He is a Great singer but he just sounds like Frank Sinatra and they are both incredibly easy to imitate. There are a lot of men today who sound Exactly like them.

When working late setting up at show stand at the NEC b'ham, was playing my tracks on sound system, this came on... a couple of youngish stand fitters came over said "turn off this old crap, put on some rock".. they then heard the lyrics! and stayed for the rest of the song...singing along as well!

Its a totally different take on the song - it swings instead of rocks, etc, but it has its own integrity. Of course, its totally ironic which is something Nirvana understood, too - but from a different angle. This also felt sleazy, but in a really good way.

The very idea that someone like Paul Anka would even think to cover this song is mind-blowing. Which means that either the joke is on Anka for thinking that he of all people could get this song by this man. Or maybe its Paul who knows how un-cool he is and this is his joke. The that I can't still decide, is yet another reason why I love this song.
