- Michael Reid, the 21-year-old youth from St James who cried on video asking for help after losing his job, has been able to start poultry farming.
After the video went viral, Reid said numerous persons, especially from overseas, have reached out to him and offered help, and for that, he is very grateful.

The same day I saw this video I started to pray for him. God is good and he answers prayers. God understood his tears and he saw his need. Thank you jesus for sending help. Very intelligent young man. I wish for all young men across Jamaica to take an example from this young man and make this place a better place.

I'm walking in the same shoes as this brother, I'm from West Kingston and the community is doing down hill, I have friends I've seen gone to the dust with the violence in the community, i built a 23×14 coop and is half way there, I'm trying my best to keep myself from going down the wrong road but it's hard with "nothing to do"....all we as young youths need is Opportunity "A chance" and I can guarantee my country Jamaica will be a better place. We Need Help!

I can identify with Michael. Although I never got involved in criminal activities I had the same feeling of despair and resignation at one time when I couldn't get a job. I had relocated from NY to Florida. It was very tough. God is good. Don't give up. Remember to pay it forward when you're able to.

This young man is brave enough to come out and ask for help because he was getting desperate and I was so worried that he was going to get himself in trouble so the best that I could have been was to circulate the video on Facebook. He had no contact # so he was hard to reach. So those of you who are in the same situation don't be afraid to ask for help and don't forget to leave a contact # so we can reach out to you

Just love the way this unfolding what happening I walked in his shoes of desperation minus the wrong of the track nevertheless I remember my cross road daily especially then I see how was leading in his pathway , I often revisited those darkest moments . This 1 was 1980 no job and I went to this little corner shop while looking at the glass case I asked for a cake then checking my pocket and come up short not enough to get the bulla cake looking back in 1980 that was cheap , many other low moment even escape attacks from criminals all of this took in Kingston ,Looking back then at the moment God gets my praised for been my shield and hiding place.
