P.S. Those automatic doors are such a blessing! Omlet seems to have thought about just about everything for a chicken coop. I just LOVE the safety features. And it is the perfect size for your small flock. So happy for you and your girls!

I helped my daughter with 4h chicken projects for several years. After winning nany ribbons at the Fair and 6 years later we are now done with them. Fun to raise them but the coop and a run for them is key. Your new coop is cool. Get a watering system with a float switch. That helps them when you are gone for days.👍

I love you Chicken videos, I have 51 chickens myself and now when I go out side for anything they come running towards me thinking I'm going to give them something. They our amazing bug eaters, we have a bad tick problem up here in PA and since I got them I haven't had a tick on my dog for 3 years now!!!

When I was a youngster I had chickens that had feathers on their feet. My neighbor had chickens that laid natural colored easter eggs green and blue if I remember correctly.
Cool video I enjoyed it! 💯🐔

I got day old chicks the June '21. I never thought that 10 -1= 9 would be a problem. When I saw the first "squat" they did when I was trying to pet them I knew that eggs were coming. They were about 21 to 23 weeks old when they started laying eggs. Well 9 x 7 = 63 eggs (5 dozen +) eggs a week. I dated them with a pencil and of course tried to eat and bake the older eggs. We have brown eggs, two whites birds laying blue eggs. At Christmas I gave a dozen eggs to some of our neighbors so they know what I have if they want more. Keeping them warm in our Canadian winter is really scary, but they are warm in the mornings when they come out to eat. I have my cup of coffee out with them in the Spa Area. Love them.

Free-range and well protected, those birds look really happy. You've made me hungry for a Soufflé Omelette! Separate the white, whisk to stiff, fold in the yolks & cheese (Red Leicester), 2m in the pan, 1 under the grill and if it isn't 3" thick when folded it's a failure!

A suggestion for remainder if your yard.
    1. A magnificent freshwater pond, to house the beautiful invasive fishes you and Gabe catch. Just the good, cichlids, Miidas Oscars and peacock. A Jaguar or a Jack Dempsey would round out the collection as well.
    2. A saltwater pond, to keep inverts and Lion fish, toadies etc. Any thing you like to look at or grow out.
Just my thoughts, as I am as passionate about fishing and Aquariums as the both of you!
    3: build both ponds!
    4. I was into small reptiles and mammal when I was younger Nice cages could be kept outside year round down my you. I wish, I'm up in CHI. "Wanna keep it, have it inside by end of Sept"!
    Thank you, LennyK

Lots of possibilities, your backyard is huge. Also, almost forgot. I had 12 Runner Ducks a few years back, they were mailed to me. As soon as I opened the box, they all immediately. They would follow me in a long line, where ever i went, even into basement. If I would forget to close gate, they would try and jump into car as well!

That's when the fluffing comes in handy and when you finish fluffing them they flap their wings and shake it off good. It is funny to watch.LOL
