Ndize pafupi pa Mlungu wanga is another favourite traditional hymn in the Reformed Church in Zambia and CCAP in Malawi. A self conviction to draw closer to God in whose care we find refuge. An English version is Nearer my God to Thee. Be Blessed and to God be the Glory.

Ngakhale pa mtanda mundikweza,
Koma ndiimbabe, Mbuye mndikhalitse
M'fupi ndinu.
2. Ngakhale kuthengo ndasokera,
M'dima ndigonapa, E! pamwala:
Koma m'kulotako Ndyandikizanso
