I've been closely watching the mariners since 2018 and I think right now, there is no doubt in my mind that we'll make the playoffs this year. We've gotten so close last year, and just seeing the progression of the organization and the players, we're at the dawn of a golden age for the mariners. In my experience (since 2018) it's played out a lot like a movie.
Progression this year was near similar to 2018. A new era has arrived and it’s brighter than ever.
@@Visious05 Not really. It's actually kind of the opposite. 2018 was a bloated payroll filled with old players who were good but not great. This year the team is filled with young studs who have the potential to be truly great, and the payroll space to go with it.

Yeah, he's a special assignment coach for them. Not sure what that means lol but I know he helps with drafting and evaluating prospects.
I liken Dipoto and the Mariners to when Pete took over the Seahawks. Pete changed the entire culture of the organization into what it is currently viewed: A top 5 organization.
While the Mariners executives and ownership in constant dysfunction, the Ray of Light in Jerry Dipoto and Scott Servias we trust.
seahawks haven’t been viewed as a top 5 team at the beginning or end of the season since 2015

Dipoto is a class act, but he's walking a tight rope in the game of making the playoffs
