Renovating can be totally overwhelming, particularly at the beginning. Hopefully you'll find a good company and once you start you'll gain a bit of momentum from that. I found that a lot of tradespeople can recommend people too which also helps things to move along even tho I know you want to do a lot of the stuff yourselves. I found a builder to convert my garage after a conversation with the plumber who was installing my bathroom. He also was a dab hand at plastering so he repaired my kitchen wall too.

We had a plumber come to redo our boiler for us, and he came with an electrician, and he was pretty good!! Love that!! Yeah I think there will be some things where I definitely wouldn’t do myself - like plastering most of the rooms etc! 🙃🤣
