Sheet Music - bit.ly/3mAVRGZ
Thanks Mark, beautiful arrangement just purchased a copy, re-inspired me to get back to practicing piano!
@@kaladin8584 thank you I appreciate that
@@markfowlermusic hi, is there a tutorial available?
@@musiqueami4469 unfortunately I only make sheets on this channel but will be probably available as a tutorial in the near future on a different channel I’ll set up as more of a tutorial and sheet channel.
@@markfowlermusic thanks for your answer :) I'm looking forward to your tutorials!
"I believe there is another world waiting for us, Sixsmith, a better world, and I'll be waiting for you there."
ErikJVideos my favorite quote of the movie😍
but they were gay!!! what good in this?i hoped one of them was actually a girl, that would make sense. Allthough, for me it still best quote of the movie and when i hear it it goes so deep in my soul.
But what is gender except a way to procreate. It's not everything.
All boundaries are conventions. Can't they love each other if they're gay ?
Im Geo KD you missed a key part of the movie... it’s not about your physical self it’s about your inner being... your inner spirit....that they always find the same connections throughout history and time...and he was mentioning that in their time they weren’t meant to be together yet so maybe in the next life or the next
9 years later and i still religiously listen to this 💕 one of the best movies
This song is a gift for me. I cry over and over. Because I feel love. So much love. And send my love from anyone who hear it
❤️
❤❤
❤
Love to you as well.❤
10/10 performance of a 10/10 movie. Shame it was completely forgotten by Oscars and criminally underrated.
because the stupids didn't understand it.
Just like the cloud atlas sextet
So unfortunate I definitely looked at a lot of my friends differently when they shamed it because they just didn't understand it at face value.
stock9291 the book is more brilliant... and I love the movie
One of my favourite movies, it’s beautiful.
“Sixsmith. I climb the steps of the Scot monument every morning and all becomes clear. Wish I could make you see this brightness. Don't worry, all is well. All is so perfectly, damnably well. I understand now that boundaries between noise and sound are conventions. All boundaries are conventions, waiting to be transcended. One may transcend any convention if only one can first conceive of doing so. Moments like this, I can feel your heart beating as clearly as I feel my own, and I know that separation is an illusion. My life extends far beyond the limitations of me.”
“I believe we do not stay dead long. Find me beneth the Corsican stars where we first kissed. Yours eternally”
As a human to human I love you fam!!!✌🏼🫶🏼
It's super beautiful
"I understand now that boundaries between noise and sound are conventions. All boundaries are conventions, waiting to be transcended."
"From womb to tomb, we are bound to others. Past and present. And by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future. "
"I'm just trying to understand why we keep making the same mistakes.over and over"
These things were explicitly said and explored in the TV series Babylon 5. Worth a look.
Why do we keep making the same mistakes? We aren't listening, aren't seeing, we usually get distracted at a crucial moment by something irrelevant.
So is this the true order of the world?
Also after watching the movie I do have an answer for her question. The circumstances are what change but time remains the same in a consistent loop.
@@miners8me4lunch
Maybe we are all from a God who wants to teach himself consciousness. After all, who could teach him if not himself since he's a unique being ? The only way would be, I guess, to create an experience where he is not omnipotent or omniscient and learn from his mistakes. Just a theory though, maybe something else entirely.

JESUS IS THE ANSWER.
that`s it ... the music from my dream
me too
I almost cry when I saw your coment
Jacob Cruz Jaimes so did i
This movie made me realize what is to be a human being. I felt more alive than I had before.
HiveQu33n copy here. It is rare for me to read, watch, hear, or feel which bring me to a minute moment of transcendence. For example, the movie to which this masterpiece is a star. I therefore assume that little by little, crumbs by crumbs, something bigger than we are, or maybe us collectively, is revealing some truth we oaught to know, or we ought to be.
I felt the same, I m french and I think people around the world can feel the same
Have i seen you in terence mkcenna talks or john cedars... 😋
How can this song always calm me even in the most stressful periods, even after more than 10 years. Simply amazing.
Watched the movie in a airplane coming back from Europe. That movie really shocked me. I found a copy in blueray and I watched it a dozen times. It really opened my mind to see the fantasy we live in every day.
The book is even better!
Me too:) also in airplane during flying back from Amsterdam
Bet you loved the plane exploding scene 😂
@@leerutter8893 Well, I'll tell you this much: as I remember, that fly was actually the roughest fly I ever had.... very strong turbulences while flying. I remember it was also a brand new 1st fly aircraft....
I Agree
Why every time I hear this song I burst into tears?
Clouds are the only presence on the planet that does not respond to a geometric coordinated pattern just like emotions. The cloud atlas is such a inspiring attempt at offering a logic to it all.
This is like recalling a memory you cannot describe.
Find me beneath the Corsican stars where we first kissed.
Yours truly,
R. F.
Years later... I still come to this video to relive the beauty of Cloud Atlas. This is the best cover of the music....
ME TOO ❤
One of the greatest movies ever made.
