The Yacht Club is our favorite resort! Ale & Compass is not always our favorite lol. But it always has reservations open, so that’s a plus lol. Thank you for sharing! The Yacht Club is always beautiful! Cheers! 💙💛
It's a beautiful resort and feels so cozy, especially at Christmas time and of course you can't beat the distance to the parks. It's not bad at all but not the best lol Thank you for watching.
Hi Sam and Jay! We love Ale and Compass for breakfast 🧇😋🥞 The Yacht Club is probably our favorite resort during Christmas time 🎄❤️⛵️ Thank you so much for bringing us along! Wishing each and everyone a Wonderful Holiday Season 🤗🤗
Hello ❤, can definitely see why this would be your favorite resort during the Holidays. Especially with that train! Thanks so much for your support. Hope you.had/have the best Holiday and New Year 🙂.
Great Vlog, as always 👍 We love the Ale and Compass breakfast as well but haven't eaten there for lunch or dinner, so thank you for sharing. We have seen a few Vlogs of the Lunch service, and they used to have a cheese toastie and tomato soup menu item that looked amazing , so may try lunch there on our next Orlando visit .
I agree with you on the Seafood Pot Pie! Unfortunately, I think the lemon and the extra cream in the bisque threw me off. I also think I didn't get the best iteration. The crab bisque I had was very cream heavy. Tasted more cream and lemon than anything. Happy you enjoyed your meal though 🙂. Thanks for the comment!
This was an option for our trip in January, so Im glad we didn't choose this after watching your video. Lemon with a cream based soup is strange just because lemon and milk/cream will make buttermilk. Mondays are always a little bit better after a Sam and Jay video.
I know some Greek Soups use lemon and they've just never been for me. Breakfast here is superior in our opinion. This meal wasn't bad but there's better options to be found in the area. We feel incredibly lucky to be apart of your Mondays 🙂. Thanks so much for your support.
I went to Ale and Compass two weeks ago for breakfast. They changed the menu slightly and increased the price. The waffle and chicken is now a savory waffle. Also, they had seasonal French toast. The dark cherry waffles are still there.
I wish they didn't increase the price because when we went it was a solid deal. Hope you still liked your meal despite the changes. This was one of our favorites on property when we went. Thanks for the heads up 🙂.
Happy New Year! Wishing you a beautiful year ahead full of love and delicious food! I've never had much interest In going to Ale and Compass - and now I'm really not interested I do enjoy the atmosphere of the lounge I had a wonderful dinner at Yachtsman a few years ago before covid - memorable prime rib and chocolate cake - but don't know how it is currently My upcoming Orlando dates are set now. - I arrive the afternoon of January 4th and leave the morning of the 11th Know you guys are super busy but do let me know if we can say hi sometime in there - Wishing you wonderful travels and a fun and fulfilling 2025!
Happy New Year! We are so excited to see what is instore for 2025. Ale & Compass has some hits, but also some misses, definitely not a must do destination. We have to give Yachstman another shot, it's been 4 years. Ahh you'll be here so soon. Do you have any park days ? We'll be filming in Epcot on the 8th and will be at Springs on the 10th.
@ThemeParkFoodies hi! Sadly no park days but I am there till the 11th - could possibly work out time on the 10th What is your schedule like? Let me know
1 out of 10!! Dude you should have hurled it into the trash can like you did that coffee last year!! All kidding aside, I laughed my a off when you originally did that!
I've had both and these, in my opinion, taste just like the Boathouse. Boathouse is a tad sweeter because they have the honey but it's essentially the same thing. This meal.was close to $200 for two people. In my opinion, not including bread feels cheap. I can eat at Peter Lugar's Steakhouse in NYC for less and get a better meal that includes bread. For what it's worth id be willing to pay for the dips and the rolls were good. Thank you 🙂 Have a happy New Year!
I'm surprised at the dinner experience! Especially since breakfast was good. I wonder if this will be worth a later re-visit and re-evaluation. I appreciate the bread service bit - automatically deducts points! ;) Was this also our first '1' - I can't recall?
We were a bit surprised too! I don't think I've ever seen Jay give food back ever in my life haha There were still some good things that would make us go back. I think it might be the first 1!!!
We tried the Parker House Rolls when we were last there for supper a couple years ago. Enjoyed the citrus butter better than the cheese. The bacon jam??? No idea. I handed it to Pop (89 years old at the time). He used the little spoon in it to eat it- all of it!!! So at least he loved it. But not crazy about the changes in menu (no Vermont Cheddar burger😢).
Coffee milk is a Rhode Island thing. It's like our equivalent to chocolate milk. You can get the syrup and add it to milk. Autocrat is the main brand. They give it to kids here which might be why everyone is addicted to Dunkin iced coffee by middle school 😂
This was a little disappointing. I had a higher hopes for them. The yacht club is the first hotel we truly stayed at. We hotel hopped during our wedding, but when we went down in 2021 we stayed there for a week and nothing was open sadly so we never got to try anything. We were talking about what restaurant to eat at when we come down in November we were talking about the yachtsman steakhouse but honestly, I think flying fish might be the way to go.
@themeparkfoodies Although the Boathouse rolls are tasty and included in the price of your meal, they are not Parker House rolls. Those fries looked good!
@ see my response to another comment. Those are not Parker house rolls. They’re honey glazed rolls. Not to be a pedantic MA native , but there’s a difference

