I admit that when I was a child, my mom telling me that Israel stole the land was something I took with a pinch of salt. And only now am I really learning the history, and most of all, from the Jewish historians who work hard to document and tell us the truth even though it pains them. My late teacher used to say, never write off what the Jews say. Sometimes they speak the truth and they will give you amazing insights. But sometimes they will lie, but even within those lies, like what IDF accuses Hamas of doing, is the truth - about what they are doing to the Palestinians.

I was born in a Christian home, but started questioning the hypothetical nature of the relationship a long time ago. It's amazing this umma of ours. We may be weak but our hearts are linked. Am a Nigerian and everyday in salat in sujud or just doing house chores or driving, Gaza is always in my dua including all Muslim communities suffering oppression. I feel helpless but I know that my dua and the duas of millions of Muslims and good hearted non Muslims will never go to waste.

Lessons learned from the past is that oppresion never lasts!
I admit that when I was a child, my mom telling me that Israel stole the land was something I took with a pinch of salt. And only now am I really learning the history, and most of all, from the Jewish historians who work hard to document and tell us the truth even though it pains them. My late teacher used to say, never write off what the Jews say. Sometimes they speak the truth and they will give you amazing insights. But sometimes they will lie, but even within those lies, like what IDF accuses Hamas of doing, is the truth - about what they are doing to the Palestinians.
These agrees with the Quran. Some are truthful and others untruthful.
Not Jews, but Zionists. It’s important to distinguish between them
I was ignorant abt how horrible it was Western media. But somehow , GAZA open my eyes bigger then ever. It made me want to know more abt Palestine and with God permission will dedicate myself to help the ppl.

I was born in a Christian home, but started questioning the hypothetical nature of the relationship a long time ago. I use to see Islam as the tagged placed on the religion by westerners in an attempt to cover the truth and devided the world. But though i am not a religious person at the moment, the most disciplined people i have met are Muslims, and also the people of Thailand are also very peaceful. I understand your response, although I was talking from a religious point.. but since you brought medicine, let me bring you to date on some things you may not know. But the westerners came to Africa, Africans lived longer because we are natural and we ate real food, with very little decease. Then, some people came with tricks and looted our heritage.. so yes, the west brought some different things not necessarily the best, but in doing so, the amount of damages done to the planet, animals, plants and humans in general makes it almost impossible to see the good in all the west has done. You see, the problem is you feel you know too much because you read books only just get paid and earn a living. There is more to this life. A lot of progress has come at the irreversible and wanton degradation of the environment and the decimation of the indigenous people. More people were killed in the wars started by the west in the twentieth century than all the previous wars combined. I'm including all of Europe and the North America in my definition of the west.

So so happy that the average person has now heard of Palestine I cannot explain the torture I felt back in 2017 explaining to my colleagues (UK) I was going to Palestine and no one had heard of it I had to say Jeruselum (couldnt bring myself to say the Isnotreal) but sadly they had only heard of they who shouldn't be named. Alhamdulilah one silver lining everyone knows PALESTINE now.
Allah exposed them right as they were trying to wipe out the last strip of Palestine (Gaza). They planned to make the world forget Palestine and the Palestinians ever existed but more people than ever are remembering Palestine and the Palestinian people.

Salaam Shaykh Omar, We must remember that when people try to put us down it’s not because they are insulting you what it is,is the accuser is reflecting his or her inadequacy onto you. To explain what they’re saying to you is, their rhetoric is about them it’s because they are saying it’s them who are all the things they are accusing you of. So their abuse to you is their own abuse about themselves not you. The sad thing is they don’t know it or they know it but don’t want to accept or admit it.

It's amazing this umma of ours. We may be weak but our hearts are linked. Am a Nigerian and everyday in salat in sujud or just doing house chores or driving, Gaza is always in my dua including all Muslim communities suffering oppression. I feel helpless but I know that my dua and the duas of millions of Muslims and good hearted non Muslims will never go to waste.

Just one suggestion, its really distracting and difficult to keep the focus when the camera keeps zooming in and out, keeps shifting from Shaykh Omar Suleiman to the interviewer, or the random split screen view every few seconds. It looks choppy and is not needed, esp when it is not much of a back and forth conversation. It would be a lot better if the camera is left on Shaykh Omar Suleiman for the whole interview.

Because of Gaza, I finally understand the meaning of the hadith. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever” (Sahīh Muslim). My heart breaks.
