Just discovered your channel. Just saw storytime, and when you talked about her being sexy. My first thought was. Well wait till you see Romanticide. Either way, Marko sings in both and they are top notch songs. Ever Dream is somewhat emotional for me. Can't put my finger on it, but it might be Floor's passion while singing it. Not that she doesn't put passion on everything she does, but her high notes also get to me.
And of course Song Of Myself has a very powerful chorus and a killer ending.

I was interrested how/if you like this song. 😉 "Romanticide" is one of the really hard songs from NW, i also like this song very much and now when i know you like this harder style i can't wait for you reaction from "Song of myself!" This is one of my personal top 5 NW songs, in the way or between of Romanticide and Storytime, i think on Gabriels list it's the naxt or the song after the next one . And now you hear Marco for the first time, i love Marco and Floor singing together! But he has some songs for his own, "The Islander" or "Why your lips are still red" as example. They sing in many songs together and that's one reason why i love "Song of myself" so much! Such a great song!

Floor has a very large vocal range. She also can hit Death range. I only know of 1 song but, can't remember the name off hand.
Floor and Marco are awesome together. They compliment each others voice. You noticed in this song (towards the end) Marco peaked and Floor took that note an octave higher.
Marco left the band last year sighting a few reasons. It was mainly (in his words) due to how its not about the musicians and more about advertisements. We all are hoping he returns. I believe he will. 😎👍
Couldn't agree with you more. Marco is a great vocalist in his own right and is the recent winner on the Finnish version of the Masked Singer. He and Floor sound so good together as you will see in some Nightwish videos. I know that you are following Gabriel's list and coming up soon is the song The Islander on which Marco is the lead vocalist. There is some sad news I have to share with you. Marco recently announced that he was stepping away from Nightwish for the current tour. Not sure if this is permanent or not but he will be missed and I hope he will return in the future. Nothing is more important than your own well being and if that means taking a break then you need to take a break.
I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think Marko's coming back. Marko never said or suggested that, and neither did Nightwish.

Floor herself says she has a "dog" (homely) and "wolf" (traveling and performing) persona. Here you really see her "wolf" persona. You also see it reflected in the female audience..... Wonderfull...

They can do it because they are a good rock and roll band. However, what you will not see is anything new. Nightwish has perfected their kind of performance and today they own it. But did you ever see two Rush or Pink Floyd or David Bowie tours that ever looked the same? No. They didn't look or sound the same in any two consecutive tours. And that's just how it goes.…

She is married to Hannes Van Dahl, drummer of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. Together they have a daughter. ( Freja )
Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 4 octaves (Eb2 to F6). Re-singing style ranges from opera to screams and grunts. She usually sings in English, in addition she has also sung songs in Dutch, German, Spanish, Finnish, Latin, Italian and Swedish.
Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg with classmates Jacqueline Govaert and Danny Vera, where she graduated in 2003. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she gave singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016.
From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour. On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she would be the group's regular new front singer. In 2015, Nightwish released the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful with Jansen as lead singer. Nightwish's second studio album with Jansen as front singer, Human. :II: Nature., was released in April 2020.
