      replying 4--6 months late... but what's modulating?

    • @TheSnipersJourney
      @TheSnipersJourney 9 років тому

      Zelinity It basicly means to regulate or adjust to a certain level, and in this case it's the sound ;)

    • @Tranxhead
      @Tranxhead 9 років тому +6

      Zelinity More precisely, it is to change the key of a song by changing the pitch of some or all of the melodies and harmonies. In the final choruses of some songs (like this one), it is common to move the key up to create a climactic or uplifted effect.

    is this a direct parody of save the world by swedish house mafia?

    • @gratiamop
      @gratiamop 9 років тому +21

      lendial yes

    • @camedarus
      @camedarus 9 років тому +51

      lendial I'd say it's more a parody of the current state of dance music and electronic hit songs in general. Swedish House Mafia popularized this style, but the scene's become so over-saturated with all artists making almost carbon copies of each other. Even SHM founder Steve Angello has said that all dance music sounds the same nowadays.

    • @salmjak
      @salmjak 9 років тому +10

      André Johnsson It is a direct parody of save the world by swedish house mafia. You can tell by their accent and content of the video.
      Just the same that "Olé Olé" is a direct parody of danza kuduro (both music videos have identical intros).

    • @camedarus
      @camedarus 9 років тому +23

      salmjak I'm not disputing that they've made a parody of Save The World by Swedish House Mafia, but they're parodying so much more than just that one song within the parody.

    fun video. it reminded me a lot of lonely island's 'when will the bass drop' which i saw earlier. but then kollektivet's video was done a year before the one by lonely island. i find value in both videos and really don't care that much about some striking similarities between them. it's 2014, this is the internet and if someone expects art & entertainment to be crazy original every time, well, they should think again. i was actually contemplating on the possibility of them not knowing at all of each other's existence.. is that possible? if not, i think it'd be nice if lonely island gave kollektivet credit if they got inspred by them somehow. or maybe they gave them, i don't know. i do care about that
