@@tutenvanman2715 That was just a completely random and pointless comparison. Why didn't you compare them to the London Philharmonic while you were at it?
Three albums I played most in the period 1983 to 85 were REM Murmur, Rain Parade Emergency Third Rail Power Trip and The Long Ryders Native sons. All of which still sound fucking awesome
I hate to say but until today I don’t believe I had heard them. Hearing them now I just feel like how did I miss on this back as a young teen. Anyhow great stuff here and I am so happy I didn’t miss out on these guys entirely.
What a great band! I saw them many times in L.A. back in the day. This might sound strange, but I think if they had made the move to incorporate a little more of a country sound, then they might have been the logical successors to The Eagles. That is, if they even cared about that sort of popular success.
Long Ryders are the most under-rated band of all time!
+6
I love this group but the creation and the zombies were more original and even better
@@tutenvanman2715 you can not compare The Long Ryders with these bands of the 60s

Not underrated by People that know & understand Great Music.
The song that made me notice this gem of a band back in the 80's. Lovely guitars. Rest in Peace, Tom Stevens

One of my favourite bands ❤
I can hear the Byrds influence. That 12-string guitar sound of Roger McGuinn.
With the always fantastic Gene Clark on backing vcals!

More like the byrds than the eagles?
The Eagles? Yikes!
Why would anyone want to sound as horrible as The Eagles?
Ok
