Ekwah is the next on the premiership radar. The man's outstanding. And Chris right scoring nearly made this old man cry. 16 yrs old and future England international
@@samrichardson9487 he had a typo it's not Chris right it's Chris rigg...and yes he's a 16 yo English player...he wasn't talking about ehwah...just a typo on rigg
He's from Costa Rica, but he's also 18, so I'm not sure he knew how much disrespect he was throwing. The first two were filthy, but the third he was just asking to get kicked.
I went into this game expecting to lose against Southampton but what a performance by the lads. Also, Southampton fans were outstanding. 4-0 down. All still there and singing their hearts out. 👌
we were quiet for a bit in the second half but started singing again after like, 60 minutes. we were mostly actually singing about how quiet the sunderland fans were at 4-0 up@@ethanftm9134
Chris Rigg scoring icing on the cake, we've got a team full of young lads with a lot of talent & he is a massive prospect. He's at the right club to progress. It was young Jobe Bellingham last home game. The reason Jobe signed for us, I'm certain is it doesn't matter how old you are if you're doing the job you get played regardless of age. How many young prospects are held back by their clubs to "protect" them? Then they end up losing confidence & experience they could be getting while playing. Ekwah is only 21 yrs old he is a fantastic player never seen without a big smile on his face. Jack Clarke a 10 million pound buy for Spurs I think he got 1 game. Came here played a full season was amazing & prem clubs have been bidding for him again. The team spirit amongst these lads is a massive thing. They're all around the same age & all get on great. Dennis Cirkin, Dan Ballard both fantastic young players not given their chance at Spurs & Arsenal. I can go on about the rest of them. Theres a story behind them all. But yesterday Chris Rigg announced himself on the big stage just short of 42 thousand crowd live TV. The big guns will keeping an eye on him, but what's the point? They won't play him in their 1st team & he'd end up just another one of those fantastic prospects. He couldn't be at a better club for his own progression at this stage of his career.
The most magical Sunderland performance I have seen in my 14 years of following the club. Most unexpected. Reminds me of my native Denmark's 6-1 victory vs. Uruguay at the Mexico World Cup in 1986, with a magnificent young Michael Laudrup. What the h... just happened today. Like Ajax at their best. Free flowing attacks all the time. And that goal of Bennette and Rigg, it was like peak Messi and Ronaldo in the same team. Wow.
EFL fans are pure class or at least this comment section! Both sides. I love when a game as one sided as this ends and both sets of fans are still there till the end just for the love of the game, bravo EFL.
just one of those days where the whole team wasn’t at it. but credit to Sunderland, they had the quality to exploit our weaknesses and were on us until the end. Russell martin needs to find a way to stop these quick transitions against us, we look like we could concede every time and that’s very worrying.
A real boost for the rest of the Championship that Southampton chose not to buy a goalkeeper on deadline day and are going to go without one until January at least
Ha way mate be realistic, Boro don't come into it. To be honest if we didn't go up I wouldn't mind Boro going up one bit. They're not who we hate & there's a lot feel the same way.
What's with the sprinklers being on just before the games? Can't the Pommies go a few hours without being rained on? Congratulations Sunderland. Hope to see you and Conventry playing up next season. Luv from downunder!
Makes the ball move faster, we like playing a quick passing game. It benefits quick players also mate. You might not believe this fact because of how far North we are, but Sunderland is one of the driest places in the UK. It's the west of the country that gets most of the rain.
Nah Sunderland have got that kind of performance in there locker every week just put away chances today not many better footballing sides in championship than sunderland
Well played Sunderland but this was seriously on the cards for Southampton, who have the worst defense in the Championship. Plus they've been quite fortunate with a late win at Plymouth and a late equaliser against Norwich.
Bazunu is one of the worst keepers I’ve ever seen- I’ve seen every game he’s played for saints. His positioning, reactions and decision making are mental
I can understand teams with world class players trying to play out from the back but at Championship level it causes absolute havoc. Why bother? Just go long - snobbery won't win matches!
Bazunu is a disaster. I don’t know why clubs choose to go with young, inexperienced GKs, it rarely ends well. As a Leeds fan, Meslier has been disastrous for us for 3 years and we’re still persevering with him. Getting Bielsa sacked and us relegated seemingly just wasn’t enough. And Burnley are doing the same thing.
Jewison Bennette for ballon D’or
If Messi had done that. It would be all over social media
Don't you mean ballerina D'or
Some said he's still spining 🌀

That triple roulette 😂😂😂
In South America that's an automatic game ending brawl, doing something like that when you're winning 4-0 😂

A fantastic team performance and a great well taken goal from Chris Rigg well done
That ball from Hume to pick out Clarke for the first goal was unbelievable
CHRISS RIGGG--😱😃 GOALLL . Well done Lad Keep Upping Ya Game
The last goal is ridiculous, 3 Cruyff turns by Bennette to lose the defender and get the cross in.
They aren’t Cruyff turns.

What an entertaining football from Sunderland!!!😩⚽
What an assist
que buena jugada y asistencia de Bennette
Top performance, went into this expecting a loss and played a very strong team off the park #FTM
Don't ever go into a match expecting to loss. Trust the team!
Superb analysis and presentation on how Tony Mowbray took down Southampton's plan to play against us.
I Love You Sunderland
I am a Sunderland fan from Derby, so I also follow Derby County!

Bizarre coz we're normally the team with 2/3 possession and nothing to show for it.
In all Southampton book stores now..'How Not To Defend' as a Pro Footballer'.....author...Mason Holgate.
"Pierre, tu étais exceptionnel aujourd'hui. Nous sommes heureux que tu aimes Sunderland."
Hope you love Holgate ! Enjoy ! - Everton Fan
That kid during the walk out. Awesome to see

Slow start to the season by sunderland. But this should get them going
Evertonian here, I am happy we got rid of Holgate. I called him the walking red card. Sorry Southampton fans for that.
Was relegated to league 1 with Sunderland too. Useless

As a Newcastle fan this is very conflicting. Hate seeing Sunderland succeed but at the same time want them to come up so we can beat up on them.
Mason Holgate is arguably one of the worst defenders I have ever seen, Easily equally worse with Maguire but can’t expect much from a Everton loanee
If you knew his family connections you'd know how he was a pro footballer
