Thank you so much for the video. Could you please tell how the boundary conditions of air and fuel inlet mass flow is calculated. Is it assumed to be the same value as 3D case or do we need to make changes for the actual values for 2D. or is it accounted when you gave hydraulic diameter ?. Thanks once again!
This problem is specifically taken from the experimental work carried out by Brookes et al. All Boundary conditions including mass and fuel flow rate are considering similar to validate this work with experimental data. Although one can calculate the fuel flow rate from the schochiometric A/F ratio.
You can not directly simulate Methane+Ethane with Species transport modelling. One can import reaction species from CHEMKIN mechanism in to Fluent. Regards.
Hello Ahmed, appreciate your concern. I had used refinement option in ANSYS meshing, which wont allow inflation method simultaneously (Up to my best knowledge). The main objective of this tutorial is to demonstrate Species transport model, but one can explore boundary layer mesh in FLUENT- meshing from one of my tutorial with link: ua-cam.com/video/IANslL_LTEY/v-deo.html
Can you do a video for premixed methane-air combustion as well please? Or could you give me some pointers here in the comments? I'm completely lost with figuring out an appropriate model and also whether there is any option to set the ignition location. Thanks!
Eddy dissipation model will take care about ignition based on equivalent ratio and air fuel mixture prepared locally. Although I will post pre-mixed combustion tutorial soon👍
Hi, thank you for your video. I have a question about it. I have followed the instruction. However, my file does not have an inlet or outlet. Could you help me with this situation?
Thank you! My first successful combustion simulation.
Thank you sir for your every post.
We can learn this high cost tutorials freely from you.
Once again thanks. Please keep posting
Thank you very much for your support and feedback 🙏
@@EngineeringNature kindly let me knw how u decide mass flow rate ?
In this case ?
Great and short tutorial!
Thank you for your encouraging feedback

Really helpful,
Thank you for you effort sir😊
Thank you
@@EngineeringNature hello sir, could you give me some online session related to Basic of IC Engine Fluent in ANSYS,
i am ready to pay suitable Amount
Sir can you also share video of hydrogen and air mixed Combustion proccess
How did u decide the mass flow rate of methane and air ?

Could you please make a video on combustion in pulse detonation engine
Thanks . We will
@@EngineeringNature thank you so much sir
why you did not take inflation method into considerations while meshing ?

You should defined inlet and outlet through name selection in Ansys meshing tool. Regards
Can you please make video on micro pre mixed Combustion simulation with the help of chemkin mechanism.
Sure, I will try.
Could you please make a video of combustion in Scramjet Engine
I will try to prepared for the same.
Sir please can you give reference of the Paper of Brookes et al I cant find that paper .
Very useful
Thanks a lot
Hello
Could you please let me know how did you calculate the mass flow rate of air and fuel?
Thanks in advance.
The air and Methane flow rate are taken from the experimental work carried out by Brookes et al (2010).
Regards.
👌👌👌
thanks
It's very difficult to follow this video. Most of the portions are confusing and very fast to follow
Ok ,I will note down your feedback.
