"In My Life has been a favorite Beatles tune of mine for most of my life. In fact, I've programmed it into a handful of public events across my life that have signified some sort of ending for me and others involved. It's somewhat fitting that I also release this at the end of a year as we look back and forward.
Like many other pop arrangements, this one started mostly improvised. I enjoyed finding some substitute harmonies here and there, so you'll hear verses alternate between the original harmonic structure and also these changes. It's subtle, but I think makes the repetitive, strophic, form a bit more interesting over the course of this instrumental version.

At first I thought it was too slow. Then after hearing it a couple of times, I realized you've made that harpsichord part sound so that it fits. Originally, it was jarring and out of place with the tenor of the piece. Nice work. You've out done George Martin. And that segue...man. Sweet.