Have watched it multiple times and it gets me every time.
Every friggin time.
And the greatest cover to an original score.
Stunning. Absolutely stunning. I was in tears.
Один из не многих фильмов. Оставившей на душе одни эмоций.... Ребята это шедевр.... А музыка,это гениально....
This is undoubtedly the best version of this song.
fucking underrated movie
because you dont understand it ... and people like you are an illness of this world
koby533 he said underrated, not overrated. That means he liked it...
Aaaaaaah sorryyyy i red it bad ... :((( :DDD
is not that it is underrated, we were just not ready for this masterpiece.
lol, koby fail
“I believe death is only a door. One closes, and another opens. If I were to imagine heaven, I would imagine a door opening. And he would be waiting for me there.”
That's why I alway loved getting into new places opening doors...Also in the Matrix when you open a door you enter another dimension and place...My dream..
Makes me burst into tears just reading a quote like now. 😭❤️
This is literally the most beautiful song i have ever heard, it just never gets old!
"Our lives are not our own. From womb to tomb, we are bound to others. Past and present. And by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future." - Somni 451
Thank you, I needed to see this
❤
the most beautiful piano music i've heard in recent years😶🌫
‘Our lives are not our own. We are bound to others, past and present, and by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future.’
I just can’t stop coming back to this track. Beautifully executed 🥰
You know if this is from Hans?
I love how the official song is called "Cloud Atlas Sextet" and it has six parts to it (well 7 parts, but the last part is just a refrain of the beginning), each building off the previous part with ever increasing complexity, just like the movie :)
if you read the book, he describes it in a way that foreshadows the rest of the story
ilesonce sb there's a book to it? Gotta read it haha
I think it’s also named after the love of his life Sixsmith.
Your comment made me finally understand the title of the movie...
This song is amazingly beautiful. I recommend people to read the book, this song will always bring memories of it.
You cannot truly appreciate this piece unless you absolutely understand the story that is expressed repeatedly in the melody. The Cloud Atlas Sextat is a musical mirror or version, if you will, of what we are all born with and all have the ability to...actually listen to our hearts, our gut feelings, our first instincts. That millisecond when we want to help before we judge, care before we kill and love before we hate.
Greenmachine211 t moche
Lol i got it reverse
:D iam ruthless bastard in my essence i guess.
I haven't watch yet the movie. Just saw the trailer but this piece already caught me and next thing I know tears is already running on my cheeks. The soul always know.
I wish we all had more faith and compassion toward our immortal selves. The everlasting light that never fades, even when plunged into darkness and despair. But we let our egos wrest control from the self, and we let ourselves be led astray. We fail to listen to our brightest, most brilliant voice. When our soul shines with kindness and compassion for our fellow souls, we need to realise that this is it, this is what our lives are really all about. We couldn't ever feel this without suffering, though. Still, I wish we could all feel it before we die, and maybe in time, we all will.
Beautiful words 💖
The ending is so beautiful, I'd cry my face out if it wasn't balanced out with the sheer amount of greatness in this piece.
As the generation of my age say: "Ahhh! The feels!"
RRRRYYYYAAAAANNN!!!! :D
I hear this song a lot. Its absolutely breathtaking.
This piece became one of my favorites a few years ago. It always brought on the tears. And you, Sir, have played it beautifully. Thank you!🌹
Best soundtrack ever. And by far the best movie I have seen. The dialogues are amazing and it tells us so many important things.
This is the music from my dream.
This is it!
Show your identification birthmark pls
badger Teemo It's look like a comet.
Sure. That's a quote from the movie Cloud Atlas.
Sinister I know , I know.
When I first heard this song in this video, I was just starting out my education career. 11 years later, I'm about to finish my post grad degree, and as I'm writing my last assignment, this version of the song is still a pivotal part of me. Still something that reminds me of hours and hours of dedicated talent, work, and determination, both by the musician and by me. Thanks for uploading this 11 years ago and thanks for being a part of my education journey.
I 've already set my heart on having this song playing when I walk down the aisle at my wedding. It's just beautiful.
I actually heard this music in my dream last night! It was magnificent!
ахахаха)))))
+Sinister, I suppose everyone understood this joke...
+Mugicianwill Were you breaking porcelain in your dream ?
Vyvyan? is that you?!)))
In a nightmarish cafe?
я вспоминаю все дни своей жизни, детство, юность и сейчас. грустно становится
what is a song, but a multitude of notes ?
+Windownsmp and you're a bag of meat
correction, im a bag of meat that talks :D
+Windownsmp A multitude of notes that deeply strikes the human conscience :D
Very interesting talk with some philosophic statements.
"Bag" might not be the right word anyway.
You just played the first two keys and I'm already crying inside. This Film is an absolute legend.
“We are the universe experiencing itself.”
это божественно. каждый раз эмоции через край.
This makes me wanna cry...not because I’m sad, but because I’m alive and living. I want to keep living. I know did before-imma keep going. I want to experience all forms of love 💕
Whenever I hear this tune it eradicates the stress from my brain and I feel...I feel...I feel...like I am floating in the sky!!!...With no one to disturb me...and I can say that this is the Song From My Dreams!!!