thanks Johnny boy! We love you :)

Thank you so much. The breakfast is one of the best on property for sure. Oooo we have to try that lunch menu out.
Definitely recommend the blue crab bisque, we also got the seafood pot pie, pretty solid, just a tad bit salty!
@ weird! when i had it, it was rich, crabby and creamy, not a hint of sour, so it must be an off batch :)
Do you brûlée lol we have only been there for lunch and we enjoyed it! They have the best wedge salad I ever had
We'll have to try it next time! Thanks for the suggestion 🙂. Happy you had a great lunch here ❤.
Have a great New Year guys x
Happy New Year!!!
A favorite of ours. We go for New Year’s Eve dinner if we are visiting.
What a fun tradition!
it's on our list. thanks
Let us know what you think!

hahaha the Cheshire Pumpkin Coffee will live in infamy. If there was a trash can nearby, he may have used it lol Luckily, we gave it back :)
Every vlogger skips the cobbler! That cobbler is one of the best desserts at WDW.
Oh no! We'll definitely get it next time. I feel like Cobbler isn't a dessert that sticks out but its usually great. Thanks for the suggestion 🙂.
You guys are spot-on on the bread service. Boathouse has the same rolls for free and enhancements should be an extra $10 if you want.
Have a HNY
Yeah, those aren’t Parker House rolls. They’re honey glazed rolls.
@@standpoint_ I thought they were both yeast based rolls, at least I know the Boat House serves yeast based rolls. What type are the other ones then?
I've had both and these, in my opinion, taste just like the Boathouse. Boathouse is a tad sweeter because they have the honey but it's essentially the same thing. @@ThemeParkFoodies thanks for the comment! Are you guys going to hit Epic Universe next year?
Cool review. In regards to the bisque, lemon and cream never really go that well together. Keep those things separate in my opinion..
Thank you! I agree with you on the soup. I know some people like Lemon Drop Soup and that some Greek soups use lemon but it's not for me either.
I'm surprised at the dinner experience! Especially since breakfast was good. I wonder if this will be worth a later re-visit and re-evaluation. I appreciate the bread service bit - automatically deducts points! ;) Was this also our first '1' - I can't recall?

Pop had the right idea 😂
Oh my. Jay's face at the bisque is very telling. I hope you mentioned it to your waiter, because something in it may have accidentally spoiled.
We did & they took it off the bill 😊
Coffee milk is a Rhode Island thing. It's like our equivalent to chocolate milk. You can get the syrup and add it to milk. Autocrat is the main brand. They give it to kids here which might be why everyone is addicted to Dunkin iced coffee by middle school 😂
Between that and all the coffee ice cream, I think you’re on to something.
I think I need to move to RI!
This was a little disappointing. I had a higher hopes for them. The yacht club is the first hotel we truly stayed at. Yeah, we had higher hopes too! We haven't been to Yachtsman since 2021, so I am hoping it got better but you can never go wrong with Flying Fish!!!!
How are the food and decor there?😊😊
Pretty good, but the bread was the best part :)
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Parker House Roll given for free, especially with the dips.
They do at BoatHouse 😊
@themeparkfoodies Although the Boathouse rolls are tasty and included in the price of your meal, they are not Parker House rolls. Those fries looked good!
Gotcha, they seemed very similar. i think a restaurant at a deluxe resort can give away some rolls, but maybe I’m asking too much 😂
Can’t expect free bread service with Parker House rolls. You have to pay for them even at Omni Parker House.
BoatHouse at Disney Springs does.
@ see my response to another comment. Those are not Parker house rolls. They’re honey glazed rolls. Not to be a pedantic MA native , but there’s a difference
Gotcha! They’re still complimentary and very good. Love that during brunch they have a delicious cinnamon icing.
I pray it didn't make you sick
The bread should have been free. $14 is ridiculous.
The bisque……😮…….🤢……I hope they didn’t make you pay for it
We gave it back & they took it off the bill 😊
