this is the "space dust that legends are made up of".

I've seen Roger Sanchez at least two other times before, once in Chicago a few years back and, of all the clubs I've been to in the USA, Canada, and Europe, this place, the Boiler Room, New Delhi BLOWS every other place awayyyyyyyyyy! Su dominio de la técnica ya sean con platos y mucho más aún con las nuevas mesas de mezclas y Pioneers es de virtuosismo. Su poder creativo es tremendo. Cuando además acompaña todo ese torrente de destreza con música de primera calidad, como es esta sesión, el resultado es insuperable. Es el mejor.
Por fin gente entusiasmada y disfrutando de la música. Y no esos sosos que están ahí por estar de otros videos de Boiler Room. Por fin gente auténtica disfrutando auténticamente de la música.
No sé cuánto tiempo llevan escuchando house en India, pero Roger da una auténtica Masterclass de house clásico (el mejor house), llenando los temas de samplings y accapellas míticos y que todos los amantes del house conocemos. Samples que no pasan de moda. Acierta de lleno con un público seguramente nuevo en estos sonidos, dándoles lo mejor del house, la leeción básica de lo que es esta música. Maravilloso set.

I'm a big Roger Sanchez fan, but this set was a little off. Weird pauses and mixes that seemed off. With that said, the crowd was awesome. People actually partying, instead of standing talking and making cell phone videos all night. Props to the peeps in India.

No, there has never been so much good funky soulful house music produced as of right now. Just check Traxsource and Juno and you'll understand what I mean. Even Beatport has some really nice house music coming out now and then. Then there's classics from 30 years to fall back on... Perhaps R S should fall forward a little more :) .
dj-peterofficial kinda gotta agree. been collecting for a while, and there was a period where it was hard to find good true house music. But if you look now there definitely is another renaissance coming about. Roger Sanchez is great as both a DJ and a producer. His Longevity speaks for itself. Finding great music is a personal experience just like the music itself. Can't help but want to go straight to my decks after watching any one of Roger's sets. He isn't and never was one of those stay still boring mix dj's. he is REALLLY good at quick buildups and breakdowns and manipulating energy and the best parts of songs to get people to respond. Pretty much is demonstrating truly how fun djing can be when you are original.
I agree. Beeing a DJ since 1985 and still in the booth every week, Roger Sanchez is one of a kind and a source of inspiration. With ''real'' house music stronger than in a long time I think R S will have a great couple of years ahead of him, and so will I :) . I can see the difference the last year by just looking at how my own house mixes are gaining attraction in 4 digits in only a week or two, which never ever happened with EDM/Chart mixes. As I'm only known in the local area and most of my friends listen to other kind of music, this must be because of more people actively looking for proper house music on the internet. That's great!
I think the Microphone hit you on its way to the floor! Some Samples and Loops are TIMELESS. I agree with the "Shitty EDM" comment. If you grow up listening 1990's house it's hard to understand the why so much energy is going toward the EDM movement at the moment.

You mean all the tracks, the samples and loops originates from, in this 4 track at the same time 1 hour 42 min live mix??? Good luck finding out :) . Some vocal samples and known parts you may recognize by ear and the few parts he let you hear as single tracks, but the rest... Don't think R S himself always remembers every bit he uses in the heat of the moment. Listen to some real classic house collections and you'll soon find a lot you recognize but the secret part, where he uses his own produced beats and bass lines to glue everything together, only R S knows what they are. But you're lucky :) . There's +30 years of quality house for you to dig in to, and there's more new proper house released now than ever. Good times! I Don't like sneaky spam links, so I'll just say I'm very familiar with a site that has Funky House mixes including Track lists. New mixes coming out every month :) . That wasn't sneaky, was it ;) .