OMG!!! this is the best instrumental i have ever heard.this truly eradicates the stress from my head :)
This song actually brings me to tears and I still don't know why.
My eyes get misty every time I sit back and listen to this….so splendidly, done, and from one of my all-time favorite films and novels.
Прекрасная мелодия из прекрасного фильма! Спасибо))))))))
Amazing.. Must have watched this over 100 times now.. Best piano version on UA-cam!
Wow nice tune
Dominic Kenneally glad im not alone ...ive become part of it
Loved this 10 years ago . Still love it .
I truly love that gentle group of notes at the end. They really capture the care within the story.
"Why do we keep making the same mistakes over and over again" Congratulations Mark you play the song beautifully
Не знаю почему, но это одна из тех "мелодий или композиции" как правильно назвать, просто мурашки по коже. Даже не знаю сколько он я её слушал.
I could not have heard a better rendition!...beautiful.
Браво! Мурашки по спине от красоты звучания ♥️
One of a kind. Truly. Has to be seen twice to begin to grasp its full dimension.
As Beautiful as the original soundtrack orchestra. Still moves the heart. Does this song make anyone else cry buckets? As it builds in layers my eyes well up to the point where I can barely see the screen.
There is music that touches your heart instantly, taking you to a flight of emotions and goosebumps. This piece is one of it ❤
I want that to... sitting alone in peace in my room playing such a masterpiece and enjoying my time~
BRAVO!!!!!!! GHOOSE BUMPS...BRAVO!!!
Лучшее исполнение этого саундтрека, что я когда либо слышал. Великолепно!
Absolutely brilliant. I've played this video more 40x. Great and beautiful music
An amazing music from an amazing but shamefully underrated film. 👍
Un film exceptionnel ❤. Des acteurs majestueux
...thank you very much for the beautiful performance ... wonderful composition 😊🎵🎶🎹❤
I live with some friends who only listen to loud hip hop and rap mu... (I deleted the word "music"). I like to listen to wonders such as this everytime I'm being creative (which is often). While they're listening to beats and lyrics about spending money and bitches, I succumb to this kind of profound, meneangful, beautiful music, thinking how much they miss in life, how unfortunate they are to be grounded in the most tangible layers of existence, unable to trully listen, see and feel. Not that I'm any better from other points of view, but at least this music and its kind pushed me to start so many ambitious projects (like complex board games and endless series of books) while many people I know just live their life one day at a time, with nothing to remember and nothing to pass on, show and being represented by. Long live beautiful music!
Эта музыка пронизывает до глубины души.
This suite is so melancholic and for some reason reminds me of past experiences, ahh the power of great music
Best Cloud Atlas Sextet interpretation I have ever listened to. Every time I listen to it, I have goosebumps. But this version... Your version has so much more. It's like an illumination or a sudden realisation of life.
I can listen to this forever.
Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot.
The music- this music, it finds its way into your soul, and it stays there. Oh how I love that film. The love, it is truly beautiful and talks of boundlessness.
I heard this music in a dream, I was underground, long dead, but there was a cafe where all the waitresses wore the same face. This tune was playing there, a fragile, crystal refrain on a bad radio.
One of the best scores to a movie. Well played.
I understand now, that boundaries between noise and sound are conventions. All boundaries are conventions, waiting to be transcended. One may transcend any convention, if only one can first conceive of doing so. Moments like this, I can feel your heart beating as clearly as I feel my own, and I know that separation is an illusion. My life extends far beyond the limitations of me. - Robert Frobisher
Wow. what a fabulous performance.
je crois que je ne m'en lasserai jamais
просто супер одна из первых моих композиций которую я изучал благодаря таким вертуозам такие как я чайники начинают развиваться спасибо вам огромное !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why do I flippin cry so much...... beyond beautiful, thank you xx
Thanks for sharing this.
Great film which I've watched a couple of times. Alex lent me a copy he'd made but I've not seen him since to return it
It is amazing how you can hear a song and when you close your eyes you can see in your mind all sorts of things past, present, and future play out.
It makes me sad. It makes me happy it makes me all things no words can explain only the great one
Great performance. I'm crying...
thanks
I suffer from depression and am crying now, I listen you your playing each day to calm me down, please don't stop.

And here's wonderworld is opening.... So wonderful ❤️

Beautifully played. Thanks for sharing.

Ein wunderschöner Film und ein wunderschöner Sound...
Wer du bist?
I've read loads of books. Some better than Cloud Atlas, some worse. But I haven't read many passages like Robert Frobisher's letters in Cloud Atlas. They were the best thing about the book, without a shadow of a doubt. They will leave you with nothing but pure raw emotion. I bet they'll touch anyone with a soul. The movie didn't do them justice. For anyone who is reading this comment, I urge you to read the book, or at least Robert Frobisher's letters. You'll love them.
I got the book but I saw nothing separate about letters.
