As someone who has seen the durability ,efficiency and deadliness of these arrows up close ,I will say, without a doubt, these are the finest arrows I have ever seen.
Thad ... Its men like you that will ensure our species will survive if we have an apocalypse type of moment..... These are proven ways to feed your family .... Without modern tech ... God bless you sir ... Ive been with ya since the beginning brother ....
It's funny when I was 12 I found primitive archer and Jay Massey and tbb's. And you guys wrote them when you were my age now.41. and the stuff you guys are doing now has put me thirty years in the future in knowledge. I can't be more thankful for you men. Thank you
Yeah perfect analogy .You have to learn the craft.Yes to take your time is parramount.I also beleive on foreshafts too.Best video I have seen Old school Richie
Great video. The emphasis on strength integrity and smooth transition from point to shaft as a key to optimizing penetration is very well shown and explained in this video. Your attention to detail is to be commended. Excellent job on subject matter and production. Always enjoy your videos.
Thank you. You are much better with words than me. I sometimes struggle to find the right words. I paid more attention to history class than english. Thanks again.
I've been watching a lot of tutorials about arrow making. I'm gonna try to craft my own. I'm gonna use your shaft technique, add some spoon tips, add foam fletching. I'm going to use carpet thread. Kinda old meets new. I'll let you know how it works. I made my own longbow. 😏
Always love your videos, The video you made a long time ago. Full circle got me into primitive bow hunting and I never look back love your videos and keep them coming
Glad to see you making videos again. Your videos got me interested in primative skills. I've always checked in from time to time hoping you had a new video. For some reason i always see that rabbit cooking in that soapstone bowl, keep the videos coming.
I remember back in the mid 70;s I had a full blood Cherokee tell me that the barbed arrowheads were for war and the Bayou Goula type were for hunting, the Bayou Goula could be pulled out of the animal and reused.

Omg theres so much more to arrows than most people know . you showed that with the crude bow good arrows segment on one of your older dvds ! Im gonna buy the fire hardened bows ine today i think ....

Yes native people used many types of blunts. Skipping arrows on water for fowl. The diversity in arrows and arrow points and blunts that native people used was great.

Do you think a 100lb hickory flatbow is achievable? 2 inch wide limbs
@@tonymaurice4157 Yes. I once made an 80 pound hickory bow. I don't really know why just experimenting. I hunt with a 46 pound bow it does the job.

I used to work with you at Gulfstream D419 Tommy
Great video! I’m going to try this on my next set of arrows. Where did you get the pot that’s behind you on the table if you don’t mind me asking?
I have a gourd bowl, a small clay bowl and a wood bowl on the table. I made them all.
Very nice! I make primitive pottery and always enjoy seeing it.
Hey That I have a lot of red maple in the swamp behind my house do they make a good bow wood?
I would not use it myself. Seems to grow twisted. I have never liked it.
Hi Beckum , can you make a bow out of elm tutorial? Thnks for your posts!
It will be the same as using hickory. I plan on making some bows soon. Maybe I can slide an elm in my project.

Hey bud. You mean he hasn't thrown you out of his camper yet? I still think he needs to lose some weight, lol!
