Kinda sad that Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games is no longer a thing. Got some fond memories of the original and the 2012 Winter Olympics. When I was playing these mods I was thinking about of a really cool idea of a Sonic and Mario crossover. They could make it almost like Generations, but Mario goes through Sonic themed levels reworked while Sonic goes through past mario stages. Then maybe have some stages where you can play as both at once. Would be fire. 🔥
All jokes aside, this is honestly really making me want a proper Mario & Sonic platformer crossover. The amount of stuff they could do with such a thing would be absolutely nuts lol
Honestly the level design of SM64 with Sonic in it gives a very Adventure 1 Vibe, being able to spindash to travel through the levels in whatever way you want whether or not the devs intended some paths.
tbch the only thing that bewilders me is how many random ass props they managed to stuff into the slider stage but bob-omb battlefield is completely naked aside from a few flower beds

This is a great way to pay tribute to the Mario and Sonic Olympic series. By combining one Nintendo game to a Sega game from one great game and other thats bad but is getting remade.

bob omb battlefield was one of the first modded stages made for this game(at least for silver release), that’s prolly why
