Japan has that worn look but yet manages to still be clean. Also the quiet narrow alleys and streets are lovely. I wouldn't mind to get lost on purpose if I ever went there. I love that about Japan.
It's so relaxing watching your vides - no cutting, no unnecessary zooming in and out and no sudden panning shots - one becomes totally absorbed and quickly and effortlessly feeling like a virual tourist.
I used to work in Sugamo and live in Ikebukuro and walked between them regularly. I've been feeling sort of homesick lately so I was so excited to see this route posted. Thank you!
👈 your videos are always so beautiful..!! 16:30 hehehe nice Tom and Jerry? ..🐱 & 🐭 thx a lot for all your effort.. keep making the great videos..!👍🙋♀️
Thanks for continuing to share these videos, Rambalac! Also grateful you're still using a real camera - not one of those tiny ones with bad imaging sensors. The 4K60p footage looks fantastic!
Sugamo is a great place to experience old-fashioned Japanese life in my opinion. Went there for once, and fell in love with that place right away. I remember there is a nice Japanese dessert store at one entrance of the Sugamo shopping street, and their daifuku was so delicious and cheap. Many people were in a line for purchasing desserts there. U can feel another sort of lifestyle in Sugamo, which you cannot find in Tokyo's concrete jungle. Warm and peaceful place.
More amazing content. Thank you for all your videos. I will be in Tokyo in 2 weeks for Hanami. Would like to thank you in person by buying you a beer or onigiri. Keep up the great work.
Just started watching your videos recently and always noticed the tactile bricks for the visually impaired across Japan. Today's Google doodle is for Seiichi Miyake, the Japanese inventor who created these tactile bricks.
Always a joy to watch your views of Tokyo. My favourite memories are always of female voices over the loudspeakers in shopping districts. Pure entertainment just listening to them
Oh my god how adorable is that mum with her little kid at 2:58. The little girl’s just bouncing all over the place and the mum’s just trying to hang on.
thanks! For a few years I lived just a block from where you walked, near the tram, and it was fun to see familiar streets there and between Sugamo and Otsuka stations especially
Another awesome walk. Thanks for making these. If you're looking for suggested locations: Dobuita Street on the SW side of the bay. It was the setting for a popular video game called Shenmue, and I bet a lot of folks (me included!) would love to see what that place looks like in your style.
Three years ago I was in Tokyo for a study tour. My class visited the Kōganji Temple and spent some time in the surrounding area. Our hotel was in Ikebukuro. Your video brought back nice memories when I wandered the streets during free time. Thank you.
Nice to compare Sugamo street 2/2019 and 2/2023 - both 👍👍!! Tram always cool, but there was a cute cat-bonus 😽💖 in 2019, and in contrast the day-night Ikebukuro, so vivid, full of colors, lights and people 🏙🤗 !
Very cool walk. Liked 2 moments, one time was interesting view on railway with zoom, another was bigger open place with fantastic skyscrapers. Last one was very cool looking old city shop on the corner. Thank you Rambalac for such stunning video, it was best present for my birthday.
A very cool precinct area -neat and rural feel.Unique styles of houses. From the quiet street to the busy street of Tokyo.A place full of surprises.❤💙💚💛💜Loved it!

The softness of 'noisy' Japan streets is always a pleasure to hear. Thanks again for this relaxing footage 🇯🇵

The approach to Ikebukuro Station brought back memories of when I lived in that area 1998-99. 懐かしい...
Walk through alleys in Japan looks very interesting. Good video 👍🏻😊
Such a joy, just to walk through the streets with genuine ambient sounds! THANK YOU!!

Love these videos of Tokyo city! Thanks a lot :)
Took a trip to Tokyo about a year ago and walked this same area. Went to the arcade across the street from the shrine in the beginning.

It's a joy to see how many people have plants outside their homes, the little houses by the train tracks were expecially nice.

I like these small, quiet Alleys in between the big, noisy Streets.
I like them too. Whenever I'm in Japan, I love to walk all those side streets and alleys, away from the main streets.
@@bartlomiejadamus84 Do you like the architecture there?

It will take forever to walk through all this wonderful streets.. but looks like it would worth it
Compared to a City like Munich this is a wellness trip. It's kinda crowded, yes, but not really noisy, kinda relaxing somehow...
