The opening sequence for Severance is one of the most memorable openings in my opinion. Great music and visuals. I also gained more respect for the intro after finishing the first season, you start to notice details and symbolism you hadnt before. Its a masterclass in tv show intros
I love the "British, hippy, knitwear, graphic T shirt" style aesthetic found in the might boosh. I don't think it has a name, but you can find it in the video 100 YEARS / STYLE / EAST LONDON at the 1:17 timestamp.
I like daredevil and jessica one op but dont remember other ops for marvel netflix shows. I like how in anime doesn't really suffer from this even today, in fact anime op's could be their own art forms
I disagree about the Walking Dead sequence. Not everything has to be successive flashy imagery to convey a feeling and it is a feeling of solemnity, destitution and drought to the aftermath of the invasion that its frozen imagery tells very well in stillness. The pace is extremely successful in communicating the dread, and a breath of fresh air to be honest, at a time when all we have is seizure inducing visuals. There’s nothing “low budget” about the thought and concept behind the result. It’s obvious to me they thought it out despite its simplicity.
I like police dramas like CSI, NCIS, Criminal Minds, etc. And they have nice opening, only using clips from the shows, a good song, and the title texts, you may call that lazy, however, they actually show you who are the main characters, which actor is which, and give you a glimpse of what to expect, but recently, they've been embracing the horrible sample text big Title, and it sucks, it's boring, you're not telling me anything, if I hadn't watch the trailer, or read the description, I wouldn't know.
Those openings work if they are done well. Friends had titles for all the actors. I think those openings were more common a one or two decades ago, less so nowadays
Not one I'm familiar with. The visuals and editing are very good, although I wouldn't say the music is very memorable. But it's one of the better animated openings

Haven't seen the show, but that is a good one. Very bizarre, a good example of an intro that is fully animated but still interesting
7:10 Unfortunately in the most recent seasons of the Simpsons they will often skip both the intros and couch gags now.
The xfiles opening is so perfect, the show following it rarely captures the same paranormal mood even when said show is a really good one.
The xfiles, sherlock, good omens, and what we do in the shadows opening are so good.
That's a good one, I immediately remembered the soundtrack as soon as I read the name
Six Feet Under had an opening I'd never skip. Deadwood the same. I'd always sit through the 'Halt & Catch Fire' opening also.

Long time no see, glad to see you back!
I appreciate you sticking around. I started a new job a few months ago which has taken up most of my time
@@onwardsandupwards547 I wish you all the best in your new job! Just no stress!
neon genesis evangelion intro 🔛🔝
May I suggest Police Squad! as one of the best openings? Love the channel, keep it up!

The Practice's intro is iconic. 😉

What about True Detective and Sons of Anarchy? :)

My favourite from the last few years is probably Severance. Both the visuals and the music.

Wow, the Marvel title openings feel phoned in? Just like... all of the shows themselves.
Thoughts on the Outlander intro (season 1)?
MONKEYDUST. That's all I'm saying.
Can i have your thoughts on the American Gods opening?
Not one I'm familiar with. The visuals and editing are very good, although I wouldn't say the music is very memorable. But it's one of the better animated openings
The Pacific might have been ass, but it had a great intro.
You want good openings, anime is kinda the king of that, not just One Piece, and no anime sticks with just one opening
I'm sorry but I had to stop watching when you started to diss the Daredevil opening. It rules.
