    If you don't know what gear you have and there's no tag on the diff cover, you gotta do what you gotta do. So, you did a good job showing folks how to do it. Nice job, bro.

      Can’t always rely on the tags…. People regear… sell, buy and do t even ask until they in it.

    That's cool, I didn't know you could figure it out by counting rings. Helpful as I just so happen to have a J-10 I've been curious about. From the factory the book says I should have 4.10 gears, but you never know.

      Right? 50yrs is a long time… could had always been regeared at some point.
