Hey bro listen I messed I think. I had a 3 gallons of aqua regia I add ferrous sulfate to it. But it seemed like it didn't work so I used a little lye. And cemented iron and other. I took brown sludge added HCL and turned green. But there's grey sludge at the bottom it takes forever to strain. Do you think if I added aqua regia to the sludge I can get back my gold. Sorry I don't else to ask and your really good at this I would appreciate it. Thanks

3 gallons of aqua regia? What are your gold source? From electronics? Or from gold ore? But anyway, when you add iron sulfate you need to stir longer, allow the gold to precipitate, be patience, the problem here you add lye, lye can precipitate all metals, now this time you started to add lye then continue the job by adding lye to completely precipitate all metals then filter, then boil with distelled water multiple times until no more lye then dissolve the precipitate again with hno3 with distelled water 50/50 in ratio then the remaining resedue dissolve to aqua regia.

I took the white sludge that was in the bottom tested it and it came back a little that it was gold. It was was so hard to strain, but then I dissolved it in aqua regia and that's where I'm at now

Sir I got some metals from some ground mineralized stone by Aqua Regia it has gold along with PGM group metals and again Aqua Regia to make the gold pure it left some amount which Also not dissolving in Aqua Regia could they be iridium?

Try to wash it multiple times, then dry it, then add to a beaker covered it with distilled water and add concentrated nitric silver dissolved and you can precipitate with copper bar to cement out silver.
